According to Wilhelm Wundt, a German psychologist and father of modern psychology, there exists an optimal challenge level that maximizes engagement and learning; when tasks are too easy, they become boring, while tasks that are too difficult become unpleasant, but when the challenge is just right, it engages our full attention and enables us to learn about the world.

The Right Challenge #shorts #explore追加:
Is there a sweet spot in the effort continuum between like doing like literally sitting on the couch and doing nothing and but it's too hard you actually can't do it and it's destructive. I mean we can all imagine situations that are like okay this isn't challenging this is just suicide right?
And so there's a guy back in the in the 1800s a psychologist named Wilhelm Wundt who is a a German psychologist he was one of the fathers of modern psychology and he proposed this sort of general relationship between how much we enjoy something and how kind of intense or complex or difficult the stimulus is.
And it's basically a kind of looks like kind of like a bell curve. If something's really easy or obvious or predictable boring. Mhm. If something is totally incomprehensible totally impossible uh we find that unpleasant.
>> Right.
>> But in the middle there's a sweet spot where basically we have a challenge that engages us that keeps our full attention that enables us to learn about the world.
