In international relations, diplomatic disputes often involve mutual accusations where each side presents its narrative to justify its position, as demonstrated when Cuba's foreign minister Bruno Rodriguez denied US claims about military threats while simultaneously appealing to Congress to prevent military action, illustrating how nations use diplomatic rhetoric to counter perceived threats and influence international opinion.

NATIONAL SECURITY THREAT?: Cuban leader pushes back at Marco Rubio claimAdded:
Back to the Nixon Presidential Library and Museum in Yor Belinda. Cuba's foreign minister is saying some very incendiary things using language to assail US Secretary of State Marco Rubio over American relations with the communist nation. He's also appealing to Congress at the same time to try to avoid war with Cuba. Senior foreign policy correspondent Jillian Turner reports tonight from New York. Good evening, Jillian.
>> Good evening, Brett. Cuba's foreign minister, Bruno Rodriguez, sat down with us today for his first ever interview with Fox News. It was one of the harshest attacks on the Trump administration by a senior Cuban official we have seen to date. In it, he accused Secretary Rubio of being a liar and a propheteer.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio told me, sir, on Thursday that the Cuban regime poses a direct national security threat to the United States of America. He mentioned uh an arsenal of military drones provided to the regime by the Russians, by the Chinese. He alluded to reporting in the United States last week that the Cuban government has even discussed internally potential plans to attack US military targets. Is any of that true?
>> We will have to ask the Secretary of State if he has any evidence. I have heard him lying on and on regarding this issue. Cuba is of course a sovereign state with a right to defend itself. But the US is an extraordinary military power. I can affirm you categorically that Cuba is not nor does it want to be a threat to the US. It is not nor does it want to be an enemy.
>> Mr. Minister, you say the Secretary of State is lying, sir. But do you deny specifically that the Cuban regime has a stockpile of Russian and Chinesemade military drones or plans to potentially uh launch proactive attacks on the US?
>> It is a sheer slander. I repeat, uh, the secretary of state is deliberately lying when affirming that Cuba is a threat to the US or that, uh, Cuba has military plans against the US. I regret the Secretary of State to instigate on and on military action and a change of regime action against our country. He is deliberately lying in order to deceive the US people, in order to justify a policy that has no moral or legal grounds. Secretary Rubio made a video last week where he spoke to the Cuban people directly and he said, "The reason the real reason for your suffering right now is because the Cuban regime has plundered all of your country's resources." is what's your response to that? People out in the streets wonder if the Secretary of State really knows what is going on in this world or if he is addressing the Cuban people with a profound cynicism with a big deal of shamelessness because the Secretary of State is one of the main masterminds behind the military threat against Cuba, the energy blockade. He was not born in Cuba. He does not know Cuba. He knows nothing about Cuba, whose parents left Cuba long before the Cuban Revolution, long before the triumph of the Cuban Revolution, but he has politically profiteered throughout his entire life, portraying himself as a figure of the Cuban exile. The foreign minister dismissed the DOJ's indictment last week of former Cuban President Raul Castro, saying it was a politically motivated move meant as more pretext for the president to launch military intervention potentially inside Cuba. He also appealed directly to Congress, asking them to intervene to prevent President Trump from taking any further military action inside Cuba.
