ADC: Atiku Wins Presidential Primaries As Amaechi Raises Concerns

[00:00:00]Former vice president Atiku Abubaka recorded a strong showing in the ongoing African Democratic Congress presidential primary election defeating fellow aspirants Rotimi Aameichi and Muhammad Hayatin in parts of Yub state. Results announced by the returning officers showed that polling 740 votes in Bolawa and Potiscom while former minister of transportation Aichi secured 15 votes and hire to got two votes. The ADC presidential primaries was concluded across 8,89 WS nationwide with the three aspirants casting their votes in their respective states. Artiku voted in the Jimea area of Adamawa state and commended the conduct of the exercise expressing optimism that the outcome of the primary will contribute to Nigeria's recovery.

Speaking after voting in River State, Amichi said he would only accept the outcome of the primary if the process remained transparent, free and fair across the country. He noted that the exercise, in his word, witnessed massive turnout, celebration, and orderly participation, adding that he had monitored reports from different states and hoped the same standard was mention maintained nationwide. The former River State governor however warned that aspirants would challenge the process if irregularities emerged. AI stressed that he was willing to support whoever emerged victorious if the exercise remained credible but insisted that any flawed process would be questioned by constant dissatisfied with the conduct of the election.
