This video documents the Global Sumud Flotilla activists' experience after their humanitarian mission to Gaza was intercepted by Israeli authorities. Multiple detainees describe severe mistreatment including physical injuries, sexual assaults, confinement in small containers without adequate conditions, and being held on prison boats. The activists emphasize that their treatment, while harsh, was nothing compared to what Palestinians experience daily under occupation. The video highlights the activists' determination to continue their mission despite the violence, noting that Israel's harsh response was motivated by fear of organized civilian action challenging the blockade.

I don't know.
I no change.
Huh?
Roy McDonald.
You get me?
Yeah, please.
I already shore. John no.
Okay.
Heat.
Heat.
Heat.
Can you tell us about how you were treated by Israel when you were detained after you were in it was very bad and I believe that Palestinian people also was treated like that and even worse that's my what do you think about the video posted by Bengal yesterday of the treatment I see Okay. What's your name? Your last name?
Ali. Ra. Mi from which which ship were you on? A >> Okay. Thank you. How are you? I'm promoted to the agency. How were you treated by the Israeli forces when you were detained? I just can't see. 35 injuries, five head injuries, 12 assault by sexually, and one one uh bleeding eyes, one red eyes, and 12 um I forget one more thing. This is just for the humanity. You imagine what happened to Lagazada.
>> Thank you. Did you see the video that Ben posted yesterday? What do you think?
>> We don't have any. We just get connected with the world. We will see what happened. What is going on after this?
>> What's your What's your name?
>> Ahmed.
>> Malaysia.
>> Malaysia. Which ship were you on?
>> Here it is.
>> Okay.
really basically we were charged. Uh we have been tripping up in international water taken into a prison on board. Most of us has been uh taken into a small container uh be also with electricity with user water. This is simply torture and of course is nothing compared to what Palestinians experience every day.
>> And um did you see the video posted by the yesterday? What did you not yet?
Okay. Um, can you tell us your name and last name?
>> Adriano.
>> Uh, where are you from?
>> Italy.
>> And which ship?
>> I was in blue.
>> Okay. Uh, when are you going to Italy?
>> I think today. Today. Okay. Thank you very much.
Hi sir. Uh I'm from News Agency. Can you tell us about how you're achieving Yeah, sure.
>> Um, we were taken to a prison boat. Uh, three of them, I'm pretty sure.
>> In one of the prison boats, 35 people suffered fractures in their ribs. Uh, people said there was at least 12 sexual assaults that took place. People were tased. Um, me personally, I was kept in uh cuffs where I can't feel my hands anymore. I was kicked in the ribs multiple times. Um, I want to say all this just to lead up to the fact that we were taken to Kitzia prison again, uh, where Palestinians are held over 10,000.
Uh, if they can do this to us, what can they do to Palestinians? Truly, truly, if they can do this to a bunch of European American citizens from all over, take us into this these torture chambers, these big ship torture chambers on ships uh, in the middle of the Mediterranean, and then take us again to a desert prison. Excuse my friends. Like what can they do to the Palestinians? We were counting the population.
>> What were you on?
>> Go to go.
>> And um did you see the video posted by Bang yesterday?
>> Uh what do you think about the international reaction so far from >> I I don't have no idea what the international reaction is? I just got off display.
>> What's your name?
>> Alex. Alex Coleston.
>> Colston. And uh where are you from?
>> I'm a journalist. I'm at contributor at Zateo.
>> And uh what like nationality wise?
>> United States. Thank you very much.
Thank you so much.
Thank you. Thank you.
Can we interview news agency?
>> Okay.
>> English.
>> Okay. All right. Thank you very much. No problem.
>> Can we interview you? We're from Reuters News Agency.
>> Um How have you been treated since uh you your ship was intercepted? What what happened? Um can you explain it in detail?
>> Technically, I say there's broken international law and the rights when it comes to being treated in humanely and the objective due to degrading treatment, but this is nothing compared to what Palestinians living. So, we've been treated very nice. You maybe see some of the marks and swelling on my face, but uh that is absolutely nothing what the Palestinians have experienced.
