Google seeks EPA approval to release infected mosquitoes in California and Florida

[00:00:22]Uh that's when the infected males mate, the eggs won't hatch since only female mosquitoes bite humans. The release is not believed to increase the number of biting mosquitoes. Mosquito control officials in the Florida Keys says similar strategies have worked in the past and helped reduce dependence on pesticides. Right now, the plan still needs the go-ahead from the EPA.
