[00:00:04]We have a bit of a slower episode of From This Week, but one still packed with lots of juicy new details and theories on where the show is headed.

[00:00:12]We'll be looking into what Sophia has planned with Henry, the plan to save the town, and what Donna's heart attack could reveal about death in Fromville.

[00:00:27]>> Let's go get weird. The episode picks up right where we left off in 405. Jade awakes from his mushroom trip, stating he knows how to get them home. It just involves digging up some ancient bones.

[00:00:39]Last episode, a Jade found a mysterious door in the basement of Colony House connecting to the underground tunnel system. These are the same tunnels the monsters live in, which lead to the sacrificial chamber. This is the place the Ankui kids were murdered in order to give their parents immortality. Jade's vision gave us a new piece of information. This open grave in the center of the pit containing the bones of the deceased. We never saw this before because it had been sealed and covered in dirt. Jade believes these bones anchor the spirits of the children and that the monsters might be protecting them in order to keep this place together. If they can get those bones, maybe it will give them a clue on how to escape. But for Boyd, this is an absolute no. The town has already lost too many people, and he can't afford to lose anymore based on one dude's mushroom trip. So much of Boyd's journey this episode is him grappling with what to do next. Jade even calls him out, stating more people will die under his watch if he does nothing. Something Boyd takes personally, considering he had to kill his own wife under his watch. This was our first glimpse at a town's person turning on Jade. Last episode, we learn from young Jade that all his past versions suffered the same fate, being murdered by the town. The town basically gets to a point where they believe Jade and Tabitha to be the cause of their problems, and both of them are murdered.

[00:02:02]So, I think whatever journey Jade is leading them on, even if well intended, will somehow backfire and make things worse for the town, leading them to turn on him. But first, Jade has to prove to Boyd that his visions weren't a bunch of gobbledegook. And he can do this by proving to him there's a hidden door in the basement of colony house. A cost is down here. And you got to love how upfront she is.

[00:02:24]>> Boy just trying to keep me busy because he knows that I want to kill myself.

[00:02:27]>> She's been tasked by boy to organize all these unwanted items, hoping they might offer a clue. One theory is that Aosta has taken on the role of the lonely dragon found in Flight of the Chrome. In the story, the dragon lives in a cavern filled with unwanted treasure and ends up finding a map to give to the krominle so she cannot be lost anymore. This suggests Aosta will find something in the basement that will help the krominle character. But who is the chromeman? In my opinion, the two strongest contenders are Julie and Ethan. Ethan's favorite book is the krominle. He's been tasked with finding the lake of tears, a location in that book, and he often draws parallels between Fromville and the Cromman's adventure. Julie is another possibility. Both she and the Croman are female. Julie acted out a scene from the book in the very first episode, and her ability to storywalk might be the key to getting home. In fact, there's a bootstrap paradox theory that suggests Julie somehow makes it out of town and writes the flight of the krominle so it can be used as a guide for others to make it out of town. In episode 404, Julie suggests that storywalking existed in this place first and all the crazy [ __ ] that has happened here has been seeping out into the real world. She theorizes that the author of Flight of the Chrome might have had a dream about a girl like Julie and wrote it down, just like Tabitha had dreams about her younger self hundreds of years ago. Who's to say someone in the real world isn't having dreams about Julie and instead of painting them like Miranda did, wrote them in books?

[00:03:59]Unfortunately for Jade, there is no mystery door in the colony house basement. At least not yet. Boyd vinces frustrations to Kenny because deep down he knows Jade might be right. Boyd himself has experienced strange and unexplainable things that turned out to be real, like the talisman or the worms under his skin. He also reminisces about how they used to count the days without an incident, a sign of which can be found outside the sheriff's office in episode 1. I think this is all setting up the bad things started to happen ever since Jade and Tabitha arrived narrative, something Sophia started in episode 403. Kenny also shows Boyd Victor's picture of the man in yellow eating Miranda. Kenny saw the man in yellow suit in the sheriff's office and figured they should check this out just to be safe. This is where we find Victor on the roof. He's not here to hurt himself, rather is reminded of a man who jumped off this roof after he tried to fix things but made it worse. If we are in a story that repeats itself over and over again is this foreshadowing that one of our characters will do the same.

