The removal of DEI policies has actually decreased white male enrollment in elite colleges, contrary to the claim that these policies were excluding white men; this is because white men underperform in key educational metrics including high school graduation rates, college enrollment, college graduation rates, and standardized test scores in reading and language, and the holistic admissions process that considered factors like rural background, religious minority status, LGBTQ identity, and disability previously helped white men who were disadvantaged in these areas.

Trump's WAR on DEI Just Massively BACKFIRED for White MenAdded:
By removing DEI policies, they're not increasing the number of white men getting into certain colleges, they're actually decreasing it.
>> So, if it's merit-based, because the the lie has been that you are losing these positions because they're being given to people who are less qualified than you.
If it's merit-based, and they're actually going by scores, and grades, and efficiency, and and and abilities, you're not you're not stacking up.
>> Ready. We're prepared. Do not give in to fear.
We are fearless.
>> [applause] >> This is not the time to be afraid. This is the time to stand up and fight back.
And to resist any temptation for them to divide us.
We're in this together. The rule OF LAW IS ON OUR SIDE. WE WILL NOT GIVE IN, not give up, WE WILL NOT CAPITULATE, WE WILL NOT BOW, WE WILL NOT BEND. WE WILL SURVIVE.
>> SO, THIS IS THE REASON WHY we can't reason with people.
They voted for somebody that stopped them from advancing as people, right?
They voted for them because he made them feel good about their whiteness or their mediocrity or their lack of of will, you know, will and desire to do better. They thought they would elect somebody who would just hand them, you know, the keys to the kingdom. And it has actually backfired, but they are so stubborn that they're not even going to acknowledge that they are having problems. So, I found this clip uh from TikTok about how affirmative action, cuz you know affirmative action was overturned. I didn't spend a whole lot of time on these airwaves crying about it, because I knew it was coming.
They've been trying to get go go after affirmative action, but I what I also knew is that affirmative action mostly helped white women in this country.
Mostly helped Asians. Mostly helped other people. Black people were not the sole and and primary beneficiary of affirmative action, but we got all of the demonization around affirmative action. So, what they have done ostensibly is remove a program that actually was benefiting more white women and others than it actually was benefiting black people. So, it going away didn't do anything. So, then they found another target, DEI. That actually has hurt.
But, the affirmative action, not a problem. And here's why. Play Danielle Carr on TikTok.
>> Republican white men had been railing against affirmative action in college admissions for decades. So, a few years ago when it went away, they were pretty excited about it.
>> Affirmative action is deeply unfair on every level. Doesn't matter what race you are talking about. If one race is able to get into college with scores that are 200 points below another race, that is obviously racist and it's obviously discrimination under the equal protection clause. That's exactly what was happening when it came to Harvard University as well as the University of North Carolina. Both of those particular colleges were the ones were named in this lawsuit.
>> On June 29th, 2023, the United States Supreme Court struck down affirmative action in college admissions. And if you were anywhere near right-wing media that day, you would have thought that white men won the Super Bowl. What made me think about this was a video that came across my FYP a few days ago.
>> So, something I think most people are aware of is that a lot of colleges and universities have been moving away from diversity, equity, and inclusion or DEI policies, particularly when it comes to admissions. Um but, what's surprising about this and what a lot of people didn't realize is that the outcome of this has been that in a number of elite schools, the number of white men admitted to the universities has actually gone down. Um and someone asked me how that could be and I was like, well, so if you're assuming that white men are being excluded because of DEI, then of course you would assume the numbers would go up. But that wasn't actually what was happening.
Um what was actually happening is that because universities were looking at people holistically, they were taking into account factors like if someone grew up in a rural area and still in the United States in many places, the majority of rural people are white. Um or if they were from a religious minority, or if they were LGBTQ, or they were disabled, or all these kinds of things, those would also be part of, you know, kind of how they saw this whole person. Now that they aren't, um we're getting this other problem, which is the more major kind of thing that we're seeing in education, which is that white men underperform. So they are less likely to graduate high school, they're less likely to enroll in college, and they're less likely to graduate college.
They also tend to score worse on certain types of standardized tests, particularly around reading and language. And so all of that is adding up to that in fact by removing DEI policies, they're not increasing the number of white men getting into certain colleges, they're actually decreasing it.
>> So if it's merit-based, because the the lie has been that you are losing these positions because they're being given to people who are less qualified than you.
If it's merit-based, and they're actually going by scores, and grades, and efficiency, and and and abilities, you're not you're not stacking up.
Now, the problem is it's a lot.
And the problem now is not only is it a lot, but coupled with the gas prices, the rise in home prices, the inability you don't have a degree now, their jobs are going away, AI is coming in and replacing a lot of the jobs that people thought they were going to get. Uh this president got rid of all of the green new jobs. The did the new jobs that would have been there for the people who who um you know, might be manual laborers, no jobs there.
So, we're also now breeding a group of people who are even more frustrated, angry, looking to blame. It's a little dangerous. I'm just going to say because who do you blame now? They ain't got rid of the immigrants.
Who to bl- Who are you going to blame now?
Because these are also people who are not very self-aware or going to be looking in the mirror to fix themselves.
So, now they're going to be violent and and problematic. Which, you know, as we as we think about building community, you know, "Why do you have a piano?"
will come to mind.
"Oh, look at that thriving community.
How dare they? I have nothing."
We've been here before is my point.
History rhymes.
And this this very thing that that they voted for, they voted for this, will be the thing that will make sure that they never reach the place that they think It's It's a wild thing. What comes around goes around. You voted for this.
>> We're ready. We're prepared. Do not give in to fear.
We are fearless.
This is not the time to be afraid. This is the time to stand up and fight back.
And to resist any temptation for them to divide us.
We're in this together. The rule OF LAW IS ON OUR SIDE. WE WILL NOT GIVE IN, not give up, we will not capitulate, WE WILL NOT BOW, WE WILL NOT BEND, WE WILL SURVIVE.
