This video features Brad Lander, a Democratic Congressman, answering yes/no questions about progressive political positions including DC statehood, Supreme Court expansion, investigating political figures, opposing corporate PAC money and crypto/AI money, ending military aid to Israel, and supporting Citizens United reform. Lander emphasizes that the Democratic Party should set rules rather than influence primaries, and that Congress should prohibit members from trading stocks. He highlights his New York City Council achievement of passing the strongest independent expenditure disclosure act in the country, arguing that comprehensive donor disclosure can be achieved through legislation at any level of government.

Yes or No With Brad Lander本站添加:
This is all yes no, uh Brad. All yes no questions. Uh DC statehood, yes or no?
>> Absolutely, yes.
>> Ex- Expand the Supreme Court, yes or no?
>> Yes. I had some great conversations with Elie Mystal about that. I'm entirely on board.
>> Uh subpoena investigate Elon Musk.
>> Yes.
>> Yes or no?
>> Yes. Yes.
>> prosecute Trump officials who have kidnapped our neighbors.
>> [music] >> Yes.
>> Prosecute Trump family members making shady business deals and taking bribes.
>> That's most of them, but yes.
>> Uh should any Democrat take crypto money?
>> No.
>> Uh how about AI money?
>> No.
>> AIPAC money?
>> No.
>> Corporate PAC money of any kind?
>> No corporate PAC money of any kind.
>> Should the DCCC, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, stop weighing in on competitive primaries?
>> Yes. The point of having a party is to set the rules, not to put a thumb on the scale.
>> Uh should members of Congress be prohibited from trading stocks?
>> They should.
>> Should we end military aid to Israel?
>> Yes.
>> Should we end Citizens United?
>> Yes. That'll take expanding the Supreme Court first, so I'm glad you asked the questions in that order.
>> Uh would you join >> more thing here.
Uh I will say I passed in the New York in the New York City Council the strongest independent expenditure [music] disclosure act in the country. We should uh ban, you know, overturn Citizens [music] United and ban independent expenditures more broadly, but it doesn't take that to require disclosure on every single donor to every IE. We do it in New York City. It could be done by a law in Congress tomorrow.
>> Well, that's more than a yes, but I'll take it, Brad.
I And would you last question, would you join the Progressive Caucus?
>> Yes, I would.
>> Uh politics is a team sport, Brad. We'd love to have you on the team.
>> [music]
