[00:00:19]How about things that you cannot see, but you can feel?

[00:00:24]These are examples of what we are going to study today. Do you have an idea?

[00:00:31]I guess you're right. It's called matter.

[00:00:35]And matter is anything that occupy space and has mass. Meaning, everything around us is matter.

[00:00:46]This matter are actually made of particles.

[00:00:50]These particles are called molecules.

[00:00:54]To define, these are tiny particles that made up matter.

[00:00:59]And they come in different arrangement depending on their state.

[00:01:06]As I have mentioned, matter comes in different states and these are solid, liquid, and gas. So, it's now time to discuss them one by one.

[00:01:18]Let's start with solid.

[00:01:22]This is how molecules of solid looks like. Therefore, the molecules of solid move very slowly and are very close together.

[00:01:35]And that, solid have definite shape, size, and volume.

[00:01:43]Here are examples of solid.

[00:01:45]Rosary, crown, medallion, candle, and a figurine of Mama Mary.

[00:01:58]What do you notice about my examples?

[00:02:08]It's because it's the month of September. We are actually celebrating her birthday, September 8th.

[00:02:32]Now, let's proceed to the second state of matter, which is liquid. Let's describe first its molecules.

[00:02:40]As you can see, they are not as tightly as for solid because molecules are far from each other and are not tightly close, so they can flow.

[00:02:53]To really define liquid, they have definite volume but do not have definite shape and size. Instead, they follow the container. Remember that their molecules are flowing.

[00:03:09]For the examples, we have soy sauce, ketchup, shampoo, vinegar, and lotion.

[00:03:22]What do you notice on my last example of lotion?

[00:03:26]Do you know that during this months of rainy season, there are so many mosquitoes?

[00:03:32]So, remember to protect yourselves from them by applying mosquito repellent lotions. This is for you to avoid having dengue as well.

[00:03:43]And for the last state of matter, let's have gas. Let's observe its molecules.

[00:03:54]Yes, they are scattered distantly from each other.

[00:04:00]And to define gas, it has no definite size, shape, and volume. Instead, it follows its container.

[00:04:12]And for the examples, we have clouds, sun, wind, steam, air inside a balloon, and fire.
