MCP, Model Context Protocol, is a thing that finally lets AI talk directly to your apps instead of just whispering advice in your ear like a life coach who never stands up. It's like upgrading from writing letters to someone who then types them into a computer versus just handing them the keyboard and saying, "You type." Normally, you say create a project update. The AI pulls data from your spreadsheet, writes the summary, posts it in the right Slack channel, and schedules the follow-up meeting. You touched one prompt, one app, not seven.
