When governments restrict entry or speech based on criticism of foreign governments, it raises fundamental questions about democratic freedoms and the conflation of anti-Semitism with legitimate political criticism; true free speech should allow citizens to criticize government actions without being labeled as hateful toward entire populations.

Hasan Piker & Cenk Uygur DENIED ENTRY Into The UK - VISAS REVOKED!Ajouté :
We've got Hassan and Chenkuger banned from entering the UK.
Unbelievable stories here. This while Iran is no longer opening the straighter Hamus because Israel just struck Lebanon again. It's all connected. It's complicated. Stick around here. We've got Chanker posting this yesterday. I've been banned from the UK. I tried to get on a flight to London to attend South by Southwest London and give a speech at Oxford. I've been banned for criticizing Israel. Are we free anymore? This is oppression of Western citizens by our own governments on behalf of a different country. I'm going to share what Chenk had to say when he went live after this and also what Hassan had to say. Now you're you might be wondering why would they ban be banned from the UK? Well, there are advocacy groups, if that's what you want to call them, uh supporting Israel that are calling folks like Chank and Hassan anti-Semitic because they don't support the war. We saw the same thing happen to Miss Rachel. Can you believe that? They came for Miss Rachel. There were quote unquote advocacy groups coming for her because she was saying we shouldn't be killing children. They were actually trying to get her investigated for terrorism. I mean, it's just insane what's going on. And it is an attack.
It's happening right now. You've got folks in the UK calling it out. But have a listen. This is what's going on. Uh we are literally trying to have a peace deal. We enter a war in Iran. I say we, the United States, Donald Trump. A war war nobody voted for. Iran grabs us by the balls, closes the straight, gas prices are skyrocketing, and any attempt to end this war is met with escalation from Israel. We have Joe Kent, who was the highest ranking official to uh resign because of this war. Then Tulsi Gabber did, but she claims it was because her husband has cancer, which might be true, but she didn't resign when she should have. And Joe Kent is saying Israel is going to continue to escalate. We need to think for ourselves, declare victory, and get out.
Now, it's obviously not a victory. It's one of the greatest sort of military blunders we've ever had, which has led to over a dozen Americans killed. Uh, and we've got new attacks happening quite literally daily. We're not getting this information. American bases are being struck all across the Middle East.
And now we've got Israel continuing to strike Lebanon. This is happening. We're calling it out. We're getting in trouble. uh Hassan who uh again Hassan who they said was going to be subpoenaed for his stay in Cuba although I don't think that subpoena ever went through. They're threatening folks free speech. He literally they threatened with a subpoena after he did a humanitarian mission to help people because our own country is blocking fuel from getting to Cuba where people are you know they need fuel uh to run generators and electricity and hospitals and uh old people's homes. I mean it's absolutely wild. So Chanker is the uncle to Hassan Hassan uh got his start uh working on The Young Turks, which is kind of like the oldest um sort of independent political show on the internet. It's been around forever.
Think what you want about them, but they have, you know, kind of complicated conversations that you're not going to hear on mainstream TV. And because of that, they just get called anti-semitic.
You cover these things, you get called anti-semitic. No matter how many times you say, "We're not talking about the people. We're talking about the government." government, a government that's literally just killed I mean, how many innocent lives in Gaza? Women, children, doctors, journalists. The UK has revoked my visa as well, says Hassan. All all at the behest of Israel.
The West is betraying liberal values for a genocidal fascist foreign government.
Soon we will all become Israel. There's also, and again, so much to to get into, but there's also information coming out that the United States military is going to be joining with the Israeli military, and we're we're obviously already using a lot of their technology. What does that look like when our um you know, when our spy organizations are using a foreign country's technology, that can't be good, right? That can't be, you know, that can't be at our best interest, right? Uh so here it is. And again, you've got folks all over. The Tennessee Holler is a Tennessee based progressive uh guy who covers this. So this isn't, you know, on one end they're trying to make this like some sort of like Muslim like hate the Jews type of argument, but no, this is like everybody's calling this out. The UK banning Chank and Hassan for Israel is an absurd attack on free speech. We'll only fment more actual anti-semitism. So I wanted to share just last year what Hassan had to say at the Oxford Union, which again is the same thing everyone's repeating over and over. We are not criticizing the people. We are criticizing the government. We should be able to criticize everything from the manager of our local sports team to the government we vote in. And we should be criticizing anyone who's sending our bombs to fight a war that we don't want to be a part of.
