When one partner earns significantly more than the other, a 50/50 split of household expenses may not be fair; the higher earner should either contribute proportionally more to shared expenses or provide additional financial support to the lower earner's personal spending fund to compensate for the disproportionate burden they are bearing.

Fair is fair #russellhartley追加:
My husband wants me to pay 50% of our bills, but he earns four times more than me. Any advice for that? Just say, "How is this fair?"
Say, "Is he also going to take some of his additional earnings and contribute it to your own personal spending fund because his money disproportionately outweighs your ability to contribute, you see? So, if he's going to say you got to pay for half these lights, half this water, half this rent, and he's paying for half, he had his spending power is significantly more than you.
Not only because you earn more, but because you're subsidizing half of his costs. All right? So, it's only fair that he either gives you additional money in your own bank account in consideration of your subsidy, okay? Or he can give you some sort of credit for your value and your your proportion that you're alleviating from him. Don't you see? Because of the the disparity between y'all. That's only fair. It's not fair for you to have to take half of your income that it then is you're left with whatever's left, and then subsidize half of his living.
Don't you think? Okay? So, he should give you some credits. All right? That's the deal.
Um because it's a disproportionate amount that he makes compared to you.
And but it's still part of your same household household income. We to which you're entitled to, by the way, if that's your husband. So.
I'm not a lawyer or your lawyer, so consult your lawyer, but any reasonable man should see that.
And if he doesn't, you can make him sleep on the couch, so.
