Insecurity.

[00:00:00]You know those moments in life where something clicks and you're like, "Ah, makes so much sense." That happened to me when I learned how insecurities actually work. And I want to talk about a couple common examples. Let's talk about hair, more so keeping your hair and height.

[00:00:21]If you were to look through my photo reel from about 19 to about 28, other than pictures of my pork sword, you'd probably find endless photos of the top of my head. I remember like looking back and look back at like the old ones compared to the new ones and you're like, "Oh no, is it over? Is it over?

[00:00:38]What's happening? Is that it?" All that stress and worry over nothing. Yeah. So, definitely a topic I can relate to.

[00:00:44]Let's take a 25year-old bloke who is clearly balding and he's clearly insecure about it, right? He's like that guy who's like started wearing a hat, you know, he's like covering it up and all that kind of stuff. And now we're going to copy paste him and we're going to take one of the copies over to Turkey and he's going to get like the full-on best treatment ever. He's going to have the best doctor, all the best medicine, and he comes back, he's got a fullon perfect head of hair. Anyway, he flies back home. He meets up with his twin.

[00:01:10]Now, if you were to guess which of the twins had more insecurity about their hair, intuitively you'd think the twin who didn't get the treatment, right?

[00:01:19]That makes the most sense, right?

[00:01:20]Everyone can see his balding and blah blah blah. And the second twin, he's got a full head of hair. But, and this is where the ah is about to come into it.

[00:01:29]That's not how insecurities actually work. You see, the twin who got the treatment, he still has that insecurity.

[00:01:35]It's just covered up. He might not act like he has the insecurity for now, but it's still there. It's still buried deep in there. And in fact, you could argue that the insecurity is actually grown because now he has more writing on it.

[00:01:48]Now he's put more effort into keeping his hair. You see that insecurity developed a long time ago, even before this guy was balding. And even though now he has his perfect set of hair, how often do you think he's going to be checking up on it? A little bit like me at the start of the video. So the insecurity as well as all the anxiety attached to it, it's still there. It's still doing damage. And so you're obviously thinking, okay, how do I get over these insecurities? And it's going to be different for everyone. But for me, I think the best way to do it is accepting it, but also owning it, like not being afraid of it. Laugh at yourself. I swear to God, like it's the easiest thing. You make jokes about yourself and you're open about the insecurity, then the power just gets taken away from it. I think I can explain this better with height. It's something that you can't really fight as much as you can with hair. You see, I can't relate to this one as much, but I do get the vibe that shorter people, especially shorter BS, it's not necessarily they care that they're short. It's more about how society and especially women will treat them. Again, we're going to take two identical people, two short BS. Let's say they're like 5'2, 5' 3, 5'4, something like that. And one of the guys, he owns it.

[00:02:58]The other one, he's still fighting. He's still in denial. He's still, you know, like when people are taking photos and that guy like gets up on his tippy toes, it's like, "Bro, what are you doing?"

[00:03:07]That guy who owns it, he accepts he's short. He makes jokes about himself. I'm so short when I get with a chick, I need a step, you know? I need a step on someone. You know what I mean? Like, like, how does society make fun of this guy? How do they bully him? That's impossible. This dude's just said he uses a step to plow with you. Like, you can't really fight him. You know what I mean? What are you going to do? Walk up to him, go, "Haha, you're short." Like, like, you can't bully this guy. When someone accepts stuff and they own it, they love it. You can't fight them. Like you're, you know what I mean? Now, we'll take the other guy. You know, the one who's getting on his tippy toes, the one who's wearing like platform shoes, the one who like lies about his height, says he's like 5 in taller than he actually is. How much easier is it to mess with this guy? You just say, "Oh, you're short." He'll lose his mind. Now, think a woman who wants to date one of these guys. You see where I'm going? Who would be better to date? You can already tell.

[00:03:56]And remember, these guys are copy paste of each other. All it is is a simple attitude difference. All I know is if I'm the chick, I'm going to be like, "Hey, you bring your step. You're coming over to my place." You know what I mean?

[00:04:08]Like, no one likes the insecure guy. And it's the same thing with balding. Like, if you're a bald guy and you're making fun of yourself, oh yeah, you can rub my head. Good luck. Blah blah blah. Or you're that same guy with perfect hair, but you're fullon so concerned about your hair all the time. Who do you think is going to be more attractive? And the same thing will go for women as well. I remember I briefly dated this chick way back that she was obsessed with her makeup and she didn't want me to see her with no makeup on and it was that insecurity that was that unattractive part. She looked fine without any makeup on. I I just didn't give a [ __ ] Yeah, but the obsession of it was so [ __ ] annoying. I swear to God, bro. Anyway, I think I can wrap it up here. Yeah, I think I've explained everything.

[00:04:45]Whatever you're insecure about, own it.

[00:04:47]Be public about it. Depending on what it is, you know what I mean? But joke around about it. Just like you show you own yourself, you're confident with it, right? You're going to do way better than if you're sitting there hiding it.
