To find the height of a cone when given its volume and base area, use the formula: Volume = (1/3) × Base Area × Height. Rearranging gives Height = (3 × Volume) / Base Area. For example, with volume = 462 m³ and base area = 154 m², the height is (3 × 462) / 154 = 9 meters.

Daily ICSE Math MCQ Day[40] | QuantLogic ShortsAdded:
This is day 40 of the 365 days ICC math MCQ challenge. In this question, it is given that the volume of a conical tent is 462 m cubed and area of the base is 154 m squared. We need to find the height of the cone.
So, a cone looks somewhat like this, right?
Now, the total volume, what's the formula? That is 1 by 3 pi r squared h, where h is the height and we need to find that out. Now, the area of the base, see, the base is basically a circle. So, area of base will be pi r squared. Now, just put in the values. So, 1 by 3 pi r squared h is 462 and pi r squared is 154. Now, you see, pi r squared, we can directly plug it over here.
So, 1 by 3 into 154 gives us into h, that's the height, gives us 462. So, therefore, h will be 462 into 3 by 154, right? Now, if we just calculate, 154 into 3, that gives us 462.
And 3 into 3 is 9. So, that is the answer. H is 9 m.
So, option C is our choice.
For the quiz time, try and solve this question where the radius of a roller is given and you need to find the curved surface area of the roller.
Also, take pi as 22 by 7. Solve this answer and comment your solutions. I'll pin the right option.
