Property tax freeze moving forward in NC legislature

[00:00:08]Lawmakers will discuss the proposal in about 2 hours. State Republicans want to stop any county with a reappraisal planned in 2026 from using those new numbers to determine how much people owe in property taxes. Here in our region, Harnett County would be affected under the current version of the bill, but the proposal could still change as it moves through the legislature.