So, that's awesome.
>> Um thank you. you posted a video of uh how the detainees were treated and um you know there was images of him like talking to uh people. Uh what do you think about this that you know that it was the video was shared on social media? Well, I mean that shows a little bit of the attitude and characteristics of certain people who have think that it's okay to talk to you while they're treating them inhumane and Netanyahu said this is a way like he misrepresented Israelis uh in another tweet. And what do you think about that u the fact that you know it's sort of part of eternal um >> I think it's it's important to remember the humanity of everybody involved in this including Israelis and Israelis who are also standing up for more dignified Israel and more dignified treatment and we also see internal conflict within where you see this haunting and perhaps a more childlike childish character and some other people who uh without saying that I agree with every view um where they they treat people uh who option to treat people in a more humane way, but that's for everyone. So when we seek peace, when we talk about humanity, talk about humanity for everyone, Palestinians, Israelis, and whatever, that's humanity.
>> What's your name?
>> My name is Chris Omar.
>> And which uh which boat were you on?
>> I was on. And you're from Norway.
>> Yeah, something like that. What's your name? Hey, I'm from Don't worry about it.
They love you.
I can't say I love you so Okay.
>> Okay.
>> What can you tell us about how you were treated? Uh >> they treated they treated how like they are under the animal. Uh we we we now we we uh we have lots of things reason to hang up really. They uh we spend five days like that and they we have lots of reason to >> and uh Bangalore posted a video of um the treatment of the detaines. anything imagine anything imagine uh sexual level I think one of my friends I don't I don't know anything imagine physical anything I'm a Yes.
Wow.
Everyone, we want to get meeting and coordinating.
Okay.
>> Can you can you describe what happened since you were intercepted? What type of treatment you faced? Actually we are once again saw that how to try this tourist he abducted condition water to the congress and the first time actually doing that away from this cos this moment they were always staying there they are protected near the west door which means 150 miles from the coastline of Gaza but today we can see that they actually strapped in terrest There were in each country and it is not only transport for the Palestinian people.
You can see that and this time actually also in the last mission and I want to hear we saw that actually they kicked many people. They shooted our colleagues. They broke ri more than 10 of our colleagues, friends and comrades and actually they they try to do convince or us to not try again something similar. But we are sure that in next months and in next year we will make something much more efficient and we are much more confident to do something better from this mission and go away. We are not afraid of the Zunist entity and all humans all three souls knows what is actually Israel how what kind of terror they are doing in this state not only in Palestine in the whole world.
Thank you so much.
Do you want to do an interview for Reuters?
I'm going with her, sir.
>> I'm going with her.
>> I'm barbaric. What they did to us was nothing. We suffered nothing. And You don't just It's just the journalist with the delegates.
>> We have to this barbaric crude regime must be disbanded. United States and Germany are funding it 100% with the backing of England, France and all the western governments who are a white menace spreading pestilence and violence wherever they go. They have a war machine to make billions. And I for one as a mother and a doctor and an Irish citizen saying yours we must change the world and make it safe and kind and not have people treating you like dogs and keeping you in the ground and stealing a country that is not theirs. It is not yours. You must give some of it back and share with the Palestinians. You have no right to do what you do.
>> Thank you so much.
Don't put a lot of night.
>> We need to get her on the bus. You can talk to her after. We need to get on the bus. I'm sorry.
First of all, Yeah.
Heat. Heat.

Okay.
Ready guys?
Show them again.
Look at this game. Escape.
We are still mostly everything.
Good, good, good.
One more time. One more time.
Come on.
One more.
Definitely fed a lot I had another >> Hi. Hello.
>> Uh we're from Reuters. Do you want to do a short interview about what you experienced?
>> Um so, uh what happened since your ship was intercepted? How were you treated?
Um >> we've experienced a really dystopic kind of version of Israel here that you hear and read about in the news. uh to actually experience them firsthand is a very different thing altogether. Like we've been beaten, tortured, uh systematically, you know, dehumanized and you know, we've just had a little taste of what the Palestinians go through every day, you know, some years in detention. So that's the message that's really important to get out right now is this isn't about what we've just experienced over the last few days. This is us witnessing what Palestinians go through every day.
