[00:00:00]Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. I am Jack Hutter here with today's VU TV weather update. Weather headlines for today. There is a frost advisory tonight, chilly Saturday, tomorrow, but we finally get that warmup on Sunday.

[00:00:15]Current radar. We were dry. Now clouds are starting to move in from the northwest, bringing a couple light showers, some drizzle, maybe an isolated heavier shower. Really no thunderstorms at all. It's just too cold for that. But getting some rain, more widespread rain out here to the west of Chicago, but here in northwest Indiana, some clouds, a couple drizzles and rain showers.

[00:00:39]Current temps and conditions just alluded to it, but it is cold. 47° here in Velpo. Really not getting much over 50 anywhere in northwest Indiana and in Indiana at all. The warmer temperatures right now are located to the southwest of Chicago with a high of 54 in Peru, 51 in Pontiac. So, there may be a little warm, but everywhere is really seeing cooler temperatures than we've had in a very long time. This is the coldest day we've had in a while in those upper 40s. Current wind speeds really winds not too strong anywhere.

[00:01:13]Some stronger winds here on this band, but in in region, but really in Velpo, 10 miles an hour, everything's coming from the north, maybe a little bit northwest, mainly from the north. Now, with that rain coming in again, cooler temperatures over the lake, they push down and that is what is giving us those cool temperatures for today. Future temps and radars talked about that frost advisory a minute ago. Here's why.

[00:01:37]getting down into that 32 under freezing range in some areas. Going to produce the frost advisory, a chance for them things to freeze. So you have those flowers kind of moving up. Might want to bring some of those potted plants inside as we watch out for that those freezing temperatures tonight overnight. Warms up though on Saturday, 53. No real chance of rain. Maybe a few clouds here and there. We do get back up into the 50s.

[00:02:01]So a little bit warmer than today, which is nice overnight. Not too cold there tomorrow night. Then Sunday morning, watching a chance for a rain shower to move through. 50° at 8:30. But it's a warm Sunday. Getting at the potential 70. I think it's going to be a little lower. Expecting maybe more of a mid60s feel here, but still nice temperatures from the 47. You're back into the 60s by Sunday and warm on Monday. Looking ahead, it's cold tonight. A low of 32 degrees. Mainly clear. No chance of any rain or snow. Thank gosh. Um, northeast winds 5 to 10 mph miles hour tonight.

[00:02:40]Tomorrow, high of 53. Not super warm, but also not super cool. Partly cloudy.

[00:02:45]Winds 10 to 15 mph. Nothing really to worry about there. 7-day forecast. Just talked about it. 53 on Saturday. Sunday 62. And then some clouds. Potential for some rain here and there on Sunday.
