Political advisors who recommend maintaining party unity around a highly unpopular leader may inadvertently contribute to electoral defeat, as voters often punish parties that fail to distance themselves from policies and figures they disapprove of.

Bill O’Reilly Gives Republicans The Worst Advice EVERAdded:
For some reason, NewsNation loves to put noted pervert Bill O'Reilly all over the air.
NewsNation used to be, you know, back when uh uh you had Dan Abrams there. It was a decent network, but then Abrams left. They bring in Chris Cuomo. And of course, they're trying to make this kind of rightward shift to where it's total trash now. But they bring in Bill O'Reilly constantly and have for quite some time now.
So, Bill O'Reilly goes on with conservative uh Leland Vidder, who has a show on NewsNation Now, and Bill O'Reilly proceeded to give the audience and Republicans across the country the worst campaign advice humanly possible that I seriously hope Republicans take.
But Bill O'Reilly, looking at all the poll numbers, looking at the fact that Trump is the least popular president in the history of the United States, JD Vance is the least popular vice president in the history of the United States, Melania Trump is the least popular first lady of the United States.
And Bill O'Reilly told Republicans, "You better not shun Trump in the elections or you'll get trounced.
So, Bill O'Reilly, and I'll read you his exact quote in a second, Bill O'Reilly is encouraging Republicans, no, no, no, no, no, don't run away from Trump.
Embrace him.
O'Reilly said, quote, "If you think you can cut loose the most charismatic populist president of the last 50 years, you're crazy. You can't.
And if you try, you're going to get slaughtered.
And Leland Vidder, again, even being conservative, was kind of like, um, is there any room for Republicans to move away from Trump? May maybe just a little bit. And O'Reilly said, "No, that's the answer to that question. No, he's the ship and you're either going to sail with it or go down with it."
Oh. Oh, sweetheart. They're definitely going to be doing one of those things with that ship. Um, but it's not sailing. No. I love your advice, though, and I do encourage every single Republican running for office in every single area of the United States to follow your advice. I hope they do. I hope that every Republican running for office says, "I stand with everything Donald Trump has done." And then the voters will say, "Cool. So, you stand with my higher grocery prices. You stand with my higher gas prices. You stand with the fact that more than 1 million Americans in the private sector were laid off last year in addition to hundreds of thousands of government workers laid off. You stand with the fact that 4.2 million people were kicked off of the uh supplemental nutritional assistance program here in the United States. Millions of them actually children. You stand with kids going hungry.
You stand with giving tax breaks to the wealthy elite while the rest of us struggle to get by.
You stand by cuts to Medicare and Medicaid and Social Security.
You stand by the man who clearly has dementia.
That's what you're running with. You stand with a man who has a 33% approval rating. Huh. Interesting.
What I love about this is that Republicans have an opportunity to not get slaughtered in the midterms.
And you do that by running away from Trump and denouncing the crap he does.
But Bill O'Reilly says, "Don't do it."
And for the record, it doesn't matter if I'm out here giving Republicans the advice on how to win elections or not, because they're all going to stand with Trump. You are not going to see a Republican running an ad saying, "I disagree with tariffs. I disagree with Iran and Venezuela and Greenland and soon to be Cuba and all of these other stupid horrible things this has done. I don't like seeing his face everywhere. Nobody wants his face in their passport. I disagree with him and I approve this message. That ain't going to happen.
These dumb asses are going to do exactly what Bill O'Reilly says they should do.
And that of course is one of the biggest reasons they're going to get their asses handed to them this coming November. And honestly, I can't wait to see it. In fact, that's the one time I hope News Nation does bring Bill O'Reilly back on to say, "Bill, you told Republicans to do this or they'd get slaughtered."
Well, Republicans did it. They got slaughtered. What do you think now? Huh?
You want to explain to everybody why you're such a big dumb elderly idiot who shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a TV station ever again?
I mean, that's the question they should ask him, but they're probably not going to. Thanks for watching and don't forget you can catch Fair and Balanced Live every weekday at 10:00 a.m. Eastern, 900 a.m. Central. And if you're not already, please do subscribe.
