I've got incredible mommies that all speak English and we've made baby friends and mommy friends and it's [music] honestly changed pretty much the way I see Germany. I've got lots of new friends thanks [music] to Link and Learn. Uh, Lincoln Learn changed everything for me here because it allowed me to share my talents with children and adults and it allowed me to become a bit more familiar with people socially in in uh in Frankfurt.
>> It's just a [music] space where I can be really at my comfortable and at ease.
Uh, and it's a time Eliza [music] feels at ease. She's running around and she's learning so much. So, thank you very [music] much.
>> Being away from home makes me very homesick. But whenever I come to Lincoln with my kids, I'm meet the most amazing mothers also feeling the same and it feels a lot like home. We couldn't be happier to find something where we can come together, speak English, [music] be with other people in our similar circumstance. And >> we love Lincoln. We found Lincoln Land and it was amazing. So, thank you so much.
>> It's a wonderful community. I don't think I could have survived the last year being a mom without Lincoln. It's quite difficult to arrive in a new place, in a new country with our family and to build new friends here. It's so easy and um we're very happy being here and it's just been a great community and a great place to come to. What I love about Link and Learn, apart from the fact [music] that it's my daughter's favorite class, is the fact that uh Ray's got a real community here. I've made loads of friends here. My daughter's made loads of friends, and we all just hang out and have fun. Ray even managed to get me to sing You're the sunshine [music] in my mind.
Is it okay?
[music] my mind.
You want to make me s Let me feel Let me When you [music] move like don't stop, don't talk. Just [music] feel me.

That's it.
[laughter] >> Come to Lincoln. We miss you.
>> [cheering] >> Wow.
Welcome to our summer show and tell [music] 2021, the dream edition. It's so awesome to have you with us on a sunny day. You're here in a dark room.
[screaming] Woo. [cheering] For those of you who don't know me, my name is Don Kim and I'm the founder and CEO of Lincoln Learn. Who hasn't seen this video? Raise your hand if you haven't seen the video before.
Oh, just just a few of you. I'm sure many of you have already seen this video many many times. But you know what? As for me, I watched this video gazillion times. But you know the funny thing is every time I watch this video, I get super emotional in the backstage. I was feeling super emotional as well.
You know, in the beginning of 2020, Lincoln [music] learn was doing really well without me trying so [music] hard.
The classes are really full. The community was growing.
and everything felt somewhat really stable back then. We're renting a few rooms from [music] a community center near our place. And because we're sharing the rooms with everybody else, every time we had Lincoln learn, we had to set everything up and pack everything down.
I'm sure Mariah remembers those times, right? Mariah, where is she? Where's my daughter? Oh, she's in the backstage.
[music] It was a hard work but slowly I felt like [music] the place we were in was getting a little tight for us and in addition [music] I started to have this desire in my heart to create link and learn [music] with the look and feel of Lincoln and Learn. I imagined orange walls everywhere. I imagined photos on the walls, you know, all of our walls and also our logo [music] on the wall as well. But since I love being in my comfort [music] zone, I wanted to kind of ignore that feeling. But like it or not, [music] I saw myself collecting photos of future Lincoln Learn on Pinterest and every single morning. [music] I prayed over that and I stare and visualized how link and learn would become [music] in the future.
That's amazing, right? Visualization.
Then COVID came. [music] I don't know if you remember in October 2021 right in the middle of the pandemic [music] the owner of the building told us to leave.
[music] At that time I was mentally a little bit stressed out and emotionally also very tired. [music] So I thought to myself maybe this is it. Maybe this really is the sign. [music] It should be the end of Link and Learn.
This could have been the end of the story for Link and Learn. [music] But as you know, the story continues.
Then I went to my friend's place. She was one of the moms from Lincoln and Learn. I went to her and I said, [music] "They told us to leave." And she looked at me as if she knew about everything and she's like, "Really? Okay, let me just check something."
>> [music] >> and she went to Immobilian Scout and within three minutes she found [music] the building we are in right now.
And when she showed me the photos of the building, [music] I was not I was not interested at all because the building looked quite old [music] and it looked really ugly. I mean, you know what I'm talking about.