Anti-semitism is a canary in the coal mine of fascism. It's one of the oldest bigotries that has caused those of the Jewish faith a tremendous amount of pain. From prams to the holocaust, Jews have always been singled out by those in power as a scapegoat for instability and economic volatility people in power cause. A resilient nent anti-semitism is a constant threat, especially as economic instability makes those in power seek out old targets. They're not very creative. Usually, they just always rehash the same propaganda over and over again.
This is precisely the reason why I am terrified of the conflation of anti-ionism and anti-semitism. The conflation is dangerous.
Valid criticisms against the state, especially as all of the violence is unfolding and everyone can see it. um valid criticisms against the state committing these atrocities and tying it back to Judaism is a cynical ploy to stop all matter of of conversation is truly terrifying.
>> And look, I saw this play out firsthand with me. Folks accusing me of being anti-Semitic. Folks that believe that all Palestinians should be exterminated have called me anti-semitic.
I've seen it play out. They don't want a conversation. They want you to just go, "Oh my gosh, I'm so afraid to be called anti-semitic. I can't talk about this any longer." We've seen the images of body parts of children being picked up out of the rubble. We've seen our own president uh make these AI slop images of Trump Tower and, you know, creating a sort of a resort town in Gaza where they plan to literally bulldoze over all the records.
We've seen all of this. It's monstrous and we're not going to be quiet because of it. This is a really grim decision alongside Chank, says Zack Palansky.
People often talk about dangerous road we're going down under a reform government. This being the UK. This is another clear warning. We're down there already. So, here's what the the South by Southwest London had to say in a statement. Decisions on entry to the UK are a matter for the home office and the individuals concerned. South by Southwest London's role is to convene a broad range of diverse voices and perspectives. We remain focused on delivering a program this week fostering open dialogue and exchange of ideas featuring more than 800 speakers, artists, and screenings. Obviously, that's not going to happen if the people that are against a government going into war in Lebanon, again, they're they're going to say it's there. there to attack terrorist groups and yet they're quite literally blowing up um you know ancient ruins, ruins that have survived thousands of years, seeing the same thing play out where Israel and their government is trying to expand their border and doing so under the guise of stopping terrorism. But then why do we see Catholic churches getting blown up?
Why do we see so many innocent lives being lost over and over? Chank uh uh of course had a you know is is in his feelings about this. He's never shy about his emotions regarding being banned from the UK. Here's what he had to say. Who can you not criticize? You can't criticize the king. Right. That's the gravest offense. But apparently I can criticize the king. I can criticize the UK. I just can't criticize the actual king. Israel. Wait, is that anti-Semitic? But you just did it. You just did it. Are you going to say that it's anti-semitic to report the thing you just did banning me because the most powerful thing in the UK apparently is you is Israel because that's the one thing you can't criticize just like in the old days when you couldn't criticize the king. Here we go. The decision to block Yuger from traveling to the UK is understood to have been based on several grounds including fears that his presence would risk exasperating anti-semitism due to his rhetoric since the October 7th attacks in 2023. Can you hear how how like fears that his words will incite? I mean, how like fear like fears that his words will incite.
Meanwhile, our own president incited an insurrection. And what do we get out of it? A $ 1.776 billion slush fund, a participation trophy. Everyone who was a part of the insurrection. Oh, you beat a cop with a MAGA flag pole. Here's a couple million bucks. Meanwhile, Epstein files won't be released. probably because they show how closely Epstein was working with government agents in Israel to, you know, blackmail folks or for other governments. We just quite literally don't know and we can't be afraid to speculate. We do know that Epstein was working with a former prime minister of Israel. We've seen that from letters that have been published by Drop Site News. Very credible stuff. So again, this idea that your words, it's like no, the the the only thing that's leading to a rise in anti-semitism are the people that can't understand that the government who's committing these atrocities, Israel, is not the people of Israel. And that's what you quite literally can't conflate. Just like I'm not responsible for my president killing 200 girls in Iran, I would hope that Iranians don't want to hurt me knowing that we're part of a resistance like most of our country is. So, it's a tight needle to thread. We will continue to thread it and not be banned.
