We expect him to meet with the Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan tomorrow. More travel will be announced in hopefully tomorrow.

[00:01:37]What would be a humanitarian corridor uh, through the Strait of Hormuz in your point on in your opinion or as as a UN action?

[00:01:47]>> Well, I mean, as you know, the Secretary-General has tasked Jorge Moreira da Silva of UNOPS to work with the International Maritime Organization, UNCTAD, the International Chamber of Commerce, and of course all the relevant parties in the region to try to establish a a mechanism which would allow uh, for humanitarian goods, notably fertilizer, to come out of the of the Strait of Hormuz.

[00:02:14]Mr. Moreira da Silva, I think is on his way to New York today or tomorrow. He will have more discussions with various member states on this. And one more about the the demining effort in in the area, if it happens because it's now under discussion in the Security Council, as you may know.

[00:02:38]Uh, so what's the entity in the UN that should take care of any demining Well, I don't from Listen, I I It's not for me to comment on draft resolutions before I've seen. I don't think it calls on a UN entity to be involved in demining. We don't So, that's not my read of the resolution.

So, just both this is But if a senator from US Congress calls today the UN, the Secretary-General, and ask the questions, can you tell me if we are if United States is at war or not? I think a legislature from any member state uh, needs to come up with their needs to deal with their own government, and it's not for the Secretary-General to help them on their national debate.

[00:04:43]As you know, the United States has sent the Navy to uh, end Iran's grip on the Strait. Uh, is that something that the Secretary-General stand behind because it could achieve help us achieve freedom of navigation?

[00:05:01]Uh, there are parties uh, who are involved in this current conflict who can open up the Strait of Hormuz safely and freely, and everyone should do so.
