Added:Hello little learners. Welcome back to a fun maths lesson. Today we're going to learn how to count all the way to 100.
Wow, that's a big number, isn't it?
Don't worry, we'll count together, play number games, and as always, have lots of fun. Are you ready? Let's begin.
Today we're counting to 100.
That is 10 groups of 10. We'll count by ones. We'll count by tens. And then we'll play some fun number games. Let's get started. Let's count together from 1 to 20. Ready?
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20. Fantastic. Let's keep going to 30 now. 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30. Now, if you think about it, it's pretty simple to figure out what the next number is. Okay? So, for example, for the 20s, it will always start with 20 and then something because 20 is the first number of that series or that category. So, it will just be 20 1 22 because it's the same as you go from 1 to 10. In this case, you're going from 21 to 30. Okay? So, it's just the second number that will change. So, it is very easy to know the names of what's going to come next. Now, we finished up to 30.
Let's keep counting.
31 32 33 34 35 36 37 38 39 40. Excellent. You reach 40. Now let's keep going all the way.
41 42 43 44 45 46 47 48 49 50. Amazing. We've reached the halfway point now. Great job.
Now we're going to learn how to count by tens. Ready? Tens is after every 10 numbers. So you go from 1 to 10, then 11 to 20, then 21 to 30. Like that. So let's count by tens. I'll say the number you repeat. Okay? 10 20 30 40 50 60 70 80 90 100.
Very good. Okay. So, these are counting by tens. Now, we reached up to 50.
Right? Now, we're going to go from 50 to 100. Okay? the same structure as how we did for all of the previous numbers.
We'll just start from 50 then something 50 then something and all the way to 60 70 80 90 100. Okay, ready? We'll start from 51. Ready? 51 52 53 54 55 56 57 58 59 60.
Now we've reached 60. Right? That is one checkpoint done.
Right? Next one is from 60 to 70. Ready?
61 62 63 64 65 66 67 68 69 70. Oo, we brushed up to 70 now. Just three more sets to go. Ready? 71 72 73 74 75 76 77 78 79 80.
Now 20 more numbers to go. Ready? 81 82 83 84 85 86 87 88 89 90.
91 92 93 94 95 96 97 98 99 and 100. Well done everyone. We did it.
That was a long long long process but we finally did it. Now, as you keep practicing more and more, it will come to you really, really, really easily.
Now, I went to counting by 10 just so we could take a little break. We're just going to look at it one more time, and then we're going to play some numbers um and some number games. Yes. So, let's try the counting by 10 one more time.
Ready? 10 20 30 40 50 60 70 80 90 100.
If you see most of the time these numbers that we count by 10 if you have a number grid 100 to counting to 100 grid if you see all the numbers on the bottom so 10 20 30 40 that's what we literally said right now. So the end of each series of numbers. So we go 1 to 10, 11 to 20. That is what we mean by counting by 10. So we add 10 each time.
So now as always, let's play some games like some missing number games that we really love. Okay. Now we're going to do counting by 10. Okay. So, we're not counting straight away. So, from 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90. Okay, I'm going to say that, but I'm going to obviously leave out one number. You're going to have to figure out which one I've missed out. Okay, I can start from any number and end at any number I want.
Okay, this time I'm going to start at 10. Are you ready? Listen very carefully. Okay. 10 20 40 50.

That's right. 30. Now I'm going to start from 60 and go to 100. 60 70 90 100.
What's missing?
80. Very good.
Now I'm going to start from 42 and go up to 49.
42 43 44 45 47 48 49.
Which one is missing?
46. Very good. Now I'm going to go from 48 to 52. Okay. 48 49 51 52. What's missing?
50. Great work. Now, let's play another game. I'm going to give you a number and then I'm going to ask you what are the numbers that come after or before this number. Okay?
What comes after 29?
30. Excellent.
What comes before 40?
39. Wonderful. What comes after 58?
59. Fantastic.
What comes before 75?
74. Great job. What comes after 99?
100. Amazing.
Let's count from different numbers. This is very good practice because as you go up to big school, you might not always be asked to count from one. They will ask you to count from any random number and you have to be able to count to much much bigger numbers. Okay. So, let's start at 12. Going to go from 12 to 20.
Ready? 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20. Now, let's start at 95.
We're going from 95 to 100. 95 96 97 98 99 100.
Very good.
