Daybreak Weather Forecast (5/29/26)本站添加:
Temperatures you see right here, right now, are going to look like the highs coming up this weekend. We're in the 50s and 60s across the area. Some 40s down into southwestern Montana. Nothing to really track on the radar right now, aside from a few thunderstorms moving into the north of Canada right now. Just a light rain shower up near the St. Mary area, Babb, and then eventually moving up into the Canadian prairies. We do have a severe weather threat today.
Level one out of five risk Helena area, Great Falls, Cut Bank, Havre. We'll start to see some storms pop around 1:00 lasting all the way through the nighttime hours. The main threat today is going to be wind, but we could see some small hail with some of these storms as they make their way through. A little bit of wind shear and instability in the atmosphere today. This is at 1:00 we'll start to see some showers and storms pop. I think they'll get really rocking and rolling here as we head into the mid to late afternoon hours. Great Falls, Missoula, Helena, up towards Cut Bank and Havre later on in the evening.
That's going to produce a lot of lightning. Also, some strong straight-line winds possible with that, that little bow feature you saw. Now, coming up tomorrow, we'll have a round of showers and thunderstorms in the morning. Butte, Helena, Great Falls, and then becoming a little more widespread as we head into the afternoon and evening. Center of low pressure is going to move into the state. We're looking at widespread heavy rainfall for the weekend. Look at this moisture transport all the way up from the coast of Mexico, the west coast of Mexico, going all the way through the United and right into Montana beginning today. And that's thanks to the cut-off low that we have.
So, excessive rainfall outlook we had up near Kalispell, Missoula today.
Tomorrow, almost the whole state under a marginal risk for excessive rainfall. We could be looking at areas of minor flooding here as we head through the weekend, especially Sunday into Monday as those the rain collects into the rivers and streams. And it's going to be a whole lot of rain, especially up on the Rocky Mountain front, Cut Bank, maybe Great Falls, Helena could be looking at an inch or two of precipitation through the next 72 hours.
Even some snow up on the Continental Divide, a few inches of snow on the higher peaks there. So, the wind not an issue right now for a lot of the state, but again, Eastern Montana going to be dealing with the gusty conditions later on this afternoon.
Overall, an east wind of 5 to 15 miles an hour in Helena, Great Falls today, but again, a few of those thunderstorms could be producing some gusty wind as they make their way through. Tomorrow, a little bit more wind across our area, about 10 to 20 miles an hour out of the northwest, but Sunday, as that center of low pushes through the state, you see this counterclockwise rotation into northeast Montana, that will create some gusty conditions in the plains and in Helena, uh especially in the morning in Helena and Great Falls, the afternoon more so in central Montana. So, highs today we're reaching the 80s yet again.
We actually hit 90 in Helena yesterday.
86 is what I'm forecasting today. We're in the 80s in Great Falls yesterday, as well. Most of the states will be in the 80s and even some 90s again in northeast Montana. This is day number five of heat advisories for the Glasgow area and much of northeast Montana. That goes until 6:00 tonight, and then we'll start to see some heat relief as we head into the weekend. So, here's a look at the next 7 days. Look at those highs. We're in the 50s. We're We hit the 80s and 90s today, and we're dropping into the 50s tomorrow and Sunday with widespread rain, even lasting into Monday morning for some areas, and we will have more showers and thunderstorms lasting through a majority of next week with temperatures slowly warming.