[00:05:02]From what I recall, there hasn't been a character who has jumped off a building unless you count Tabitha falling from the lighthouse. There are however a number of characters who have tried to fix things but made them worse. Sarah, Jade, Jim, Abby, and Boyd are just a few that come to mind with Jade being my frontr runner. But if this were true, would it contradict him being murdered by the town? Not necessarily. Victor was a child when all this happened and he might not have all the facts. For example, could this person have been pushed off the roof? Victor also mentions they survived the fall but died a few days later. Could someone in town have murdered them while in the hospital? There's a lot to play with here, and I want to know what you think in the comments. Now, is it just me, or has the drug use really amped up in the show? I'm not approved or anything, but I've noticed a whole lot more of the background actors doing bong hits, smoking weed, and way more alcohol consumption. It seems a lot more than in past seasons, and was wondering if anyone else thought that was a bit weird. A bit of an unexpected duo of Sarah and Julie. Julie's come to apologize to Sarah now having a better understanding of how the town can mess with your mind. Remember that Sarah once tried to kill Julie's brother. They bond over painting Sophia's room. And I'm sure she's going to love that purple color. Purple often symbolizes mystery, magic, and spirituality. After her storywalking failure, Julie has come to terms with the fact she may never be able to use it to save her dad. Last episode, Randall said he wouldn't help her do it again because the next time she has a seizure could be her last.

[00:06:34]Every time she does it, she risks frying her brain permanently, but we know she eventually tries again. We saw this at the end of season 3 when a future version of Julie, one with the same haircut she's rocking now, travels back in time to save her dad. So, something changes that will allow Julie to properly use the bookmarks. If Aosta is that lonely dragon from the krominle and Julie is the kromancle, she may just end up uncovering something to help Julie on her journey. And if I had to put my money on it, I think it's Julie storywalking that's messing with Boyd's rings. The only real new piece of information we get from Victor about the man in yellow is that he came to town in a big brown car. We'll see him drawing what appears to be this car, which looks more like a tow truck. I wonder if this vehicle will contain a clue linking the man in yellow to Sophia. Speaking of Sophia, her mission in this episode is to get closer with Henry, the man whose wife she killed when she was the man in yellow. Sophia has the perfect inn to drink with Henry as she grieves the loss of her quote unquote father. She brings up the irony of a gas station being in a town where no one can leave. There's a shout out to Tom the bartender who died underneath the Matthews house in season 2. And Henry asks one of the biggest questions this show has yet to answer.

[00:07:48]>> How old are you?

[00:07:49]>> Sophia's goal here is to get Henry absolutely obliterated and learns about Victor having survived the massacre 40 years ago. This means Sophia left a loose end during the massacre 40 some odd years ago, which puts a huge target on Victor's back as he's the only one who can potentially link the man in yellow to Sophia. But the weirdest thing has to be Sophia pouring her blood into Henry's drink. We still don't know the extent of Sophia's powers. We know her touch can cause seizures like with the priest, visions like with Marielle, and she can telepathically communicate with Sarah. What does the blood drinking do?

[00:08:25]Perhaps it's another method she can use to control Henry. Or maybe Sophia needs her blood ingested by someone in order to shapeshift into them. Shapeshifting into Henry would be the perfect way to get close to Victor and kill him. Sophia also lays the seeds in Henry of what if all this isn't real, that it's all a dream. It makes me think of the time Abby shot up the town, believing that only through death could you be awakened. Donna, Tabitha, Ethan, Ellis, and Patty have arrived back from the settlement after they were attacked by these three nightmarish dolls. They never addressed how they survived the night out in the open. We can assume the totems kept the dolls at bay, but what about the other monsters? In my last video, I discussed how we've never seen one of the town's monsters in the settlement area. It's possible they don't stray out that far, or that they don't go near that area because the dolls could attack them. They brought with them the dead body of Roger, who was savagely ripped apart. Thankfully, those dolls had the decency to sew them back up. We don't know why the dolls do this or if they're a threat to the town.

