The Driftless Area is a distinctive region in northeast Iowa that was not covered by glaciers during the last ice age, unlike most of the United States. This geological anomaly resulted in a landscape of rolling hills, cliffs, and dense forests rather than the flattened terrain created by glacial activity elsewhere. The area features the Driftless Area Visitor Center in Lancing, Iowa, which provides educational exhibits about the region's unique geography and natural history. The region's distinctive topography makes it a popular destination for outdoor activities, including river ferries across the Mississippi River and scenic drives along the Driftless Area Scenic Byway.

Exploring the Driftless Area: Barn Airbnb, River Ferries & Campfire BratsAdded:
probably. Damn, that's a nice house.
Look at that yard.
>> A lot of those house A lot of the houses are nice. Yeah.
>> All right, y'all. Well, welcome back.
So, I'm out on a little birthday trip with the Mrs. She's going to be behind the camera for most of this. And we are currently in northeast Iowa in what is known as the Drifless region. Uh, I'll probably have to look it up cuz I'm not going to be able to tell you, but it's like I think the gist of it is this is an area. Damn, look at that. like cave under there.
>> Mhm.
>> This is an area that uh you might be able to see out the windows that during like the last ice age, it missed this area. So the the uh glaciers or like during during the ice age, the glaciers missed this area. So it didn't like just rip all the rock off and flatten all the land out like it did to a lot of the United States. So it's this is gorgeous country. I love it up here.
Uh, but anyways, we will be here for like what, four nights and we've got an Airbnb that the wife picked out. It looks like an old barn or something. So, we're only about 20 minutes away from there. We've been on the road for about 7 hours today. Uh, but yeah, I'm excited for this weekend. We're just going to wander around and enjoy the sights and enjoy the Airbnb. So, stay tuned.
Look at the trees around that cemetery.
>> Yeah, they're odd looking.
It's weird.
Wonder what kind of trees those are.
>> Anybody knows what those big straight Some sort of like pine or something, you know?
>> Yep.
In 600 ft, your destination will be on the left.
>> Wonder if they left the keys to the square body here.
Your destination is on the left.
All right, we've made it.
Is there another fire pit up there? I don't know. Uh, we made it. It's an old barn and it's like a stone base. Let me get out. There's no reason for me to just look at this thing out the window.
Give me the camera.
Yeah, this is cool. Oh, the fire pit is up there. I thought it was on the other side of the house. So, yeah, the whole basement is stone. This was a legitimate barn back in the day. Uh, if you look at this, and I I'll see if I can toss it into the video maybe, but if you look at this place, like on Google Maps from 2012, it is literally the old barn sitting here. So, they put new siding and whatever on there and uh cleaned it up. Like, that's the original base.
Super nice. At least it looks super nice from the outside. And then you're in this valley here. And that's all like that goes way up. There's big rocks and whatnot. We might have to wander in there and not get eaten by a grizzly bear because we're probably in bear countryish, I would assume.
And then yeah, I don't know what any of this is, if we have access to any of that or not, but >> they said they're working on turning that into like a >> little area. That would be cool. There's an air conditioner in there.
All right, let's see what this is.
The fire pit looks nice right here.
Yeah. And there's firewood. I thought that fire pit was somewhere else for whatever reason.
>> No, I knew it was right there.
>> Yeah, that is really nice.
Spiral staircase.
You got the code to get in the door?
>> Mhm.
>> It's nice.
So TV, nice moist couch, half bath. I think our bedroom is upstairs. Yeah.
Be careful not to fall off the steps in the middle of the night.
They're narrow steps.
I say that she My wife about falls behind me. Yeah, these steps are super narrow. That is >> definitely not to regulation.
And then as you come up the steps, you've got two like built-in beds here.
So if you had kids or whatever, you've got the deck outside that has the spiral staircase up.
And you've got a full bath.
Bam.
It's nice.
Extra towels and King-size bed up here with a nice view, TVs.
It's nice.
I'm going to go check out the basement.
What was that code?
>> Your phone number.
The last four digits of your phone number.