>> Yeah. Just to reiterate like I think that's the the crazy thing is that from from when we were intercepted we were met with such levels of violence our boats were shot at. Um and from the moment that we entered the prison ship to touching down in occupied Palestine, um we were violated in all all different manner or ways. And the fact that Israel would do that to us with the world on us. I can only imagine what they do to Palestinian prisoners every single day with not with the lack of media attention, with the lack of journalists and the eyes around the world on them.
Um yeah, like we were we were we were brutalized most definitely. Um and yeah, there's some very very sad scenes. I see one female comrade of ours get beaten up with three male soldiers and pointing their guns at her and kicking her on the ground. That's three brown men doing that to a woman as well. You know, that's just one small example of something that I want on the streets.
But again, it's it's bringing it back to Palestine is if that's what they'll do to Western people with strong passports, white appearing, what are they doing to the Palestinian people every single day?
>> Um Ben posted a video of determin um you probably haven't seen it, but um it was you know him prisoners. What do you think about this that he posted this video on social media?
>> So he posted what?
>> Bangladesh.
Yeah. Yeah. He posted a video of how you know prison detaininees being taken on and you know how they retreated and this was posted on X so everyone saw it. What do you think about, you know, the fact that they have posted?
>> I mean, we we were very aware that they were filming us when we were there. And, you know, clearly they're not going to post when they throw flashbang grenades on the deck to disperse, you know, a crowd of 60, 80 people. They're not going to post pictures of when they come into the compound on the ship, you know, with a full line of riot police when they shoot at us with rubber bullets.
Clearly, they're not going to post that.
They're going to post the lull in between when we sit there and just take stock and wonder where we're going and wonder how our comrades are going to do who are lying inside the containers with broken ribs, no painkillers.
You know, clearly they're going to be posting the bits in between. You know, they're not going to post when they flood the entire compound with seawater to get us to rush back into the containers. They're they're not going to post pictures of us sleeping 80 people in a 40ft container. You know, some people standing up all night, you know, freezing cold only with what we were wearing, like a finer layer, some in box of shorts and t-shirts. Absolutely freezing cold. They wouldn't give us blankets. They wouldn't give us our clothes back. They're not going to post that.
>> Um, and to you maybe uh why do you think the the response was more stronger than the previous times? It seemed that the treatment was a little uh more abrupt uh than the previous. Why do you think that is? I think because Israel is a house of cards and the whole system of imperialism globally um is showing cracks and I think there's nothing more than the 1% the ruling class the Zionists the imperialist fear is ordinary people taking it upon themselves to take some action organizing um from all around the worlds and just showing a bit of leadership a bit of bravery and just putting a foot down and that's everything that they fear because their whole system relies and our inaction, our apathy um and our disillusionment with the system. We've chosen to take action and they fear that and we did have a great chance of breaking the siege. That's why Israel attacked us twice way way into Europe the first time and still in Europe um with the recent interceptions as well.
So that's it. people organizing, people mobilizing, we can defeat them and they know that and that's why they had to suppress us early and that's why they inflicted such violence on us to try and put us off from doing any further action.
>> Can we have your name?
>> We need to get everybody.
>> It's Michael Cullen.
>> Michael Richard Anderson >> from Ireland. Which boat on this elevation?
We got them on the fly.
>> It looks like a designer handbag or something. Yeah, >> if you could tell us about those moments when they when they shot fire.
>> They fired us and our interception. They intercepted us at about 2:00 local time um in international waters and their boats came. The the speed boat came. Sorry, I'm a bit me head's a bit sore so it makes me their uh their speed boat came at us. We were still videoing them while they were coming towards us and they pulled up alongside our boat. One of them stood on a kind of raised platform that they had on their on their rib and cocked his gun. I thought he was just kind of posturing. Um and then he did open fire on the on the the captain on the first mate in the in the bow of the boat. Um and then on us in the cockpit area in the middle of the boat as well. And he did hit a number of people and then he was firing off the mast as well. Um, I'm not sure how many clips he he unloaded, but the the shooting went on for about 40 seconds, probably. I think most of it was caught on camera as well by a comrade of mine who was live streaming.
