This video masterfully reframes botanical survival as a form of sophisticated biological intelligence, bridging the gap between evolutionary strategy and regenerative practice. It serves as a vital reminder that true ecological resilience lies in decoding nature’s inherent logic rather than merely engineering its outcomes.

Learning about the Intelligence of Seeds to Survive Harsh Mediterranean LandscapesAdded:
Welcome to the Svirte del Molino farm.
Andalusia, Spain.
Let's look what is happening with our seeds.
This is our seed planting setup.
I feel far from confident to say I know what I'm doing.
Um but I'm happy.
My only failure in life is not to try.
And that one I don't suffer of.
I just recognize this one.
This is the pine tree.
With the papaya, honey locust, jacaranda.
Here we have the hackberry.
And then the catalpa.
Some vachellia karroo.
Tipuana tipu.
More vachellia karroo.
And then might be a guava.
And then lots of nothing.
And this is farmers plants.
Tomato and squash and things I don't know.
And here we have things we got seeds from Southern California.
And this is the wisteria.
And lots of nothing.
Sandbox.
A lot of things hanging in there.
The asparagus growing wild. Yeah.
Salix, the willow.
And this is the quince. And then as always the Paulownia doing well.
And here I have a lot of gooseberries.
And this is the Grevillea.
And the Chinese plum.
And then the first time a lot of thingy is coming up.
I wondered what happened.
Here in the root air pruning sandbox.
Vachellia karroo as always.
And then some some some some love tree.
And then the honey locust.
And then I don't know.
Here is a lot of oaks and chestnuts from the rest of Europe that was sent to me.
And my own creation of peach pips into plants.
One sneaked up the other day. Snugged up the other day.
This is the second stage out of the wind dappled shade.
Trying to grow things.
And these are all goji berries. I pruned it. I didn't know it was part of the tomato uh potato nightshade family. So you have to guide it.
And that was just all over the floor, the earth.
So I pruned it and I put some of them in here.
And then we have lots of individuals.
Again, honey locust doing well.
This is the aloe.
And this is the dog. Hello doggy.
So uh this is what the goji berry happens to it after a few days in the pot.
The last 2 weeks we have lots of clouds overcast regularly but no rain.
Some uh splashes of light like now but it's not good enough to charge the batteries of the uh fed from the solar panels.
Anyway, I made this just to sit down on my marble table.
And uh appreciate the view.
Here at the far end of the dog run.
Uh it was just dust.
So I put up this fence >> [snorts] >> just to see what happens when there is no dog traffic.
And also wanted to see if an acorn will sprout.
But uh lots of the normal stuff.
But no acorn.
This is the uh middle creek distribution pond.
It's almost full.
I'm not extracting any water from the uh qanat system.
And I made this.
And therefore a lot of water down here.
And this one is rising as well.
I have inoculated the other pond several times with all these um aquatic plants.
But uh nothing comes from it.
Oleanders producing its flowers.
Till next time.
