Any Card Chosen is Found by Card Control. Cool Magic Card Trick

[00:00:16]Hi guys, welcome back to totally magic channel. Got a great little quick trick for you. Uh before we get into the card trick by the way, just I'd show you these two chips that I picked up from Las Vegas.

[00:00:27]Unfortunately, they're the black chips.

[00:00:29]They're worth $1 each. It's better if you got those colorful chips, like the reds, the greens, the blues. They're worth $5, $10, $20, even $100.

[00:00:41]Okay? But as a magician, we're quite fortunate because of course we can just do something like this that you'll see that the chip changes color.

[00:00:53]Not only that, people think you've just turned them over.

[00:00:58]Well, that's even better because that gives us two chips worth a fortune. And you can even hand these out for examination. It's a great little trick from team you. Cost me $1. Search it out. It's a great little opener. Anyway, you came here for a card trick. Here we got a deck of cards. We're going to shuffle these.

[00:01:19]Uh and you're going to talk about a thing called the open prediction. So I want to show you another variation of this. And I think you're going to love this because it's impossible.

[00:01:31]We won't use the whole deck. We'll save a bit of time. But we're going to take the control away from both of us and the cards are going to be in control. So I'm just going to remove a few cards from the pack to begin with.

[00:01:47]Um It doesn't really matter. But I'll tell you something, they're not picture cards for the simple reason they got a high value, 12, 13, and you'll see why that's important.

[00:01:59]Now, I'm going to shuffle these. You shuffle the cards cuz I've looked at them. So, the spectator is given the pack to shuffle.

[00:02:07]I shuffle these cards here.

[00:02:10]Give them a mix up.

[00:02:12]Now, I want you to choose any card from those cards. The spectator will pick out any card.

[00:02:20]The rest of the pack we don't need. So, now we've mixed up the cards, I'm going to take your card without looking at it.

[00:02:28]I'm going to push it into roughly the center of this small packet of cards.

[00:02:35]Okay, now we know there's somewhere in the middle, your card. So, what we'll do, we'll give them a quick mix up like this.

[00:02:46]And uh I think it's only fair that you do the final mix. So, can you cut the cards anywhere? The spectator will cut anywhere in the pack like this. I think you'll agree, we got some random cards along with your card, but the cards are going to take control of what's about to happen. You cut here.

[00:03:09]Do you want to cut again, or you happy with that top card?

[00:03:13]If we turn over this, it's got a value of one.

[00:03:18]That's going to tell us how many cards to deal to the bottom, one card, and turn the next card over.

[00:03:25]Three. I'm going to give you the pack.

[00:03:28]Deal three cards. Now, the spectator will deal one, two, three, and turn over the next card.

[00:03:37]Give the cards back to me.

[00:03:39]Two.

[00:03:40]One, two.

[00:03:42]Turn over the next card. A six. I give that to the spectator. They deal one, two, three, four, five, six. They turn over this one. It's a four. I take the cards back and I do 1 2 3 4 and turn over this. Now, you probably notice we had no control over that. You mixed the cards up.

[00:04:07]And yet, only one card is face down among the rest of the cards. What was your card?

[00:04:17]The queen. And there is the queen of diamonds. A great little card trick.

[00:04:27]So, here's the tutorial for this particular card effect. It is a self-worker. So, no moves or anything like that. But, if we go through what you do is you take a regular deck. They can be shuffled.

[00:04:44]Doesn't make any difference. Okay?

[00:04:47]When you say you're going to remove some cards. Now, the routine-ing, you make up your own story. You might just want to perform it as an amazing card feat that the cards control the chosen card. But, I like to base it on the open prediction because it's very similar to that.

[00:05:06]You go through and you're going to remove six cards. Now, the the cards you're going to remove is the five, a three, and an ace.

[00:05:21]So, you're going to remove these three cards in that order: five, three, and ace. Odd cards. You're then going to remove three even cards, which would be six, four, and two. The suit is neither here nor there. It's just the values. So, this is what you would do.

[00:05:44]So, let me do that. As I would remove these, so I've got the five, the three, and the ace, the six, the four, and the two.

[00:05:57]Now, when you uh mix these up, you want to keep them in the same order.

[00:06:03]So, what I tend to do, when I give the pack to the spectator to give a shuffle, while they're shuffling the cards, I also do a shuffle. You don't have to do this, but I feed them in the original order. So, I just peel off the cards one at a time. 1 2 3 4 5 6, and then I do it again like that.

[00:06:27]So, they're basically in the original order.

[00:06:32]You then take their card. So, let's say they've chosen the jack.

[00:06:40]This can go on the top. What I tend to do sometimes is I'll take the card from them, and I'll pretend to push it into the middle. But, if you do it from the back, I'm just pushing it to the bottom like this.

[00:06:57]I push it in.

[00:06:59]I then spread the cards and just push forward the two middle ones to say, "We know where your card is. It's in the middle somewhere. So, we're just mix them up a little bit." And all I do is I take two, three, and two.

[00:07:16]Their card is at the bottom.

[00:07:18]It can either be at the bottom or top, doesn't make any difference. Okay?

[00:07:23]Then I say to them, "But, you have the final cut." They do a cut, complete the cut.

[00:07:31]The trick's done. It's totally self-working.

[00:07:35]We turn up the first card. It's a value of one, so we deal one card to the bottom, turn over the next one. This is a three, so we do 1 2 3. We turn over the next one. We then deal two, 1 2.

[00:07:52]Turn over this one, it's a six. 1 2 3 4 5 6. Turn over the next one, it's a four.

[00:08:02]1 2 3 4. Turn over the next one, and you'll see you're left with one card.

[00:08:10]And it will always be their card.

[00:08:12]Totally automated.
