Are Vloggers Super Annoying? - Should Vloggers and Streamers Be Banned From Disney World?

[00:00:09]Hey you all, Carpet Bagger here coming to you live from the South. More specifically, we are in Wesville, North Carolina. And I wanted to do something a little different today. I wanted to talk about the news. No, not the depressing news, not the national news, but uh the theme park news. Now, uh you know, if you look on social media and you follow um you know, different sites that report on theme parks, you'll see a lot of splashy headlines. One of those headlines um that I have been seeing recently is that Disney will be is is considering banning live streams at theme parks.

[00:01:06]I've even seen some people claim that Disney will ban vlogging at theme parks.

[00:01:12]So, you know, it makes me ask myself, are vloggers annoying? Are live streamers annoying? You know, I whether or not I like the title, I am a vlogger. I I make my living be vlogging. I am not exclusively a theme park vlogger. I'm not exclusively a Disney vlogger, but I do vlog theme parks and I do vlog Disney parks. I'd vlog Central Florida parks, you know, where there is a big vlogging and live streaming culture. It's also a big vlogging and live streaming culture out in the West Coast where you have Disneyland.

[00:01:52]So, I wanted to talk about this. Um, you know, they say that because of vloggers behavior, because of live streamers behavior that Disney is going to make some changes, going to change the way things are done, they're going to lay the hammer down. and I just wanted to give um my opinion, my two cents on uh this matter. So, let's uh let's talk about this. Please follow me.

[00:02:23]Now, first of all, let's break down what is being said about uh this potential ban um for content creators in the Disney parks.

[00:02:34]Now, the headlines, very scary. Very scary. They're going to ban all live streaming, possibly vlogging. They're going to make it they're going to stop these influencers from ruining everyone's good time in the Disney parks. But that's the headlines.

[00:02:53]And a lot of people only read the headlines. And that's not really that's not really what's happening. Like that's not um that's really not what's on the table here. what um Disney is apparently in discussions trying to fix some things. They've had some issues that they do not want to have and they want to stop these specific issues. Now, my understanding and I didn't this is something I didn't even know existed until I was reading these articles and that is that there is a problem with live auctioning that people will go into a Disney store. I think this happens a lot at the more exclusive stores like the uh cast connections and things where you know you can't necessarily just go and buy things yourself where they will live stream and I've been uh do I think that's it's cast there's there's a store where if you have a friend that works for Disney they can take you with and you can buy stuff there. I've done that.

[00:03:50]I have a video there. Um but I guess what people will do is they will live stream themselves there and they'll say, "Oh, hey, you know, someone bid on this.

[00:03:57]I'll buy this if you guys give me a super chat for that amount. And so Disney does not want that. They don't want you running your own home shopping network out of of their parks. And you know, I get that. I I mean, I get it. I understand it. I don't see why they would want um people uh selling their stuff for more than they are selling it on the secondhand market. That's it's understandably that's something that's something that they specifically apparently did do want to crack down on.

[00:04:30]But you know there is another issue and that is um you know live streamers behavior. Now recently at Disneyland there was a swatting and I don't want to pretend like I know the details of this particular case. I even I don't even remember the name of the live streamer but um someone called someone called uh you know the police that's on someone in the park. The live streamer himself was um when he was confronted about it when Disney was just trying to figure out what's going on, he was pretty rude, pretty um dismissive of them. And this is a you know a big mainstream live streamer. Like not not like a theme not a theme park live streamer. This is more of a I don't know what you would even call it. IRL streamer. someone who just goes to different places and you know and again I I I certainly not victim blaming. SWAT is one of the worst things that you could do. You could literally end up getting someone murdered. So don't ever swat anyone, but um it did seem that um it's it's a strange video if you if you want to look it up yourself, but he would not cooperate with Disney to even like figure out what was going on. He would not show him his ID, would not identify himself. So that caused uh that caused further further problems. And I think when you see them talking when when Disney is talking about behavior, I think that's the kind of behavior that they're talking about. They're not talking about generally like what you would think is a theme park vloggers, people that go to the parks, you know, vlog the new mouse ears, vlog the new uh the rides that are reopening or vlog the rides that are shutting down or, you know, there to show a new thing. That's not I I don't think Disney I and I can't speak for Disney, but I don't think that those are people that Disney has any problem with um whatsoever. I mean, maybe. Who knows? I don't in general, you know, take take your average Central Florida theme park vlogger. I don't think Disney I think Disney appreciates that cuz I think it brings uh business, brings awareness, hypes people up. It's a mutual relationship, but what you have is you have nuisance vloggers um that are coming in. And a nuisance vlogger is someone who basically or a a nuisance streamer who was someone who would basically irritates people in public, films themselves, films other people in public, annoying people in public, and tries to invoke a reaction, tries to invoke a conflict for content.