>> That's whack. Yeah. You got to be real careful going up and down these steps.
Like >> you can see that's not uh I imagine those might be like original to the barn >> maybe.
>> Um because that would not meet current regulations. I can promise you that.
Yeah. The the basement level is like a completely separate space. It's not accessible from the inside up there, which is kind of cool. If you were going to come here with a few different people, you could actually basically have two separate apartment kind of things.
Bam. And then you've got couple beds down here. Is there a light switch somewhere in here? Maybe.
I don't know what that one did.
And then yeah, like the the original brick walls that I'm sure this was all coried locally here. There might be a book up something or something upstairs that says it. But then you got two looks like maybe a full and a queen. They might both be queens down here. Washer dryer, which is nice. And another bathroom, which that's kind of actually, you know, very rustic, but very neat. It fits right in. kind of think they could have maybe found some some of those rocks.
But I might shower down here just to shower like in a little cave area.
That's cool.
Look at that hair.
This is a cool spot. This is a really cool spot.
Can't go in there.
Turn these off.
Back outside.
And we're locked. Okay. Well, we're going to hang out for a bit and uh enjoy ourselves here. Like I said, we'll be here for a few days. Tomorrow's my birthday. Uh dang, old 42. 42.
Uh, I have to ask my wife all the time cuz I don't ever remember how old I am, which is probably like normal I think for people this day and age or like as you get this, you know, older, you forget how old you are. Uh, but yeah, I don't know if this is accessible over here.
Oh, yes, it is.
That's cool. Check this out. You got some board games.
It's an old little old barn. I love the old license plates. 1939.
That's old.
These are all really old, too. 1922.
1921.
Can't even see the date. 22 on there.
This one doesn't have one. Back in the day, they uh maybe that's 1939. Okay.
Some of them back in the day, they would give you a little tag to put on there.
Yeah, this is cool that it's open. I didn't know if it was open or not. They don't have it locked or anything. So, uh, and then yeah, you've got a bar if you want to sit out here and watch that.
There's another little building over here. Ooh, is there a hole in the floor here?
There is pure. What is that?
Look at that.
Gentry's pure Missouri apossum. Sundried and road tenderized. 1989 Gentry Products.
Pure sundried, road tenderized possum run over by a cattle truck 2 mi south of Ozark, Missouri. Not over 20% hair.
Gravel and for matter in there for novelty purposes only. Wonder what's actually in there.
But it says, "You open, you eat." That's funny.
All right. There's an old square body over there. Uh, but I'm not going to try to steal their truck. But this is cool.
You have like a bar area, you know.
That's neat. All right, I'm going to head back in.
We will probably get ourselves a fire going a little bit later. Uh, we got some BRZ and stuff. We've also got some like raviolis. Not sure what we're going to eat, but like I said, we'll be here for a few days.
>> Here's my Michael.
>> All right, y'all. So, we are on our way to the Drifless area. It's like a museum and learning center, something like that, right along the river. Uh, I believe it's in Lancing. I could be wrong with that. I >> think so.
>> But, uh, we're going to go check that out and see what it's all about and check out some river views. So, and see what the driftless area is since I don't know exactly what it is, but I think it's got something to do with the ice age and glaciers and whatnot, but we'll see.
>> And we're currently on a driftless area scenic byway, which is a really curvy kind of cool road.
>> This would be a really fun area on motorcycles if you're into that stuff.
>> Yeah.
Or what is it called?
the spider.
>> Oh, >> he likes to make fun of me because I think one of those spiders would be cool. There's some rocks up on the side of the highway up here.
>> Well, all along the side of the >> Yeah.
>> Yeah. It's a gorgeous area. You You know, >> it's not what you would expect of Iowa.
>> Yeah.
>> Unless you're familiar with the area.
It's just tree covered rolling hills and cliff faces everywhere.
And then you just get down to the river area and it's gorgeous out there, too.
I don't know if you guys will be able to see the river down there through the trees. Looks like they're working on a bridge over here.
Can't see it. There's so many trees out here. It's beautiful. Like, it's just everything is so green right now.