Um, and as I said, like at the time we didn't know, was it live ammunition that they were using or was it rubber bullets or I'm still it was rubber bullets obviously, but um, yeah, at the time we didn't know. So it was definitely definitely again they did fire upon other boats at at interception but um another example of how they've escalated you know um to just outright lead with with gunfire. Thank you very much.
Um, >> maybe let's do it when we get off.
>> We can do it when we get off >> we don't get interrupted halfway.
interception series all the world is so interested in Iraq world And what we experience in jail, many people were injured. People had rims broken broken off and their face was flashed in and a concussion where someone lost their memory in the first interception.
We realize that the Palestinians are living through this even worse than us.
And it motivates us even more to continue. We will not stop. We're not deterred. We are not afraid. I'm more motivated to go back and continue to protect your >> Dr. Frank Romano. I'm a I'm a lawyer, international lawyer from France and also a law professor, but right now I'm an activist 100% with the global and also work with the freedom as I was alder. I'm still working with the freedom as well for the freedom of Palestine helping Palestine free itself.
Because Palestine wants also to free the world.
What's up?
stand.
>> Um, can we have your name and last name?
>> Yeah, my name is Santos.
>> Uh, and where are you from? I'm from Spain, Spanish education.
>> And you were on Syria and uh you were one of the last boats or one the last boat. And can you describe what happened? The boat uh the Israeli ship rammed your boat.
>> Hopefully, I don't know because we don't have any of our phones. We dropped everything into the sea, but uh it was hopefully it was recorded, but we were rammed by a large ship. We were surrounded by three large ships and shot at with water cannons pretending to stop us at any cost. and then ramp uh with the bow of the of the ship, ripping off a large part of the equipment and also endangering the the life of one one of my crew members who uh just passed his is his neck.
>> And how do you feel in those moments?
Were you scared? Um can you describe your feelings?
>> Oh, I was just filling with adrenaline.
We were on a mission objective and to getting it >> and um how are you treated after the interception? Can you tell us about the prison world and >> it was shocking as a person from Spain?
I never felt that level of violence which kind of shocked us the level of violence Palestinians must feel definitely. We were in the prison in the I forgot the name now but we were in this Israeli prison where they they put a lot of gas in the prison. But what was also shocking was the prison boat they put us in. It was like a dungeon of or punishment just for us. They have set up this boat for us in the middle of the water to able to execute all kinds of points. It was very very strong. Can you talk about what happened on the boat?
>> Well, in my case, I got to third. There was the first one smaller. The boat got bigger as we were taking from one to another. There was part of I think we were closer to Gaza, but they had to go back and change boats several times. Uh the the ship was the one of the second ships that not everyone was in. They blindfolded us and used psychological tors.
They kicked us on the seat. They they put us on our knees. Uh and that was the first level of laugh at us, make jokes right behind us. You never knew. People were in pain already. You could hear that shouting Christ your comrades all around you. Very that was very shocking.
And then we went for the natural uh prison boat where was it was completely rehearsed receive us beat us up to move everything and throw us to the floor usually.
I don't know how that that was all recorded. Uh but it was uh I don't know in my experience the most I thought that was never going to end but it was just a prison ball in the middle of the international water with no kind of um space or anything.
They could do anything on us for a moment. I felt like that.
>> So it seems the response was rougher than previous times when we interviewed.
>> But why do you think it's so small?
>> Well, they want to declare us And we had remember that this is the second time we were intercepted within the same mission. Some of us got to skate once twice. Third time we were able to. What type of reaction do you want from I want the national community to be completely aware of what has happened. I hope that my when I get together with the bay, I hope I can better people when they acknowledge uh what Israel does. What we think of a western modern society hiding behind a whole set of democratic system just dedicated to courtship and systematic violence on Palestinians.
You repeat your name.
>> Alonso.
