In Indian politics, when political alliances break down, parties often engage in blame games, with DMK leader Udhayanidhi Stalin accusing Congress of being responsible for BJP's rise in India, while Congress responds by criticizing DMK for insulting their former ally, demonstrating how political alliances can deteriorate into public conflicts when parties perceive betrayal.

Tamil Nadu News | Udayanidhi Stalin Blames Congress For BJP's Rise, Sparks Political RowAdded:
Well, [music] a huge war of words has erupted in Tamil Nadu between the Congress and the DMK as Udhayanidhi Stalin has hit out at former ally [music] Congress party. Udhayanidhi Stalin has said in that court that the Congress is the reason for the BJP's rise in India. That's an important allegation [music] leveled by Udhayanidhi Stalin of the DMK who's hit out at the Congress, his erstwhile ally, saying that the Congress is the reason behind the BJP's [music] rise in the country. Congress has hit back saying that the DMK must refrain from crossing all limits to insult parties that were until recently its allies. [music] So, there seems to be a big war of words that has erupted between erstwhile allies, the DMK and the Congress.
[music] Remember that just recently with Congress joining the BJP government, there's been a big sort of fallout of ties between the DMK and [music] the Congress. The alliance has broken apart and amid this we're also seeing a repeated war of words between the two erstwhile allies. Let's also listen in to the reactions coming in on this.
[music] Modi and Amit Shah are the reason for this.
I know.
I think the reason main reason is the Congress party that BJP victory is the reason if you tell me I would put the and the Congress union number one on the total summit current the Narendra Modi sat on the current summit with the Congress and the BJP Congress Narendra current the I want to know the right one there I had the right one right there and I had the right one right there if you put the right one right one right there I don't know if you would have the total my country one there I want to know the I had the right one right one right there and I had the right one right one right there I don't know if you would have the I I want to know Narendra Modi would put the I don't know if you would have the right one right one right there I don't know if you would have the I want to know I don't know if you would have the right one right one right there and I had the right one right one right there I don't >> Well, we have Mr. Saravanan of the DMK joining us on the broadcast to react on this. You know, sir, there seems to be a big war of words that is erupting between the DMK and the Congress. Of course, your party has hit out at your erstwhile ally, the Congress party. Help us understand what exactly it is that you feel with regards to the Congress.
Uh they we had our youth wing party meeting yesterday where our leader, Mr. M.K. Stalin, and the leader of opposition, Mr. Udhayanidhi Stalin, participated. Where our leader, Mr. Udhayanidhi Stalin, clearly mentioned that at any cost we should never ever ally with the Congress.
So, that was the resolution that was passed there, and we condemned the action of the Congress backstabbing us.
And he said also made a comment that if the BJP is coming back to power repeatedly, that is not because of the Chanakya of BJP, it is because of the Congress.
Uh they were not able to I mean, because if they are handling the situation in the state of Tamil Nadu like this, then we could have we could understand how they had managed the affairs in the entire country, and probably that is why there is no strong uh they were people are not able to come together uh with the Congress.
Probably that is the reason BJP is still in power now.
Sir, I also want to ask a larger question with regards to where the opposition stands at the national level of the country because, you know, your party was with the Congress in the India alliance. Help us understand where does the future of that very alliance stand with such a, you know, huge disintegration of a total sort of, you know, falling apart of ties of your party with the Congress?
See, that's [clears throat] what India alliance, I think is just there on paper. There was this Kerala government chief minister swearing in. Nobody was there. No national leader was there.
And nobody else apart from the state of Kerala is there. Usually it doesn't happen like that.
People from the other states, the leaders from the other states, other parties, all of them would be joining, but it did not happen in Kerala.
So, there will be a realignment. We'll have to wait and see.