Oh, there's cars on a ferry down there.
I wonder if the bridge is completely out.
Maybe we could take the ferry across the water.
There's a new bridge.
>> Lots of construction.
>> We've got a quaint little cliff side.
>> At the next stop sign, turn left.
>> Riverside Town.
At the stop sign, turn left onto Great River Road, Main Street.
>> Then you'll turn right onto North Front Street, Great River Road.
>> Lancing, Iowa, where eagles soar.
>> The museum's down here on the river.
>> It's farther down, but yeah, I think you're right.
>> Right onto North Front Street, Great River Road. I think you're right on a bluff over the river.
>> No drones allowed. Violators will be prosecuted.
>> Coffee on the river with a bunch of trikes.
>> We did see a spider.
Uh what are they called? What kind of >> something spider? It's not Yamaha. Canam spider. Yeah, we did see one. There's a BFW post right on the river.
That looks like an enjoyable day out there.
>> Some boats out there.
>> Turn right onto Columbus Road. Then your destination will be on the right.
There's no like Model T over there.
You want to ride it?
>> That is a big turtle.
>> Is it? Well, I feel like that's got to be. It's not metal.
>> I don't want to sit on it.
So, here's a map.
The dark areas of the region, and then this would be the river.
And we're here.
We're staying. I don't know. I think it's over in this area.
Maybe. Yeah.
So, yeah, this says drift is rocks and sediment left behind by glaciers. Because most glaciers missed this region, they left no drift behind. That's why it's called driftless.
They do think that one of them was on the area at one point, but most of them missed it.
BBS.
There's a raccoon. Look at the raking right here. And this is really cool.
They have live bees in here.
Check that out.
That's cool.
Look at this guy.
Dude, there's a bunch of So, they must have like a Oh, there's parts of the uh the hive.
>> And so, there must be an entrance and exit on the side of the building. And they're just out here. And there's Daniel Bronco over there.
Some snakes. I think there's Oh, there's a froggy right there.
There's a milk snake in there.
Don't know if I see him.
More snakes. He's back there.
1931 was the original bridge.
>> So that's the bridge they're replacing.
It's been there since 1931.
You can barely see out the window over there.
>> Ooh, it's an old ice fishing like scratcher. Uh, you put that on the back of a johnboat instead of a motor in the winter. And so you can just slide the boat on the ice and that just spins and just grips just like a wheel, a tire would. Oh yeah, it says scratcher.
>> Of course, they did a bunch of uh wood like sawmill stuff all along the river cuz there's so many trees out here.
It's just old school johnboat wooden.
>> That one kept its bottom though.
muscles.
Oh, that's what this boat is. Clamming boat. So, you must just drop all these off the side just like this boat here and the clams and stuff. Attach like grab onto these and you just reel the whole thing up, I guess. I don't know.
Oh, there's a rattlesnake in here.
>> There's a rattlesnake.
>> I don't think it's real.
Maybe it's real. It's locked. He's molting. Yeah, it's real.
He just doesn't care about me.
I want to hear your rattle.
got by an old prairie chicken.
It's a nice view from up here. You got plenty of boats out there and then this is like a waterway. People go going in and out somewhere back over yonder.
Great view.
Couple of boats.
Get yours over, dude.
Looks like that guy's getting a toe.
Yeah, he might be getting a toe.
All right. So, the museum thing was neat. Uh, but we are going to see if we can find our way onto that ferry.
I think I've got something marked on maps and uh that'll get us there.
Although, I don't know exactly how to get down to it. I don't know. We'll see what we can figure out cuz this is going to try to turn me that way. At the stop sign, turn right onto Great River Road.
>> Don't listen to her. She doesn't know what she's talking about.
>> Take your next left onto Lancing Harper's Road.
>> Business B business telling.
>> She's listened to you a lot.
>> You're good at business telling.
>> You guys are It's conspiracy. You guys are against >> Yeah.
>> Where's my tin foil hat at?
speed.
>> Turn left onto Lancing Harper's Road.
>> No.
Continue for 20 miles.
