I don't know if you guys have been following up on the news where the Ghana government alongside with the foreign affairs minister announced that they will be sending down rescue flights all the way from Ghana to South Africa to pick up over 300 Ghanaians that showed interest that they want to come back due to the xenophobic attacks that has been going on in South Africa. Do you guys believe that out of the 300 people only one Ghanaian showed up and people are reacting? A lot of Ghanaians are so displeased with the actions of these people and they felt like the last time they checked Ibrahim Mama made it clear that they have a lot of benefit for these people. They will establish these people in Ghana. So why are you guys wasteful? Why are you guys wasting the money, the resources they paid to ensure that they send you back home? I here I just came alone because of I heard about the the situation going on and they say the flight will take off 5:00 a.m. So you must come that is why I prefer no I must come tomorrow.

Out of the 300 Ghanaians, only one joined. Only one. Only one showed up to return. Only one. Meanwhile, the government says if they come back, there will be financial package and reintegration for them that will come back after all this stress wasting money on flight and everything only one showed up. So next time if they are crying at that South Africa again that this and that and that DO YOU THINK THE GOVERNMENT WILL TAKE them serious?

They've disgraced the president and the foreign minister after all this week. Anyway, stick you know what to do. It says the first batch of 300 Ghanaian nationals will be evacuated on the 21st of May, which tells you they were planning on getting more people out of South Africa and back home to Ghana. But why didn't these people pitch to the airport? Was it maybe a case of this call not reaching the intended audience? Do people just not want to leave South Africa? What is it? Whereas the South Africans are also saying there's no xenophobic attack going on here. They are just marching against illegal immigrants that are committing they've been committing several crimes and they the citizens they are not safe and they are marching and they've not done any single um xenophobic attack. But on the other hand, you have people circulating videos that there is xenophobic attack going on there. And today was a special day where it was announced by the Ghana Foreign Affairs Minister in the Ghana High Commissioner that 300 Ghanaians are to be repetrated back home. 5:00 a.m.

[00:07:05]they are supposed to be at the airport this morning. The video coming from the airport. I don't know that guy. He's a Ghanaian. A Ghanaian has made a video.

[00:07:15]He said he's the only Ghanaian that came to the airport. He was there since yesterday till this morning. He hasn't seen any Ghanaian. He hasn't seen any flight. He hasn't he thought he will see at least some Ghanaians around arranging their items. He hasn't seen any Ghanaian at the airport. He's the only Ghanaian there.

[00:07:33]And then with him he just want to come back to Ghana because he wanted to even come last year but he didn't get the opportunity and then he decided to come this year. So when this thing is happening he said okay he should also come and then go with the people back and then he's not seeing anybody. But like I said let's not conclude yet.

[00:07:51]Let's wait till we hear from the Ghana High Commissioner and the Minister of Foreign Affairs. Probably that guy was at the wrong airport. Probably he was using the wrong gate. Probably he didn't get the information. Well, probably didn't register on the portal. Probably they used a different airport. Let's wait and let's hear from them uh before we conclude. or probably there wasn't any single xenophobic attack in South Africa as the South Africans are claiming that they've been friends with Ghanaians for so long and they've had Ghanaian teachers, Ghanaian barbers, Ghanaian nail technicians and they live peacefully. Ghanaians were very peaceful and their agitation even wasn't on Ghanaians until it got to a point where our foreign minister and our ministers came in in a strong manner and called them xenophobic. aware of they've not touched any Ghanaian. They've not done any xenophobic attack to any Ghanaian.

[00:08:44]And that is why the Ghanaians even don't want to leave the country South Africa and only one person came to the airport.

[00:08:50]So let's wait. Let's wait and then let's see probably like I said they came through other route and this guy missed the particular gate where they also used in coming back to Ghana. That is why I prefer no I must come tomorrow so that I will get the flight fast. In terms of maybe there is oh there is a lot of people. Yeah. So I came here I think yesterday 8 7 to 8. Yeah. I think I I I took more than 8 hours or 9 hours. Yeah.

So if you say there is no flight then nothing they going to be disappointed. Yeah. And even me also. Yeah.

[00:13:53]That's what I was said about my fellow Africans. Yeah. So me I can't just say anything about Nigeria or Ethopia because I don't Yeah.

[00:14:30]It boggles my mind that why is the country trying to bring Ghanaians stranded or Ghanaians under xenophobic attack in South Africa back to Ghana and they do not want to come to Ghana? Is it because they are scared of trying again or starting all over again? Is it because they have properties in South Africa that they don't want to leave behind? Is it because they are not sure of jobs in Ghana? Why are they ready to risk it? Why are they ready to, you know, restand the xenophobic attack in South Africa? They attacking them. Go away. Go to your country. Why are they not willing to come back to Ghana? Why are they not ready to be on the next flight back to Ghana? Why are they not enthusiastic or willing to just come back to Ghana? Because this is free flight, no payments, nothing. Come back to Ghana and come and have your freedom and you don't want to be on the plane.

The thing there is that I totally understand what Kanti was trying to say when he said that is there anything like WhatsApp group where these guys are being probably confined or you know ask certain questions to ensure that they know what is going on because I was like 300 people are not small people. Are you sure they did not miss the flight probably unintentionally because I don't understand how can you have over Jesus Christ how can you have over 300 people Ghanaians that showed interest that they want to return back because of the xenophobic attack just the other day I saw um Ghanaian two ladies they were crying that they shouldn't show their faces that they will go back to to Ghana they were um I think they they were confronted by duda leader queen Victoria and she was like you She needs to go. You guys should hold your Ghana government accountable, right? I'm actually very shocked, guys.

[00:16:12]I am totally very shocked to find out that only out of the whole thing, only one, not even up to 10, let's manage 290. Are these guys not scared of this whole thing that is going on in Ghana?

[00:16:26]Because with the way Ziggy, Jinta, Queen V, and others have been screaming that 30th June will be deadly. That that's the deadline. I thought that these guys would would embrace the opportunity also considering what they did for Asamoa Emmanuel. They state the guy up.

[00:16:42]They made him they gave him accommodation accommodation. They set up a cement deport business for him. He's bowling very well now in Ghana. Please Ghana foreign affairs himself should make this guy rich because for him to come out shows that he's a true patriotic Ghanaian that he loves his country very well because I don't understand only one Ghanaian showed up.

[00:17:01]For me, I feel like the only reason why it's just one person is because the information was not prop passed properly. Maybe the information was not passed across properly because there is no way only one person will come back.

[00:17:12]Maybe I would have managed maybe 50 I'll be like okay but not one. That is actually very shocking to me and I know a lot of people have been shocked. Some of them are dragging them and they felt like they are being wasteful. They are wasting the government's money because it's not cheap for you to send down rescue flights rescue flights all the way from Ghana, South Africa. They're not going to pay dime and also promise them a lot of benefits if they come back to Ghana willingly. This is a country that has the interest of his people at heart. This is what we Nigerians are not even privileged to get because no one is sending rescue flight down for Nigerians in Ghana. But then Ghanaians that have rescue flights are still not yielding to the whole thing. You guys have yourself to blame because Ghanaians are saying that if you get attacked massively, they will not talk to you anymore. You you had the time they announced it they gave um stipulated time you would have embraced the time and returned back today flight came nobody was found only one person.