[00:07:19]They want they want to make quote unquote entertaining content by causing problems out in public. It's basically like real life trolls more than actual streamers or uh or vloggers. And so I think those are the people that uh Disney is really targeting. From what I've read, that's what um Disney is targeting. But you know, let's uh let's talk about this. Should Disney ban all live streaming?

[00:07:52]Should Disney ban even vlogging? Let's uh let's talk about that.

[00:08:01]So, let me give my opinion on on this matter. And again, I am not an objective source. I make my income through vlogging through vlogging theme parks, but al you know, not the only thing I vlog, but I spend a fair amount of time in theme parks. So, let me kind of weigh in on this. First, let's talk about live streaming. Now, a friend of mine, a good friend of mine that is no longer with us, he told me, he said, "Vlogging is annoying, but it is nowhere near as annoying as live streaming." So, I do live streams um live streams and I don't consider I don't consider my live streams to be part of my actual content.

[00:08:55]How I like to to view live streams is just a chat just a chat between me and my subscribers, my viewers. Um I think it's I usually do it in an evening where I have some extra time to do. So, I'll sit back, chat, talk about things, try to get some interesting conversations going.

[00:09:16]And I Oh, no. They're going out of business. This is where I This is where I bought my dining room table. Ah, I really hate to see that. What? That stinks. Anyways, live streaming. Um, I I like to do the live streaming. I like to talk to people. Um, I do not live stream in theme parks. I do not live stream at attractions. I generally live stream in my car, in my house or hotel room, or walking around an open area such as this. I do live streams out here on Main Street sometimes. Um, and there's, you know, there's a reason I don't take I don't fire up the live stream inside of a theme park or inside of an attraction.

[00:10:00]I have done that before. Like don't get me wrong, it's not like I've never done it, but um it can cause issues. Now, first of all, you know, we talked about swatting. Now, I've never been swatted in Well, depends on your definition of swatting. Um I have never had like a aggressive violent swatting issue. There was one time, I don't even think it was me live streaming. I think someone else was live streaming that I was with and someone said that that we were that there was like like a fight or something that broken out and the security came and asked us and we were just like, "Yeah, now I don't know what you're talking about." And they they left. But that's a you know that's a problem. People know where you're at.

[00:10:44]So, I've had people call if I'm inside of a building. I've had people call, you know, call the call the phone number there and um and ask to speak to me. Um I've had people call my hotel room and say or the hotel I'm staying at and say who knows what, you know, basically it's harassment more than more than anything.

[00:11:10]It's just straight up harassment. So, I don't want to I don't want to be harassed and I don't want especially don't want innocent people being like sucked into like stupid harassment like that. So, I generally like to do the live streams out in a common area. You know, this is a street that everyone owns. No one owns this street.

[00:11:31]Theoretically, someone could call the police or something and say, "I'm doing something here." But um it just it it raises an extra level of concern if you are doing that um if you're doing that in a place that someone else owns and you know in a theme park you know that could be a lot of problems. Could call and say you know such and such is causing a problem at Fantasy Land. It can be very incredibly disruptive and I don't know how much that actually happens with uh people that live stream in the parks. But that's always a concern of mine. That's one of the reasons, the big reasons why I don't um live stream in in theme parks or in attractions. Um, also it's just live streaming is not necessarily the content I want to create. Just personally speaking here, I like I like filming videos and I like putting videos together. Um, I think live streaming can be exciting in the moment, but it doesn't really leave anything worth watching. So, it's kind of something that happens and then it's over. If that makes any sense. That's just that's just my thoughts.