>> No, doesn't want me to go across the river here.
>> In 800 ft, turn left onto Walnut Street.
>> Does the ferry run on Sundays?
>> We're about to find Well, yeah, cuz I can see cars on.
>> Oh, okay.
Turn left onto Walnut Street. Then you'll take your first left onto Pearl Street.
>> Go past Iowa Street and turn left onto Valley Street.
I'm just going to stop her for now cuz she is annoying.
Yeah, that train has probably had people walk across the tracks in front of them one too many times. So that's probably why they blast it the entire way. And I mean there's benches out there.
>> Yeah, people are crossing.
>> Yep.
background on the front porch just watching.
But that is a cool VFW.
Little N.
car fair is this way.
Is there anybody on it? Where's it at?
Is it on the other side?
Doesn't look like it.
>> I see. It looks like cars lined up over there on the other side.
Oh, I see it there.
Looks like they're just loading it.
Yeah, the cars are opened that way.
Is that full?
So this is the entrance. Do not enter.
All these people will use all waiting.
Those people are waiting. Oh yeah, there's two lines.
>> Maybe look like five waiting. Maybe >> a big crank.
>> Yeah. to get boats out or something off the water, shipping container stuff or >> or is that part of the new bridge?
>> That might be they might be building the sections there and then >> they like barge them over and lift them up. I bet you.
>> All right.
It's a cool house.
Keep breath two times.
Well, we're about to get ourselves on a ferry, guys.
All right. Oh, and this is like a little restaurant right here. But yeah, we're about to get on the ferry. We're number five. This is going to be neat.
All right.
All right.
>> We're moving.
Lots going on down here.
Are we going to be at the front?
Maybe we might be front and center.
That would be cool if we get that lucky.
Yeah. Hey, check this out.
>> We are front and center on a car ferry going across the Missouri Mississippi, excuse me, Mississippi River. There's a tugboat that just like pulls it from the side over there. Get a shot of that before the vehicles come in.
Big old dies with Mr. Cavanaaugh, too.
And then, yeah, you can see the big centerpiece of the bridge that's missing.
Wow.
This is neat, man. This is really neat.
Super cool that we got front row seats.
And we're just like literally just going across the river to the other side. This will be 5 minutes.
You kind of feel the whole thing moving.
We're getting taken over by a motorcycle gang.
Well, our front row seats did last. The guys at the bikes pulled up and then you can see all these people in front of us.
But I suppose I should probably get out and give you guys a little bit of a better view.
What you think? It's up to you.
>> I got to get out.
I feel weird. Like vertigo almost.
That was all the way.
Yeah.
Check that out.
>> Just like spinning around. Yeah, >> that's cool.
>> That's pretty sweet.
>> Yeah, vivid.
has air power on the ground.
>> Here, I'll take the walk first. Get them out of the way.
>> Yeah, they're going right back. Then just have to unload them, lose again.
I was going to say something Did they tell you about the body?
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah. There was a bunch of people that just just to ride it over it. That's cool that they let them do that.
>> They get them off and just tell them to go stand to the side. All right. Here you go.
We're getting off of here.
Yeah.
Thank you.
>> Have a good one.
Well, y'all, that was interesting.
>> Uh, yeah, it's been forever since I've been on a ferry like that. We did it a little bit when I was like growing up on I think it was on Lake Erie with some family to go to different islands. But did we have we ever driven on a ferry? I feel like >> I thought we did in Seattle, but I can't remember if we had a car at that point if we rented one. I know we rented one.
I just don't remember if we had it at that time.
>> All right. Well, we're going to head down the road. It's like 45 miles to the next bridge and uh we're going to see what we can see. So yeah, it's gorgeous out here though. But we cross the river and then there's all these this stuff like slows I think they're called and it's just greenery everywhere you look. It's gorgeous.
Oh, there's a huge like river boat over here. Can you guys see that down there?
That's cool.
It look Oh, it's a casino.
Riverboat casino. Doesn't surprise me.
>> Use the left lane to take the exit toward First Street. Then you'll use the left lane to take the ramp to First Street, Great River Road.
