[00:00:05]When we mention about batik, our minds are often drawn to states located on the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia, as this special art is strongly associated with and well-known in Kelantan and Terengganu. The creativity in batik production is carried out using a lot of technique. For example, [music] one of the famous way which is the block technique, where copper plates are shaped according to specific motif designs. [music] Okay, guys. Let's explore this place together.

[00:01:27]>> You know, the batik actually is very unique. Uh and the people uh come to our shop actually to to see how the beauty of the batik and how we make it the batik.

[00:01:40]So, to preserve uh on the traditional batik, actually, we are promoting the batik with uh motif uh Malaysia to see people come here and once people uh buy and wear, something we proud that they appreciate for the batik.

[00:01:57]>> Puan Rafidah also teach the younger generation the traditional way of making batik and encourage [music] them to preserve this heritage while incorporating their own individual expression.

[00:02:32]>> Puan Rafidah guided us through the batik coloring process step by step before allowing us to express our own creativity.

[00:02:45]>> One initiative to help young people get to know batik art is by organizing batik workshops in school and communities.

[00:02:53]Through hands-on activities, they can learn about the history, technique, and cultural significance of batik. Social media campaign [music] and batik team competitions can also attract their interest and encourage them to appreciate this traditional art. By combining education and creativity, [music] more young people can become familiar with and proud of batik heritage.
