They didn't vote on Israel's participation, which Martin is not saying here because the EBU does whatever it can to not associate Israel's publicly funded broadcaster with its criminal government. They could have voted on that, and they almost did up until the ceasefire in Gaza was implemented, the one that's killed over 800 Palestinians since it was introduced. But after that was canceled, there were broadcasters who were asking for a secret ballot so that they could finally make a decision on that issue. And the leadership said no. And they also pretended like they didn't know what that request was about.