>> That's a cool town for sure.
>> You want to stop at farmers market or it's just like junk shop.
All right. I got a $20 bill. You want to go?
It feels like you're rich.
Buy some junk.
>> Use the left lane to take the ramp to First Street. Then at the next stop sign, you'll turn left.
>> There's a lot going on. Do you want to stop in there?
>> No, it's all right.
>> Here we go. This is cool, man. This whole river area is just It's neat, you know.
>> At the stop sign, turn left onto First Street, Great River Road.
>> I would definitely >> You'll turn right onto Iowa 76 North.
>> There's a stop sign on that side.
>> Uh, I don't see one. I would definitely like to come back here with my motorcycle.
Uh cuz you could literally just ride up the river on one side, go across, ride down on the other side, and you know, you could spend an entire day doing that. Well, they got Pokémon on Iowa 76 North First Street.
So we're in Marquette, city of Marquette, Iowa. Dangle, Iowa.
We just went through Prairie Duchen on the other side and that's where we crossed at. The Blue Brick Inn is for sale.
Mrs. Would you want to buy a blue hotel?
>> I think I'm all right.
>> Oh, never know.
That's cool.
>> Yeah. Yeah. Now we're just on the other side of the river. It's gorgeous. Like I have to come back here with my motorcycle and spend a couple of days spend a couple days riding around. Um yeah, it'd be be nice to wait till that bridge is open, but it's also would be cool to take my motorcycle across the river on a ferry. Oh, this is a neat area, guys. Don't uh don't just sleep on it cuz you think Iowa is a flyover state or Wisconsin or Minnesota. It's all in the same area. You know, the driftless and then you got sweet cars, cutless motorcycle. I ain't want people out cruising. Tell you what.
All right, y'all. So, we've made it back. We get a fire going. Uh we were at that driftless visitor center. They were selling fire starters.
Uh so, we picked these up because it says they're fire starters made with pride by adults with autism. And these were made by Daniel, an adult with autism. Each purchase of JT Fire Starters helps Daniel lead a successful independent life. In the future, he hopes to expand and employ others with disabilities. Uh you can check this out at jtfirestarters.com if you want to. Uh so we'll see how these work. They look decent. Kind of like the ones that I used to make.
except in instead of being uh sawdust, they have like looks like probably old newspaper.
You're just supposed to break break one off. I always use two when I make them myself. It's been a long time since I've done that, but they had a hatchet here. There's not a lot of kindling, so might try to break some of this up. The woods are big old chunks.
That's a pretty pretty dang dull hatchet, but we'll get some pieces off of here.
I don't know if I can do this.
Probably not. It's hard.
Not too shabby.
All right, we might be able to get her going with that.
Let's see how these light up.
not too shabby. Tell you what.
Perfect day.
Little teepee.
Not too shabby. Let that go for a second and grab some uh Oh, this is even different. New Glaris Brewing Tal Tail Wagger Amber. I thought I just grabbed their What was the name of that? What's the spotted cow?
New Glora spotted cow. I just grabbed a six-pack. Completely grabbed the wrong one. But it's amber ale. I don't think I've actually ever had this before. I've had the uh the regular spotted cow. So, yeah, this is brooed in Wisconsin.
Bottled and brewed in Wisconsin.
I think I could I think I could open it with the hatchet.
I'm a real mountain man. We're down in the holler, though. Holler, Iowa. This is a holler. We're down in the holler.
Not too shabby. All right.
This guy go if I can split this guy.
Not too shabby.
Would have been nice to get even smaller one, but we're going to keep that out actually.
Well, cabin.
Going to get it raging.
>> Might as well see if that'll burn.
All right, that should go.
We're going to hang out by the fire for a bit and uh we've got some weird sausages the wife picked out. What are they?
>> Dill pickle brz. Still pickle BRZ. We'll see what they're all about. So, yeah.
All right. The Mrs. is mixing up a salad and we've got these from Edgewood Locker. We picked these up locally. They are fully cooked dill pickle flavored broughtwurst. So, we're going to give these things a try. Uh, cool enough >> with the decor hy.
