The Riemann Hypothesis, proposed by Bernhard Riemann in 1859, states that all non-trivial zeros of the Riemann zeta function lie on the critical line where the real part equals one-half. Despite computational verification of over 10 trillion zeros all lying on this line, mathematicians have not been able to prove why this must always be true. This hypothesis is fundamental to understanding the distribution of prime numbers, and if proven false, it would invalidate all mathematical results built upon it. The hypothesis remains one of the seven Millennium Prize Problems, with a $1 million prize unclaimed for over 160 years.

Ten Trillion Data Points. Still No Proof.Ajouté :
10 trillion zeros, all on the same line, every single one, but nobody can prove why. The Riemann hypothesis, >> [music] >> unsolved since 1859, describes exactly how prime numbers are distributed across infinity. If it's wrong, that distribution is wrong. Every result built on it is wrong. 10 trillion confirmations, zero proof.
