Petitioners push for government change on November ballot in Fort Smith

[00:00:00]We've got almost 3,000 signatures and I'd say that that's a good representation of of what the people are wanting and they have no reason to not let us have a voice and make the decision as a community. It just gives us a nice dedicated deadline for us to hit. I mean I have full confidence that we're going to get the signatures and get them a little early. I'm fully in touch with the community and the culture and I and I understand what we want and what we need. While they say that we don't know what the community wants, I do. I've seen it. I've seen my friends leave.

[00:00:31]I've seen businesses leave out of frustration. We want a system where the mayor is accountable. We have a city council that makes the laws and a mayor that enforces it. That's how our state government works. That's how our federal government works.