>> Dora hi. So, I started the grill and then I came in here and I started looking around because I was like, they got to have hot dog pokers and sitting right here on the steps, we've got some extendable pokers. It's nice that they have this fire pit here. They have, like I said, a big grill and uh like a Blackstone griddle, but I'm going to cook over the fire while I can.
We played a game of cornhole. It was very close >> until the end.
>> Until the end. It was 1919 in the last round. Neither of us are very good at cornhole, but it was enjoyable to play.
We used the AI overlords to keep score since we don't know how to play and it told us what to do. We're not cornhole afficionados, but that's a functional use of that stuff, I guess. Thanks.
>> Oh, I'll eat that one.
You want to go rinse it off?
>> That one's fine.
Uh, we'll probably just cut that out.
It's a It's a use for it, I guess.
I don't know if I'll be able to get two of them on there.
That'll work. All right.
have to.
>> It's heavy with no we >> I'm just going to go one weenie at a time.
It is dang hot over here by the fire. I tell you, >> I've been telling him that it's not even like 75° out. It's over 75. We probably didn't need it raging yet.
>> Have a good fire going. But our wieners are going. Can you see those?
>> Yeah.
>> Our wieners are getting nice and toasty.
>> Roasty and toasty.
>> But it's hot. And of course, I am cooking the wiener for the misses.
They're kind of weird.
>> I was inside doing some dishes.
>> Light looking. But one of the plus sides, this place, like everywhere we've stayed, you have to do the dishes or put them in the dishwasher. I think this might be the first place we've stayed that isn't a hotel. Well, and hotels don't even have dishes in the rooms.
They said, "Put the dishes in the sink.
You're on vacation. We'll take care of it." That is worth a lot of money just to just cuz we we've been here for a couple days. We've cooked himself.
There's a sink full of dishes. Mhm.
>> Uh we the misses just washed a couple cuz you feel somewhat guilty, but maybe they just want to do it themselves anyways, you know, to make sure it's done correctly. But having that that is a huge plus to not have to do the dishes >> for sure.
>> I tell you what.
>> All right, I think the weenies are done.
You should see the look on her face back there. I don't want them dripping grease on me.
>> All right, we're going to go plate this up.
This one.
Just going to put these back outside.
All right. I didn't toast my bun. We have like I think all we picked up was ketchup. There wasn't any sauces here.
There's a bunch of spices and things like that, but no ketchup, sadly.
Do you want a bun for you?
>> No, I think there's ketchup.
>> We bought ketchup.
>> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
>> Yeah. I misspoke. Do you want >> No, I think that's what you said. Yeah, that's fine.
>> I don't know about dill pickle rods.
>> We shall see.
I don't even know if ketchup is going to be good on it, honestly. Do you want this?
>> I think so.
>> Do you want the ranch dipping sauce from the other night?
>> No.
>> Ketchup and pickles like they go on burgers and >> I guess I guess >> hot dogs. People put relish on their hot dogs all the time.
I prefer dill.
So, I know some people prefer sweet relish.
Are they in here?
>> What are you looking for?
>> Silver.
>> Uh, right there. Yeah.
>> Big old tater sound.
Speaking of, you remember the old Ron White comedian?
>> That's why.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah.
>> We saw him live once and uh >> it was good.
>> I don't know if he's still >> I think he's might still be performing >> active. Yeah.
>> Uh all right, I'm just going to give you guys a taste test of this and we're going to go enjoy the meal by the fire.
Uh dill pickle sausage. Might be kind of hot.
>> It's good.
>> Are you going to put ketchup on it or you did you not want it?
>> It's a dill flavor. Absolutely. Oh, it's jalapeno ketchup that I picked up. Um, that's actually really good. It's not overpowering by any means.
That's pretty tasty. But we'll try some jalapeno ketchup on there.
That works surprisingly well. That's actually really good and perfectly toasted over the fire. All right, we're going to eat our dinner.
Tater salad and and the salad's obviously going to be great. and I'll get back to you guys in a bit.
