Steve Schmidt argues that Donald Trump's economic policies have failed the average American, citing high inflation, rising cost of living, and economic collapse as evidence, while contrasting these claims with supporters' assertions of a 'paradise' under Trump's leadership.

The True Cost of Trump | Steve Schmidt追加:
Donald Trump's coalition and his poll numbers have collapsed. They stand at 30%. The American people have watched.
They've listened. And more importantly, they've seen they've seen the obscenity of a year and a half. And in November, they're going to wipe this out.
>> This is the warning.
I do wake up on some mornings and wonder what is it that Republicans, MAGA Republicans all across the country are going to run on? What will they say to the people they have so profoundly betrayed? And now we know appearing on Hannity Reich Furer Steven Miller has made it clear Trump is running on the paradise he built. That's right, paradise. When you watch this, listen to the words, but focus on the fanaticism, the extremism, and ask yourself a question. Do you think Steven Miller would have any qualm whatsoever about killing a political opponent or 10,000 of them, about lining them up against the wall? This man is vicious. He's evil. Deeply disturbed. Here he is in high school. He has always been sick.
Let's watch that first before we watch his pitch about the paradise we're living in.
>> Am I the only one who is sick >> and tired of being told to pick up my trash? We have plenty of dinners.
A second point, Sean, is the American people understand the hell that we inherited and the extraordinary paradise that President Trump is building. From record inflation that we had under President Biden to the cost of living going down faster than has ever gone down before. From unaffordable energy to the great American energy boom. From violence, bloodshed, and chaos in our streets, as I mentioned, to record public safety. From a wide open southern border, the mass invasion of our country to the most secure border in American history. From woke policies that push transgender insanity and critical race theory and racism and prejudice in our schools to a world of sanity, a world of stability, and a world of meritocracy.
On every issue, President Trump has pushed policies that are the heart and soul of the American belief system. The American people appreciate that Donald Trump started a war, blinked, and lost the war. He's threatened 13 different nations with attack. And that doesn't count the trade war he started against every nation in the world, including Canada, wiping out, amongst other things, America's bourbon industry. But that's a story for another day. The economy, it's collapsing. College students can't get jobs. Trump's corrupt family is beyond the beyond the beyond.
Kus Trump, also known as Donald Trump Jr., whose wedding his father couldn't be bothered to attend, started a drone company and got a Pentagon contract with direct White House interference for $650 million. The country, our country, America, has become a banana republic.
It is shocking. It is appalling, but it is very real. Let's watch the smug secretary of the Treasury try and defend the placement of Trump's vis like Saddam Hussein's on the national currency.
Donald Trump again thinks the 250th anniversary of American independence is a celebration of him.
>> Do you think it's a good idea though when people are struggling to afford gas and groceries?
>> Look, I think it has I I think that it's bifurcated that Do you think we should have a 250th anniversary celebration?
>> Well, that's happening anyway, but the President Bill but Kaitlin, it's not happening anyway. It's happening because it's being funded the by private citizens, by the federal government, by state governments, by municipal governments to celebrate our country. And I I don't think that the there's anything unourred about having the president of the United States that the person who was president of the United States on the 250th anniversary bill.
>> And so now we'll have a Trump bill and Trump on the passports and Trump, look what he did to the White House. How does it make you feel as a citizen of the greatest republic in the world? Or it was. But the greatest republic in the world doesn't look like that, does it?
It is a poster of collapse, of decay, of rot beyond simple measurement. The question at hand for the United States is what are we going to do? What are we going to do about this and about the lying? Here's Scott Bessant telling the American people they feel great about the economy.
>> There's new government data that shows that Americans are now saving a smaller share of their incomes than at any time over the past four years. Are you seeing signs that American households are dipping into their savings to pay for the higher costs of things like gas and groceries? And does data like that concern you right now?
>> Well, so a lower lower academic literature would tell you lower savings rate can mean one of two things. uh the the kind of the the doomer view that you took or that people have more confidence or it it could be you know something else because you know for instance uh stock market gains or 401k gains might not show up in savings so they're looking at that think that they can draw down their household savings Donald Trump has stacked his cabinet from floor to ceiling without a touch predatory and rapacious billionaires like Howard Lutnik and Scott Besson. And it's a disaster for the United States. It's a disaster for ordinary Americans, for working people who haven't gotten to taste the paradise on the Mara Lago lawn or on predator patio on what used to be the south lawn of the White House. What Donald Trump has done is assault the rule of law like his best friend Jeffrey Epstein assaulted all those young girls.
What Donald Trump has done is unforgivable. He has lifted up our adversaries. He has lost the war. He has gotten American soldiers killed. He has broken the military. He has broken our scientific institutions. And he destroyed the Republican party. And even if you're the most partisan Democrat, losing the party of Abraham Lincoln and Dwight Eisenhower in a country that has been sustained by a two-party system is a terrible tragedy. as it would be the case if what happened to them were ever to befall the Democratic party. If it was ever to succumb to what Republicans succumb to, a fascist, a criminal, a liar, a bully filled with malice who betrays them as he did John Cornin at each and every opportunity. And yet they remain on their knees inflicting harm.
Well, Trump's minions tell you it's paradise. What's happening in this country isn't paradise. The secret police isn't a paradise. Our liberty falling apart is not paradise. It's a tragedy. A tragedy that must be opposed.
And Americans in this year, the anniversary of our defiance 250 years ago, must stand up and vote these people out. This is the morning.
