Not every asylum office approves cases at the same rate — and where your case is filed can matter

[00:00:00]Which asylum offices have the highest approval rates these days? I don't know because USCIS has not published statistics about this in several years.

[00:00:08]Last time they were published several years ago, San Francisco had the highest approval rate. And historically for several years before that, it was usually San Francisco, it was usually the top one, the highest approval rate.

[00:00:18]And the other highest ones are usually or usually like Los Angeles. And then below after that was like kind of in like a new another sort of tier, a little bit lower but still pretty high comparatively, it was like Chicago and Arlington. But New York, man, New York is low. In fact, New York was the lowest last time they they released the statistics a couple years ago, a few years ago. New York is tough.

[00:00:39]Immigration court in New York has a high approval rate. The asylum office in New York has a very low approval rate. I think it's probably still more or less the same in the sense that, you know, San Francisco, Los Angeles probably have among the higher approval rates if not the highest approval rates. New York probably still has among the lowest approval rates if not the lowest approval rate.
