Human Brain
Added:Hello students. I am Lalit sir. Today's topic is the human brain. Let's understand it in simple language with the help of 3D animation.
>> The human brain is the most important organ in our body.
It is also called the control center of our body.
>> Our brain controls everything we think, remember, speak, learn, or decide.
Not only that, our emotions, body movements, balance, and coordination are also under the control of the brain.
The brain and spinal cord form the central nervous system.
Let us learn how it works.
The brain is not a muscle. It is made up of billions of nerve cells, blood vessels, and supporting cells. Nerve cells are called neurons.
These are the cells that exchange messages throughout the body.
>> The brain functions with the help of electrical and chemical signals.
These signals travel very quickly throughout the body.
These signals help us experience [music] pain, feel sleepy, get hungry, and our body reacts instantly.
>> Gray matter understands and analyzes information, while white matter transmits that information to the brain and other parts of the body.
>> The brain has two main parts, gray matter and white matter.
Both have different functions.
Cerebrospinal fluid is found between these layers, which protects the brain from jolts and provides it with safety.
>> The brain is protected by three protective layers around it around it called meninges.
The human brain has three main parts, cerebrum, cerebellum, and brainstem.
Each part has its own special function.
First, let's talk about the cerebrum.
It is the largest part of the brain and makes up about 85% of the entire brain.
Now, let's talk about the cerebellum.
It is located below and behind the cerebrum and is smaller in size.
Now, we come to the brain stem.
This is the important part that connects the brain to the spinal cord.
>> The cerebrum also performs the task of understanding all the sensations we see, hear, touch, taste, and smell.
So, remember, the cerebrum thinks, the cerebellum maintains balance, and the brain stem controls essential automatic functions for life.
>> The cerebrum is divided into four main parts. These are called the frontal, parietal, temporal, and occipital lobes.
The frontal lobe is located at the front of the brain. It controls thinking, planning, and decision-making, as well as problem-solving and speaking.
>> When you solve a math problem, write an answer on an exam, or make a decision, your frontal lobe is activated.
>> If a hot object touches your hand, the parietal lobe is the first to sense it, and the brain responds immediately.
>> The temporal lobes, located on both sides of the head, control hearing, language comprehension, and memory.
>> When you hear your teacher's voice, recognize a song, or remember a friend's name, the temporal lobe is working.
>> Remember, the frontal lobe thinks, the parietal lobe feels, the temporal lobe hears and remembers, while the occipital lobe helps us see.