[00:12:51]So, let's uh let's talk about whether or not live streaming is annoying. Is it disruptive to other guests in the park? And I think there's situations that it can be disruptive. Now, I want to be clear. I have personally never I spent a lot of time in theme parks and I have never felt disrupted by someone uh doing a live stream and you know I'm kind of used to it. You know I have people come up to me and they're live streaming already and I don't I don't really care.

[00:13:28]I just it's it is what it is. Um, but there's different when you're doing a live stream, stuff is getting broadcast out immediately. When you're doing a vlog or you're filming something for to edit later, you have time to edit things out. You have times I'm I'm not going to use that footage or I'm not going to show this person. So, when you're live streaming, you don't have that safety net. So anything you show is immediately broadcast out to the world. So you could be sitting in line, you know, waiting for a ride and maybe like the people next to you are having a private conversation that they don't know is literally being broadcast to thousands and thousands of people. That could be that could be concerning. Um, also people that are live streaming, they they have to have constant engagement with with their with their audience for the most part. So you could see them, you know, being distracted, you know, maybe walking through crowds, they're looking at the screen of their phone, they're bumping into people because a lot's going on around you. So your awareness level is low. The same the same could be said for vloggers who are filming. You know, I'm not going to say I never walked in someone's way or accidentally bumped into someone. It happens. But when you're live streaming, it it require I think it requires more of your full attention. Maybe not, you know, maybe they can people are better at me at walking and chewing gum at uh at the same time and don't have uh don't have an issue with that.

[00:15:09]And um so yeah, there's there's certain issues certain issues with with live streaming that that I can see like I I'm I'm trying to look at it objectively as possible.

[00:15:22]And you know, I can see certain things now. I feel like I feel like some people do try to paint it online like this is a massive problem. Like there's live streamers everywhere. No one can enjoy anything because there's live streamers.

[00:15:36]I just from my experience in the park, I just don't see that. Like I don't see that many live streamers to begin with.

[00:15:45]And um and it's just I don't know. It just doesn't appear to me as a problem.

[00:15:53]I mean, and again, I'm I'm just speaking from my own experience. I'm sure other people can uh can maybe probably give examples of of issues they've had with live streaming. You know, you have the issues of Yeah, like I said, you can't edit things out. Like if you know, you show something embarrassing like someone like say someone like falls down or throws up on themselves or something maybe they don't want the world to see.

[00:16:18]If you caught that on on a live stream, that's that's out that's out there in the world. So, they can't, you know, you can't edit that out. You can't, you know, you have to, I guess, react really quickly. um you know there's not like a time delay or anything like that. Um you just got to you know you just got to roll with it. So these are reasons these are the all the reasons I've listed as potential issues are you know the reasons that I do not live stream in um in uh the in the parks and you know I do live stream you know I will I have live stream at festivals before so there's some issue with that um you know I am taking a risk that you know I'm going to accidentally show something uh but it is also important and I can just say this you know maybe people don't like me saying this, but if you are going out into a public place, if you're going to the theme parks, you need to probably need to have a reduced um expectation of privacy because there is cameras everywhere. And I'm not just talking about vloggers cameras or or uh Instagram, you know, it's just everyone's taking pictures. So, it's very easy. You're going to end up on something that uh you didn't agree to.

[00:17:37]And a matter of fact, um, theme park policy generally is when you pay your ticket, you are waving your right to complain about being photographed or videoraphed. It's pretty standard with every theme park. If you have something that you need to visibly hide, you should not go to a theme park. I mean, for your own well-being because it is, you know, there's cameras everywhere, literally every square inch. You know, you walk through You walk through Disney World all day, you've probably ended up in a thousand different photographs that you had no idea you were even in. Now, this mural is new. And the first time I drove past this, I had like no idea who this was.

