This Question Changes EVERYTHING About Being Human!

[00:00:00]What is a human being? This should come off as a very [music] obvious question.

[00:00:04]We are all human beings. Your mother and sister are both human beings. But to understand the question at hand, we have to ask a few more. Do they keep [music] that status when they die or enter a coma? And when did they become a human?

[00:00:17]The moment they were born? The moment they were conceived? Or when they could finally rationalize? This is the whole contention of the abortion debate. When does life begin? When does one become human? Many pro-choice atheists believe that murder is wrong. And while some others might object to the idea of objective morality, and while I do have a video covering that topic, for argument's sake, [music] I will presuppose that murdering innocent human beings is an absolute evil. Murder is defined as the unlawful or unjustified [music] killing. For the pro-choice argument to be consistent, any reason they find to justify abortion [music] must also apply to already born human being. After all, we are all Homo sapiens from [music] the moment of conception all the way to the moment of our death. After all, at every stage of development, all the way from the fetus to your death, [music] you are an alive human organism. One of the most common arguments for abortion is qualia. Qualia is also known as the subjective [music] conscious experience. Let's suppose that pro-choice atheists are correct and that there is no such thing as objective morality. If that were the case, there [music] would be nothing inherently valuable about the human's biology. To them, only the qualia is what matters.

[00:01:26]If we keep going with this and assuming this [music] is all true, we would be led to absurdity where any human who lacks qualia, for example, a coma [music] patient or a baby born in a persistent vegetative state, could be killed with no good reason. In atheist world where [music] utility is the only value, babies could be brought up for the sole purpose of organ harvesting. Or if the baby still doesn't have qualia, could be used [music] as dolls. And this could even be considered moral if it reduces actual C-samp [music] or abuse against conscious children. As under their worldview, there is no person being harmed [music] there because it lacks quality. Now, this isn't the only reason why abortion is [music] wrong and the justifications fall flat.
