The criticism 'you're too sensitive' is logically inconsistent because no one would ever ask someone to 'be more insensitive'; this phrase is typically used when someone has been upset about something another person said or did, and the accuser deflects responsibility by blaming the victim's emotional response rather than addressing their own insensitive behavior.

Could you please be more insensitive? #ShortsAñadido:
I've always thought one of the weirdest criticisms you could get was, "You're too sensitive."
It always struck me as odd.
Anytime I ever hear somebody say that to someone or to me, because you would never phrase it to somebody by saying, "Hey, could you please be more insensitive?"
But, it seems like when someone says you're too sensitive, that's kind of what they're saying is, "Can you please be more insensitive?"
Um you know, the charge of being too sensitive usually happens when somebody's um you know, somebody's gotten upset about something, right? One person said something to someone else and it bothered them.
And when they either indicated that it bothered them or complained about it or acted like it bothered them, they throw back in their faces, "You're too sensitive."
It's really weird because you would think we're supposed to be sensitive. We should be sensitive to each other. We should be sensitive
