[00:00:00]This beetle carries a chemical weapon inside its body. And the way it works is genuinely wild. The bombarder beetle stores two separate chemicals in its abdomen. Hydroquinone in one chamber, hydrogen peroxide in another. Apart, they are stable. But when a predator attacks, the beetle mixes them together.

[00:00:24]The mixture hits a reaction chamber lined with enzymes. It explodes into boiling spray at 100° C. The beetle can aim this spray with a rotating nozzle.