[00:09:26]However, the gang has brought back a few totems just in case. Whatever it is about these totems, it seems they can ward off and kill these new threats.

[00:09:35]It's also insanely creepy that the dolls sewed up his eyes and mouth just like one of them. I hope they bury him soon because I got zombie vibes. Now, I'm pretty sure Victor has drawn these doll-like monsters before, which means he must have seen them. It even looks like there's one on his desk. Victor's always told us he likes to draw because it helps him remember. So, I found it a bit odd when Ethan tells him about the doll monsters coming out of the lake, he doesn't react at all. But then again, we know Victor has selective memory. Would Victor have seen these dolls in the last cycle, or have they been down there for even longer? Unfortunately, Tabitha doesn't provide any new information on the doll's origins. She reiterates the same story of a man who had nightmares throwing her dolls in the lake, believing they caused him nightmares.

[00:10:18]Some bird imagery on these shot glasses, which has to be intentional considering all the bird metaphors we've had this season. In my last video, I discussed how the K paintings depict two different types of birds, as well as their relation to Sophia and the man in yellow. Kenny brings up Sarah's theory that when we die, our fears become part of the forest. For example, her brother Nathan was afraid of cicas, and it was only after he died that they started to appear in town. This makes Donna lose it. As one of the town's major protectors, she doesn't know how she'll be able to explain that on top of all the other crap they have to deal with.

[00:10:53]Now we have our fears coming to life.

[00:10:55]Donna has a heart attack, resulting in Kenny rushing to get Christy and the defibrillator. This is the same defibrillator Randall almost gave himself shock therapy with due to the sound of the cicatas. It's also the same defibrillator that's been a topic of much theorizing due to the name found on it, Maboose. Check out this clip from my season 3 video, which goes into more detail. Notice the name of the medical supply company this machine is from, Maboose. In my search, I couldn't find any company in the real world called Maboose that makes this type of equipment, which leads me to believe it was created just for the show. It could be as simple as an acronym like Medical Ambulance Bus, United States Emergency, or could have a far more nefarious meaning. Dr. Maboose was a fictional character in a series of novels. And wait till you hear his description. Dr. Maboose is a master of disguise and telepathic hypnosis, known to employ body transference, most often through demonic possession, but sometimes utilizing object technologies such as television or phongraph machines to build a society of crime. Maboose rarely commits his crimes in person, instead operating primarily through a network of agents enacting his schemes, thus remaining a shadowy figure. The equipment like the sonogram was absolutely manipulated, not to mention other electronics like telephones, radio, and jukeboxes. His description goes on to say, "Dr. may be defeated and sent to an asylum, jail, or the grave, only for a new Dr. to later appear."

[00:12:24]Now, is this all a coincidence that a device named after a mysterious entity doesn't work on Donna? We don't know, but it's what happens after that is more astonishing. Christiey's basically like, "She's gone." But Boyd doesn't give up.

[00:12:37]He keeps performing compressions on Donna until she comes too. Now, there's a lot to unpack here. First, was Donna's heart attack the result of some nefarious entity, or was it natural? I tend to lean toward it being natural since it coincided with her getting riled up. But just last episode, she was attacked by one of those weird dolls whose powers we don't quite understand.

[00:12:58]Plus, she had just taken a swig of alcohol here. I was curious if Sophia had anything to do with this moonshine, but we also see Tabitha take a sip here, so I don't think we're dealing with tainted booze. Then there's the question of her resuscitation. Was this a freak miracle? Or did Boyd will it into existence? If the town has the ability to create all these malevolent supernatural things, could it also do the opposite? Could it bring life, beauty, and hope? And what about Fatima's golem? Something she said was a symbol of protection. Could that have done anything to help Donna? After all, Fatima says the golem is a magical thing in a world of darkness. Boyd will grab some wires from the shed conveniently underneath Roger's dead body and use them to divert electricity to this vital machine. Remember, we still don't really know where this electricity comes from.