[00:18:21]This colonial looking guy. Um, but I figured it out. I I I think I figured it out. I don't know 100%, but uh it says 1776. I believe this is Mad Anthony Wayne, who the town of Wainesville is named after. is one of the founding fathers fought in uh the Revolutionary War.

[00:18:39]But let's get to the real question at hand here. Am I annoying? Are vloggers annoying? Um so just from the comments you know people leave comments um you know shaming me get complaining and I think a lot of a lot of lot of a lot of my concern is people making comments about talking on rides which I do absolutely um and I think I mean I think it's a fair question, but let me kind of just break it down. So, if we're talking about thrill rides such as roller coasters and things like that, screaming is is 100% acceptable. I think anyone who thinks that it's not okay to yell and be loud on a roller coaster has maybe never been on a roller coaster before because that is part it's part of it. Everyone screams. Everyone, you know, you walk by a roller coaster, there's just scream after scream after scream. So, roller coasters, anyone is free to scream, not anything. You can't scream swears and racial slurs, but you can scream and say we.

[00:19:58]Oh, let's make sure I'm not getting run over. Um, of course, that's not the only kind of ride there are. I'd also lump in um, you know, scary rides, haunted houses, dark rides, things like that that are scary. Obviously, they they invoke scar. They're trying to get you to scream. They're trying to get you to yell. And I'll tell you what, haunt actors, they love to get that scare.

[00:20:18]That's the sound that that's the sound they want to hear. So screaming on roller coasters, screaming on haunted houses, that's um completely completely um acceptable. Now, is it okay to scream on Small World? Is it okay to scream on um on uh Frozen Ever After? So screaming is probably not appropriate. screaming, yelling, being obnoxious, not appropriate. But it sounds like I'm making excuses here.

[00:20:49]Maybe I am. But, you know, when I'm like talking, narrating in I'm speaking directly. I've been putting my mouth on here and I'm speaking directly into the microphone of my camera. And I'm usually actually doing it in a lowered tone. And I think um my friend Philly Captain I remember he telling me, you know, when I was filming with him that he couldn't say he couldn't understand what I was saying for the most part when I was going in and filming stuff and showing stuff that I put my mouth by the camera.

[00:21:20]And I knew that, you know, to me it just makes sense. You do that, you're not as loud and disruptive. So generally on dark rides, you know, if it's something chaotic where it's okay to yell, maybe I'll yell. But if it's something that's that is quiet, that is, you know, where there's stuff to be heard, I do try to speak directly into the microphone. And I think because it's a microphone, because it amplifies, sometimes it may sound like I'm talking very loud on a ride, but that is an illusion to the illusion of science and technology of microphones. I am actually um sounds like I'm talking much louder than uh than I uh than I really am. So, I mean, I think I mean, I think there's a there's a spectrum to all this. I think it is possible to be annoying on a ride.

[00:22:10]I think it is possible to be disruptive on a ride. Um, and I think there's a big spectrum there. Um, and I don't think that that vloggers, that content creators, live streamers, I don't think they're the only ones that can be disruptive. Um, you hear a lot of talk where people are like, "Oh, I took my family I took my family to uh to Disney and the vloggers, they ruined everything." And again, I just I I don't really see it like that. I don't I think this is something that gets popular to say, and I just don't see it. I think all sorts of people at theme parks could be extremely annoying.

[00:23:06]So, here's the thing about theme parks.

[00:23:08]They are expensive. They are crowded.

[00:23:12]You have to wait in long lines. No one likes to do that. And so everyone's trying to have a really good time, but there is stressful things there, those things I just mentioned that are fighting against you having a good time.

[00:23:26]And um I see it, you know, I'm not saying that vloggers can't be annoying. Like obviously they can. And I can see, you know, like example I could see is, you know, you're trying to film, you know, you're you you're looking at this. You might block someone's way. You might block a pathway. Um, you might stop someone from from doing what they want to do. Um, you might, you know, slow things down. Um, you know, I think sometimes people get annoyed. I mean, the Q- lines. I'm trying to show detail.

