DFW Weather: Heavy rain and thunderstorms through Memorial Day WeekendAdded:
Mix in a little bourbon. I'll die right on TV. Let me show you this. I'm giving the kids their forecast tomorrow. Now, there's I think uh what do we have here?
So, we're going with Allan to start.
Okay. Sandra Turner has been a producer here longer than Cynthia has been alive.
And her kids are one of her kids is graduating from high school tomorrow.
So, and she told me there's like 13,522 kids graduating from Allen High School tomorrow at Eagle Stadium. Sandra, kids, there's some rain around the graduation's tomorrow night at the stadium. It's not a great chance, but there is a chance. You know, uh, Burkner had graduation tonight, and some rain fell there at that graduation. It's possible again tomorrow night.
Temperatures not bad, but there is a chance of rain. 7:00 p.m., 8:00 p.m., hopefully dry by 9, but again, 7:30 is graduation. 8:00 tomorrow night in Richardson at Ram Stadium, Wildcat Ram Stadium. There's a chance of rain tomorrow night, 7:30, 8:00. It's a possibility as we head through this one.
And then Saturday morning, same place.
Lake Highlands is graduating at Wildcat Ram Stadium, there's a chance of some showers on even in the morning. So throughout the day tomorrow and even into the evening hours and then on Saturday, Sunday, and even on Monday, there's a chance of rain each and every day. Congratulations in advance to all the kids graduating uh tomorrow, this weekend, and even some next week as well. Okay, out there right now, we have some showers out there. The thunderstorms have started to fizzle out. One little maybe one little strike of lightning between Arlington and Fort Worth. That's about it right now. As we take a wider look at all of North Texas, a nice little moderate to light rain here in East Texas. Overnight tonight, we kind of dry out a little bit. It's not 100% dry. I'll keep about 10 20% of a scene rain as we head through the overnight. There's tomorrow. And as we head through the afternoon, I have some showers in the morning, maybe a rumble or two or three of thunder in the afternoon. There's 3:00 p.m. There's 400 p.m. 5:00 p.m. 6:00 p.m. 7:00 p.m.
There's zero severe weather in my forecast tomorrow. That doesn't mean we won't have some lightning. That doesn't mean we could have some gusty winds. But tomorrow, the rain tomorrow, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, won't be as widespread as what we had today. If that gives you a little indication as to way things are going to shape up, similar rainfall rates as well. It'll rain just as hard or just as light as what we had today. And many locations today didn't see rain. And I think more locations over the weekend will not see rain. So, my coverage today was 50 60%. This weekend it's around 20 to 30%. So there you go. And that means that 70 to 80% if you won't see any rain this weekend, but those that locations that do, you could have some brief heavy rain. 7:00 tomorrow night, then it all starts to fizzle out as we head through the time frame. So rain coverage on Friday is about 20%. Saturday, the holiday weekend, Saturday's 30% coverage, 20% coverage on Sunday, 20% coverage on Monday. And high temperatures, they will be cooler than normal. Four degrees cooler than normal tomorrow. Three cooler than normal Saturday. Four cooler than normal Sunday. And on Memorial Day, four degrees cooler when we hit 83. And then we stay cooler and cooler than normal uh than normal on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week. Okay. My forecast tonight, patchy fog, scattered light rain tonight. 68 is the low during the day tomorrow. Lee, how much time do I have? 82 degrees. That's the high temperature tomorrow. Mostly cloudy skies, isolated rain as we head through the day tomorrow. There's the next 14 days. I keep a little rain in the forecast each and every day through the holiday weekend. I even have a little rain in my forecast Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of next week. Then we have a couple of days without rain, then a couple more days with rain in that 14-day forecast. But really, as we look at all 14 days there, I don't have any uh temperatures that are warmer than normal. I don't have any 90°ree temperatures in the forecast. So, the weather actually looks pretty
