I Finally Felt Safe Enough To Open UpAjouté :
When I got to Reprieve, I struggled a lot with being open, being honest, especially being honest about how bad my alcoholism was. I kind of was very good at putting on a facade and kind of a mask to the world and my therapist here and the group facilitators did such an amazing job at getting me to open up. They really made me feel like I could be proud of who I was and the disease that I struggled from.
My therapist, the community, and just how they own what this community is and that it's not shameful to be an alcoholic. From who I was when I walked in the door was a completely different person when I walked out and I owe a lot of that to my therapist in specific and also the group facilitators.