>> Oh, good morning.
>> What you think?
>> What's I think about what?
>> I don't know.
>> The sun rises early.
>> It does.
It's coming up over that hill.
Oh man, it was a great night.
Played some yachts.
I think she she rolled three yachts in one round.
>> I did.
>> What the hell?
Uh, but I did roll a yacht. Did I roll a couple of them?
>> Yeah.
>> So, if you can actually roll a yachti during gameplay, it's still kind of cool. What?
Oh, you say you got coffee ready for me?
>> Yeah, I heard you moving around.
>> Okay, I think it's time to get up.
Good morning.
The stairs are stairs are sketchy. The old things outside and enjoy the beautiful morning. I leave my shoes upstairs. No, they're over here.
Got me some scratch tickets.
Iowa scrunch tickets >> pretty much didn't win.
I think we bought like $6 worth of tickets cuz we're high rollers.
I won $4. So went down two.
Might have to reinvest our winnings. See see if we can make it big next time.
It's beautiful out here. We had a raccoon visitor last night.
>> Yeah.
>> She got scared and went inside. It's like he's not going to hurt you.
>> Because he wasn't really running away at all.
>> He was hungry. He was trying to get our sausage.
>> Yeah.
>> You can see over here they uh with this deal kind of greasy. It's covered in raccoon hair. It's the grease trap for that thing. But the raccoons are coming over here and they keep pulling it out. And you can see little raccoon prints kind of in the grease. Like there's one right there.
Yeah.
>> So, they know there's some tasty treats around here. That's what they're coming for.
But it's coffee time. Not too shabby.
There's a crow.
I can hear it.
>> Coral.
We were talking about how one of the best parts of this place, I mean, the inside is great, but there's just a lot of nice space outside to enjoy. The fire pit's awesome.
That area, those chairs are super comfortable. They're little rockers, aderondac rockers.
And yesterday morning, because it was sunny and warm, we brought the chairs that are with the table over there over here on the other side of the deck where it's a little more shaded.
So, that's nice, too, that they've got some area you can enjoy when the sun's beating down in the later morning, early afternoon hours.
Don't fall.
>> I'm just looking for a Rapunzel.
>> My gosh.
You're >> supposed to look down for me.
>> King of the castle. King of the castle.
>> I thought you were trying to play Rapunzel.
>> You're the one up on the stairs.
>> I'm not really into >> Let your golden hair down.
>> I'm not into like that's your thing.
That's your thing. I'm live.
>> I like the spinal staircases, guys. I think they're neat.
Except when you walk her by and head on it, >> which he did yesterday.
>> Thankfully, I had a hat on or I probably would have needed stitches.
>> All right. Well, I'm going to enjoy the my coffee.
sit in the rockers one last time before we pack up and head home.
>> They're wet. It rained.
>> Yeah, it did rain this morning.
All righty, y'all. We've got everything packed back in. I think that's probably about it for us for this adventure. It was a great birthday. This was a beautiful Airbnb to stay at. Uh can't say enough about the spot in general.
Just >> It's gorgeous. You're just in this little cove. You're in the holler.
You're down in a hollow. Absolutely.
It's It's beautiful in here. Uh >> Mike wants to take that truck home over there.
>> Yeah. There's a nice old GMC square body over there. Short bed, half ton, manual transmission, four-wheel drive. It's a little crusty, but it's a pretty cool unit. Anyways, uh yeah. Got anything you'd like to add?
>> It was a great spot. I enjoyed it. Yeah, >> I enjoyed it immensely.
>> And the dripless area is really cool. If you've never looked into it or you've never been in this area, definitely give it a give it a look. Check it out. Uh we've done a couple of different trips up here. I've been up here with Travis and some spots like that. So, it's a gorgeous area.
>> Yeah. Again, it's not what you would expect if you're from Nebraska particularly, which I know most of you are not, but it's not what you would expect of Iowa.
>> Yeah.
>> Very cool.
>> It's cool. So, all righty y'all. Stay tuned for the next adventure. I'll see you in a bit.