The the our current building [music] from the outside is not that pretty, right? But something she said, I will never forget. She said, [music] "Rehon, look, I'm a builder's daughter. Don't look at the building the way it is. Look at the potential [music] of the building."
As she as soon as she said it, I [music] felt like some sort of like a veil came out my eyes and I could totally see it.
I could [music] visualize it. And the craziest thing actually happened the next day.
I went to [music] Lincoln Learn. I gathered my team together and I said, "Guys, we're moving April 2020 [music] 2021 into the new building." And I got my ladies together. Do you remember, Patricia? I'm like, "Ladies, we're moving. Term two, 2021 will take place in the new building." The funny thing is, nobody nobody questioned. Nobody asked any questions. Every everybody said, "Yeah, yeah, it's happening.
[music] Yes, yes, yes." And guess what?
In April 2021, Link and Lur moved into our new building. Round of applause. Come on.
This is the power of visualization.
This is the power of speaking life into your future. [music] Today's theme is my dream.
Regardless of how small or big your dream may be, [music] I really want to encourage you. Keep visualizing. Keep speak life into your future [music] because Walt Disney said, "If you can dream it, you can [music] do it." So keep visualiz visualizing and keep speaking [music] life into your future.
So Lincolner family, in order for us to put together a show like this, it takes a lot of effort, [music] a lot of hard work. And so I just really want to honor some people who really made this show possible. Can I ask our dream team, our production team, our family helpers?
Helpers mean that if you bake, if you cooked, if you did anything, you have to [music] stand up. Come on, don't be shy.
Stand up. Come [screaming] on. Come on.
Yes. Stand up.
Phillip, you too. Stand up. Stand up.
These are the people who made this show possible. I couldn't do anything on my own, but they made it possible. So, let's give them a big round of applause.
Woo.
You may sit down. I just wanted to highlight two people here today. Um, Alena is in the back doing AV for the first time.
Let's give her a big round of applause.
Thomas's mom and Ezra. Ezra in the back.
He's been doing sound for the past five years and today will be his last one.
A but tell him come back. [screaming] So Ezra thank you so much for your all your hard work. You are just absolutely amazing. Thank you so much. Thank you.
And I also would like to yeah everyone big round of applause to Ezra.
Amazing.
And also I don't know if you know Florian. Can you please stand up? It's difficult to not see him, right?
[laughter] Florian is the pastor of Urban Life Church, this venue, and he's for the for the past years, he has been incredibly generous, letting us use his building.
And also yesterday, he came and supported us. You are so amazing, Florian. We love you so much. And thank you so much. Big round of applause.
Also in the back, Florian even brought his son. Oh my goodness, he's only 13.
He's so fit to do everything. Now we we've got the fog machine going on as well. Thank you so much.
Lastly, I just wanted to say I want to give big praise and honor to my Jesus [music] and my savior. He is the source of my strength and my joy. and knowing him, it really is the best thing that really happened in my [music] life. So, Lincoln learn family, I just wanted to encourage you. Keep dreaming, keep [music] believing, and keep showing up no matter how you feel because the dreams you may feel impossible today can become the [music] stories you tell tomorrow. So, enjoy the show.
One more thing from my end.
Okay. In the past, Lincoln learns show and tells, I realize that you guys are a little passive [music] when it comes to you just sit there and watch. That's what Germans do.
Sorry if you're German. [laughter] Sorry, Florian. You're German. Okay.
Today, you're not here to be passive.
You're here to be an active audience.
Okay.
>> What do you do when people are on stage?
Kids are thrilled when they hear [screaming] Okay, you you might not be able to do it like as loud as I do, but you have to shout out your children's name. Okay, we're filming. Everything will be live streamed, so you can go back and look at the video. Watch the video. Okay, so today, what are you doing? [cheering] >> Okay, let's let's practice. One, two, three. [cheering] That's it. I want to see this happening throughout the entire show. All right.
Okay. Now give a big round of applause to all our children who's able who's going to start. Enjoy the show.
