[00:00:03]Conopholis americana, also called cancer root or even bear corn.

[00:00:11]Usually grows probably in maximum of 4 in, but as it grows in early spring, it sort of resembles a pine cone or a corn corn on the cob.

[00:00:24]Now, as you see, there's lots of oak trees around here and they typically uh feed their parasite feed off the roots of oak trees especially.

[00:00:36]So, as they grow and you can see there's a patch up here, um they'll turn brown and begin to die off and they can often last through the winter like those have right here.

[00:00:57]So, it is a parasitic plant.