[00:23:57]A lot of times I try to lean in so they go around the back of me, but you know, they might find that disruptive where they're trying to go through the Q- line and I'm taking my time. But I think there is, like I said, non vloggers that can be real, you know, lots of things can be annoying. You know, you have large groups. You know, they're all trying to have a fun time, but you know, they can congregate in areas. They can block the entrances to rides, block walkways. You know, we have really big groups. They really kind of can jam things up because no one's really paying attention.

[00:24:29]They're paying more attention to their groups, their friends, than what's happening around them. So, they can I don't know what. Okay. I don't think they were honking at me. Or maybe they were. So, they are trying to trying to uh have a good time, but you know, they're they're slowing other people down and they're causing things to happen. You know, I have some pet peeves myself. Like, for instance, like say there's like a photo op and someone is like for instance, say there's like something on a bench, like a clown on a bench that's meant, you know, to take a picture with the clown and someone like just sits on it like it's a bench. Like that's so annoying to me. like per obviously it's perfectly reasonable to use a bench to sit, but you know people that you that that block photo ops that don't have that awareness that other people want to take photos with stuff uh you know that can get on my nerves and um you know you have children children at Disney parks and I am certainly not complaining about children but a lot of times it's hard kids get really excited.

[00:25:35]They don't really listen to their parents cuz they're so overstimulated so they're running around. They're getting in other people's personal space.

[00:25:41]They're swinging on the bars and kicking people. Well, that's another one. When the kids get in the queues and they swing on the bars and they kick you.

[00:25:48]I've had it like I've had to like I've had to say please stop kicking me to kids before in a very the politest way possible. Um it's a lot of people trying to have a good time and a lot of people very excited, a lot of people dead set.

[00:26:06]You know, you have the big groups.

[00:26:07]They're a big group. They're just trying to have a good time, but they're blocking people's way. You have families spending tons of money to take their kids, and the kids are all unhinged because they're so excited to be there, as they should, their children. And but it's just, you know, we all got to have patience for each other. Everyone's enjoying it in a different way. And, you know, adults visiting, you know, the Disney parks were made for everybody. It wasn't made for kids. It wasn't made for just people with kids. It's made If you don't believe that the Disney parks are made for everybody, go to Epcot on a Friday night. Like, these parks are designed to appeal to everyone and they cater to everyone. And I think that's that's one thing that does like get under my skin a little bit when people act like these parks are for us. And it's like, well, people without kids, you know, shouldn't even be here. People that are here just to take pictures or make content, they shouldn't be here.

[00:27:14]It's I really hate that that that mindset of like this is only for me.

[00:27:20]This is only for the kind of person. No, I believe it is for everybody. It is for people that want to make content. It is for people obviously you have to follow the rules when you make content. And um but it is not for just for kids. It's not for just with people with kids. It is for everyone. And you know when you talk about people taking pictures, people taking video like that's not just professional content creators. I would say 75% I was I would say higher. I'd say 80 90% of the people that are filming, that are taking pictures, that are posting the pictures on social media, that are uploading their videos to YouTube, these are hobbyists, you know, like I was when I started making YouTube videos. A lot of people, they're not trying to make a living. They're just trying to make to get some fun video to document their trip to, you know, take some fun photos to throw up on their Instagram. It's a hobby, you know, Instagram, social media, YouTube, it can be a hobby. you know, maybe some people do want to try to to to vlog as a as a full-time job. Um, you know, I think those people just kind of happens organically and it and you got to start somewhere. And um, so yeah, you can't ban like people from filming or and I don't think Disney ever would want to. I think for a lot of people that's really part of the experience, getting a really good picture or making like a really fun video with your friends or your family.

[00:28:46]So again, just everybody, everyone needs to relax, myself included, and allow just everyone to uh to have a good time.

[00:28:55]And it can be stressful. It can be stressful by its very nature, but you know, we need to uh we need to be patient with one another.

[00:29:08]So, as far as, you know, the conversation, should Disney ban um vloggers, live streamers, I don't I don't see a reason for that. I do think like the specific types of live streaming that they're targeting, I think they may have a point with that. You know, obviously, I can see them not wanting the auctions.

[00:29:26]That's that's a whole like legal thing.

