Efforts to garner the support required to form the government have intensified. However, despite Congress assuring support of its five MLAs, the party still falls short of a majority mark of 118 seats.

With Congress's assured support of five MLAs, the total reaches 112, still six seats short of the required majority. Several parties, the DMK allies, including the IUML, VCK, CPI, CPM, and DMDK, have clearly stated that they will not extend support to the TVK. The parties yet to announce their decision are the PMK with four MLAs and the AMMK with one MLA. It is becoming increasingly clear that the required majority to form the government is still not within reach.

The PMK, which contested as a part of the AIADMK alliance and secured victories in four constituencies, is expected to engage in intense deliberations regarding the prospect of extending support to the TVK.

Somia Anummani who contested from this constituency emerged victorious with a margin of 20,896 votes overcoming both the Vijay wave and the opposition from her father-in-law Ramados. Having suffered a defeat by a margin of 20,000 votes in the 2024 parliamentary elections, she had demonstrated intense focus on the Dhapuri well in advance. This resounding victory has paved the way for her to potentially secure the post of health minister in a TV le government.