>> Wait, what rhetoric? Since the October 7th attacks in the after the October 7 attacks, I was outraged. You can go back and watch the tapes. I thought it was a terrible thing to do. I we're for all nonviolence and nonviolence on all sides. We're for peace for all sides.
And I and that should clear it up. There you go. And I would say the same thing.
Hamas committed a deadly tragedy, a terror attack on October 7th. That like everybody agrees on that. You're not I mean you might find some fringe crazy person that doesn't, but that can all exist. And it also can be true that the 50 to 100 thousand or more innocent lives that Israel has have murdered in Gaza also happened and now in Lebanon and continue to happen in Gaza as they continue to push people further and further away from their from from where they live. Sniper attacks hitting kids in the head. Again, like this is there are no journalists allowed in Gaza. You can't even get a flotillaa of diapers to enter Gaza without them being hijacked.
This reality we live in is dangerous and watching other countries succumb to those pressures is wild. We talked about the 36 kids killed and what an outrage it was. So, I'm outraged by the 36 kids getting killed. They're outraged by it.
Great, great, wonderful. Although apparently they're lying about what I've said. I don't know if they were making a reference October 7th overall, but it just or everything I have said since then, I mean, sight unseen, voice unheard, every single thing since then is apparently an outrage and, you know, and a threat to the public good. So, okay, but so we're all outraged by the 36 kids who needlessly died in Israel.
23,000 have died in Gaza. Are you outraged by that? No, apparently not.
They're like, "Oh, you you could be in favor of that and we'll roll out the red carpet for you."
>> And and guys, it's so exhausting because then when you try to help uh provide attention to the kids in Gaza, then you have a bunch of people that are like sort of brainwashed saying, "Well, what about everyone in Sudan?" And then it becomes a what about every kid that's starving in the world? And we say, "Well, yes, but also what's happening in Gaza? and might as well have an American flag slapped on the bomb or slapped on the drone because we give them the money and we and and because we give them the money, we have a moral responsibility to say enough is enough. It's a country, Israel is a country that has better social welfare programs for their people. They do not need our money today or yesterday or any day moving forward.
And that's why we're only going to be voting for politicians who agree on this. agree that look, we need to fix our roads, our bridges, our healthcare, our people. We at the very least don't need our money to be going to cause more damage, whether it be damage from those bombs in Gaza or damage in Iran from the uh the school girl um the the the school that we blew to pieces with our bomb literally said made in Colorado or where that wherever the hell it came from.
Like, we don't need the the blood on our hands, this spreading democracy we say we're doing. And again, as Hassan Pikrite said, it's the same propaganda over and over. Uh the same people that said that um who uh you know uh uh uh former leaders were, you know, getting uh nukes in Iraq, they're the same leaders that are saying they're getting nukes in Iran. It's the same over and over and we're done with it.
We're all done with it. The propaganda doesn't work anymore. It used to have to be some like quack sort of like fringe person. It's like, "Oh, that we're killing the kids." And I was like, "We get that now. We all understand. So now Fox News is calling Hassan anti-Semitic for calling out Jewish groups that got him blocked from going to the UK. Did that make your head explode? That's right. Hassan saying, "I was banned because Jewish groups stood up in the UK and didn't want me there." And now Fox News is saying, "Oh, you're going to blame the Jews again." He goes, "No, very specifically, yes, the Jewish groups are stopping me from coming there." It's insane. It's insane that that's sort of the like the angle of the culture war that that Fox wants to take. Boy, and again, like we're just watching people be on the wrong side of history. Don't forget when Rome was collapsing, emperors would use gladiator fights to distract the people from the corruption of the state. And there it is, of course, constructing the uh big MMA fight. They're going to be beating their meat in front of uh a bunch of soldiers there in front of the White House. What a wild time to be alive. So again, um this story is interesting. Who else will be banned? I have plans to head to Europe. Am I next? Will I have to get to the airport to find out if I'm allowed entry because I believe we shouldn't be killing babies?
I think most people are on the right side of history on this one, just not in our government. And that's because they're funded by organizations that want us to turn a blind eye. We won't do that. Hit the subscribe button if you haven't already. We got more coming your way right after