[00:29:30]Um, and of course they don't want nuisance streamers in the park, but you know, you have so many people taking video, so many people taking pictures.

[00:29:39]Um, it's hard to say. I mean, I can see I could see it getting to a point where, you know, the Disney may have it where a person that's insecurity may come up to you and say, "Listen, you've got 6,000 people on your live stream right now.

[00:29:57]Um, we're not okay with that." and you need to stop your live stream. Um, I do know that they already have like do have um rules about like equipment. You're not allowed to bring like external lights and rigging and stuff like that.

[00:30:13]And and most vloggers and live streamers use minimal equipment. I I I believe so.

[00:30:19]Yeah. And unfortunately, I hope it doesn't end up as being a case where a couple bad eggs, rotten apples, what have you, um end up ruining it for everybody. It does happen a lot in uh in theme parks. That's, you know, one of the reasons that some parks were strict about filming. It's because they've had something happen. They've had someone act irresponsible, someone not follow the rules, so they have to end up making even stricter rules. Um, Disney has always been, as far as is their audience, they seem to want to be as accommodating as they can without being a problem. The whole issue with selfie sticks. There was a whole call to ban selfie sticks years ago, and Disney was really slow to do it. They did not want to ban selfie sticks. There was rules like you had to show that your selfie stick was folded when you got on the ride, you know, and then it got to the point where people people just flying around with spears on the ride. They had fully extended selfie sticks on roller coasters. Clearly not safe. And Disney originally had eventually had to um had to had to say something like could it spiral? Could content creation spiral to a point where they just have to shut it down. I'm not saying it's impossible, but I don't really see it being this uh hellscape of influencers and streamers um like it like some people want to paint it as. Um obviously you have bad behavior in in theme parks. You know, you have line cutting, you have people disrespecting other people, people not following the rules, people not listening to cast members, people not listening to ride operators. To me, that's the biggest that's the biggest issue is just people that just aren't willing to follow the rules. And you know, that's that that's not exclusive to any group of people. you know, you cutting in line. Um, you know, yeah, believe it or not, like, you know, I am a proponent of following the rules when it comes to filming on rides because, um, filming on a roller coaster with your phone is not safe and it could seriously hurt somebody. So, you know, I've I've made a policy. You know, I was a little more when I was a little younger and grumpier, I was I was I probably got on this this grabbed this video camera, complained about it, but like I now I get it. Now I get it. And you know, it's just a lot of it is about safety. And a lot of times, you know, it's like, well, I have this camera that's safe. You know, it's strapped onto me. It's safe. And the right operator says no. And that's annoying.

[00:33:12]But I get it. Like I get it. like it's hard to train every single ride operator to be able to identify what is okay and what's not. Um, so a lot of times I think it's just easier for the parks to say like no filming on rides and uh and things like and things like that.

[00:33:41]Now, let's touch on the whole filming on rides aspect because it actually has been some restrictions and put in place by uh by Disneyland. Um, my understanding is there's two rides that I guess they have officially um, made more strict as far as what's allowed with filming. And Disney traditionally has been the most permissive parks when they allow you to film. They pretty much allow you to film everything. Um, what they've said is, I guess on the Incredic Coaster out on Disney California Adventure, they no longer uh allow handheld filming on that. And part of that is it's a roller coaster that goes upside down. So, they probably maybe should not have allowed handheld filming at uh at any point whatsoever on um on that ride. I I get it. You like I said, roller coasters, loose items and roller coasters, you don't want to get smashed in the face. But again, you can use something strapped. do something that is secure to your body and that's not an issue. Um although it was dis Disneyland Paris was a little more strict. You could pretty much film on everything except roller coasters and they don't from what I talked to the person the ride operator. They do not make exceptions for um like sports cameras and secured items.

[00:35:09]They just say no. So Disneyland still less restrictive because it's a they don't want unsecured filming on the Incredic Coaster. It's a fast ride. It spins upside down. It could rip a phone out of your hand and throw it into someone else's face. It makes sense. I get it. No complaints. Um the other one the other um ride that they put restrictions on is the uh that one this one surprised me a little more. It was Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway. I'm like, well, that's, you know, essentially a dark ride. It's a dark ride that uses projections. Um, but I guess I I looked a little more into it and there's a very specific reason that they don't want loose items because it is a trackless ride, meaning essentially it's a big Roomba. There's no track that hooks onto. It floats on a flat floor.