[00:13:46]Donna will awaken, but we don't hear her speak. After being clinically dead for at least 10 minutes, I wonder if her death will provide any insight into what happens after someone from Frville dies.

[00:13:58]Imagine Donna wakes up and is like, "Abby was right. It's all a nightmare and I woke back up in the real world.

[00:14:03]Why did you bring me back, you bastards?" We also don't know what kind of mental state she'll be in considering the amount of time her brain has been deprived of oxygen. Also, shout out to Ethan with his nice little message to her when he thought she was dying. I got to say, I was not expecting the Randall backed up storyline this episode. This didn't really advance the story at all, which made me think this is some sort of setup. They needed to get Randall in Colony House somehow and this was their way to do it. We also see him linking up with Elgen and I'm thinking all they need is Patty and they can have their own facial disfigurement support group.

[00:14:35]Randall and Elgen are also the two characters outside of Julie's family that have had the most one-on-one time with her. So, I wonder if that will go anywhere. The Fatima Golem storyline doesn't develop too much this episode with Ellis wanting to get a better understanding of why Fatima built this thing in the first place. It all goes back to stories her father used to tell her about how the belief in magical things can take away from the darkness of the world. She makes specific mention of the Golem of Prague, a giant man sculpted of clay in 16th century Prague to protect the Jewish ghetto from anti-Semitic attacks. The story goes it got too powerful and had to be deactivated where it now lays locked away in an attic of a synagogue just like the golem is in this attic. Boyd is visited by the ghost of Father Katri.

[00:15:20]The last time we saw him was the season finale of season 3. He reminisces about the first day Boyd and his family arrived in town. A scene depicted in season 1 where Katri jumps in front of their car and takes them to the bunker to hide from the monsters. Remember that this was before Boyd found the talisman, so the town's folk had to resort to hiding at night. Donna asks him if he snores because any sound could alert the monsters to their location. It was that moment Boyd knew she was a survivor.

[00:15:47]Father Catri says a few interesting things. First, that it might be true people's nightmares become part of the forest. This could mean the spiderweb forest could be someone's nightmare from the past. Second, he does not know if the bones of the children are down in those tunnels. I personally think they are, and they might have to be taken to the Lake of Tears in order to be restored. As Ethan has stated, the Lake of Tears is a magical place where things can be brought back to life. And third, Kotri says they are running out of time.

[00:16:16]And this is the same thing the boy in white said to Henry and Tabitha. Boyd also brings up something Martin, the man chained up to the dungeon wall, said in season 2, that the town monsters are just the tip of the spear when it comes to the evil of this place. Father Cotry tells Boyd that he'll just have to take a leap of faith and believe in Jade. So Boyd grabs a sledgehammer and bashes the wall in the colony house basement to reveal that Jade was right. There is a door. Now all they need is a plan.

[00:16:44]Heading into the tunnels, even during the day when the monsters rest, can be dangerous. Last season, we saw the swing coat creature in her human form there, even though it was daylight. So, the town is going to need some sort of plan to lure the monsters out of the tunnels to give them enough time to dig up those bones. Other than the town's people going at night and having the monsters chase them, the only other thing I could suggest involves Fatima. Fatima said her and Smiley still share a connection. She can feel what he is feeling and vice versa. Perhaps Fatima is the key to lure out Smiley and the others. The other wild card are the dolls if they can somehow be weaponized to attack the monsters. This may involve utilizing the totems to corral them, but that comes with its own risks. Now, we head into our trailer solely section to see if there's any more clues in what's to come. I won't be going over every shot, just the ones where I can add additional context from past videos. I think we have a better idea of who Sophia is talking to here now that we know Roger's body is in the shed. She says it's time to play. Something you do with dolls. So maybe Sophia has the ability to control Roger's corpse. We'll see a body being burned here. I wonder if that's Roger.

[00:18:02]I guess he'll be making more appearances steering Boyd into the right direction.

[00:18:07]That is if you believe Father Cotri is good. Katri says this is where you make your stand. And I wonder if those bullets will come into play since this is the room Boyd hides them.
