In 1908, Norwegian industrialist Christian Mustad purchased a painting believed to be a Van Gogh, but after a guest questioned its authenticity, Mustad moved it to his attic where it remained hidden for 105 years until the Van Gogh Museum confirmed in 2013 that it was the authentic 'Sunset at Montmajour'—the first full-sized Van Gogh authenticated since 1928, now valued at approximately $50 million.