[00:36:00]So, if you drop something onto that floor, apparently that can cause major delays in the ride, I guess, to sync everything up. I guess if you drop something on a track, um, it'll probably one, it'll probably fall through the track or once a car comes, it'll knock it off the track. But apparently that causes all sorts of problems with trackless rides.

[00:36:22]Surely this has happened multiple times.

[00:36:24]I think I read that it could take up to 90 minutes to reync it up. So, yes, I get it. So, they don't want people holding their phones. They don't want people dropping their phones on the floor.

[00:36:37]I get it. I I'm pretty sure that this is, you know, not something they wanted to do, but it's for practical reasons.

[00:36:46]If people are constantly dropping phones and constantly dropping items out of the car onto the onto the ground, then they're going to have to uh they're going to have to do something. So, I get it. That bums me out. I love filming on that ride cuz everything's something's different. But, I may have to, you know, there's nature finds a way. probably just use my uh my GoPro from now on filming on uh that particular ride. I don't have a GoPro. I always say GoPro.

[00:37:15]It's the Osmo Action Cam that I film with. I feel like GoPro has just become the uh general term like Kleenex and thermos where it's a brand name that people just use for a uh for a specific for a specific uh item. So, you know, I don't like, you know, I don't like restrictions. I would like the freedom.

[00:37:38]I think the restrictions are necessary because people I get so nervous if someone pulls a phone out on a roller coaster. I get so nervous that that thing is going to smack me in the face. So, I think doing it the safe way, you know, I'm really happy that Six Flags has made it easier to film. and they now allow the glasses that I'm hoping to this summer to film quite a few of the Six Flags parks with the assistance of the glasses. Um, however, and we're getting a little deep into the theme park theme park scene here, but um, some of the Six Flags has been purchased by another company and are transitioning this year where they're owned by the new company but are still being operated by Six Flags. And um, apparently they're they they said no to the GL. They're saying no to the glasses or they have not. Well, they're saying no right now.

[00:38:30]May may they may have their own policies once they uh get off the ground, but I guess as of now um I saw some videos where they were saying that uh they were being they were telling people not to film with the glasses on uh on their roller coasters. This doesn't really have anything to do with uh what I'm talking about, but this Main Street here, Main Street, Wesville, North Carolina, was voted by uh USA Today, voted this the second best main street in the United States of America. So, I guess I'm lucky lucky to uh live in this town where I can enjoy the uh the best main street or the second best main street. Apparently, the best main street is um Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, which I've never been to their main street. I know Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, known for making steel, Bethlehem steel, but uh apparently they have a charming main street as well. I have to check it out next time I'm in Bethlehem.

[00:39:33]But I really want to know what you guys think about all this. Um, do you think that vloggers and or live streamers are annoying? If they do, do you think they do cause a problem? Personally, like I said, I think it's overblown. I think there's probably instances that you could site um specific incidences, but as a whole, I I'm not seeing it. So, if you feel different, leave a comment in uh the comment section. And do you think do you think it should be banned? Do you think live streaming should be banned?

But um and let me know what you think about videos like this where I'm just talking about um you know a specific issue or subject matter in the uh in the theme park news. I'm not going to get too much into the minutia of theme parks. I'm of the belief that if you dig too deep and you keep the more you like surround yourself with it, the less fun it becomes. So, I I do like to keep a little bit of distance, but I thought this was interesting because it does directly um involve me, my line of work, and you know, it may even involve uh you know, my ability to uh to film videos and to make content at uh at theme parks. And speaking of theme parks, I I hoping to do a lot of theme parks this summer. I've been uh been looking and you know those glasses, those Six Flags glasses, I bought my uh extreme super cool glasses. Um I want to get my money's worth out of them this uh this summer with visiting the different um different Six Flags parks. Let me know.