>> [singing] [music] >> When Lincoln Learn first began, Rayo never imagined the classes would one day be for children older than 10. Back then, it was a place for little ones, including her own daughter. But children grow faster than we expect. And just as her daughter grew, so did many of the other kids who have been part of [music] Lincoln Learn for almost eight years.
Now, as they enter the pre-teen and teen years, the challenges are different.
school pressures, shifting friendships, and the ups and downs of growing up.
That's why Lincoln Learn also grew to create a safe space for them. A place where they are accepted, loved, and surrounded by incredible friends who lift them up. And as these children continue to grow, Lincoln Learn is here to walk alongside them, building confidence through public speaking, dancing, theater, art, preparing them for their future while reminding them they will never walk alone. We are grateful to be part of your family's journey here in Frankfurt. Because at Lincoln Learn, it's not just about learning. It's about belonging.
>> This is like Learn. We are so grateful to be a part of it.
>> [screaming] >> When we were little, people asked us a question.
>> What do you want to be when you grow up?
And when you're little, the answers are easy.
>> Cuz when you're little, anything feels possible.
When I was little, I wanted to be a chemist. My friend's mom was a chemist, and I thought that was amazing. Mixing things, discovering things, understanding how the world works. Now, I'm not completely sure yet. But I still love science, and I love asking questions. And maybe that's where dreams start.
When I was little, I wanted to be a vet.
I want to top animals, especially the ones who can't tell us what's wrong. Now I think maybe science or biology because the world is full of living things who need people who care.
>> When I was little, I wanted to be a doctor. Now a vet because helping people matters, but helping animal matters too.
Sometimes dreams changes, but the reason behind them stays the same.
When I was little, I wanted to be a lot of things. I wanted to be a doctor, an orthodontist, a YouTuber, a singer, a K-pop idol, um the CEO of Link and Learn, and maybe even Angela Mel, but like not the legit one. Now, I'm not sure. I still love singing and I still love dancing. Maybe I'll be a YouTuber. Or maybe something creative like a nail tech that gives out free pancakes.
Or maybe I'll be the boss of Lincoln Learn. I mean, I still plan on taking over, right?
>> Right now, I'm still figuring that out.
When I was little, I thought about helping people. Maybe a manager, but obviously not the bossy kind. Maybe a psychologist, someone who listens, someone who understands. Because sometimes the most important thing you can really give someone is to hear them.
And this class and the important people in my life helped me feel that too.
>> When I was little, I wanted to be an explorer or an astronaut. I wanted to be the first one on Mars. I wanted to see things no one had ever seen before.
Now I still think about the future. I worry about the future. I think about the people I look up to the most and how they look at the world, how they make a difference. Because I think about who I want to become.
Because for me, it's not what I become more important, but who I become.
>> [cheering] >> Um, growing up is strange >> because suddenly >> the world feels bigger >> and sometimes a little scarier. We hear about wars.
>> We hear about the environment.
>> We hear about problems we didn't know about when we were little.
>> And sometimes we wonder, will the future be okay?
But dreaming doesn't mean ignoring the world.
>> Dreaming means believing we can make it better. Maybe we will become scientists >> or vets >> or singers >> or explorers or something we haven't even imagined yet. And this class reminds us that we don't have to dream alone.
I can almost see it. That dream [music] I'm dreaming. But there's a voice inside my head [music] saying you'll never [singing] reach it. Every step I'm taking.
Every move I make feels lost [music and singing] with no direction.
My faith is shaking, but I I got to keep [singing] trying.
Got to keep my head held high. [singing] There's going to be another [music] mountain. Always going to want to make a move. Always going to be an uphill [music] battle. Sometime going to have to lose. Think about [music] how fast I get there. Here I was waiting [singing] on the other side.
[music] Here's a cling.
[music] There [singing] I'm taking some [music] might knock me down, but no, I'm not breaking.
I don't [music] know it, but this is the moment that I'm going to [music] remember. Oh, yeah.
I got [music] to keep strong.
[music] Always going to want to make it through. Always going to be an [singing] uphill battle. Sometimes going to have to lose. Ain't about [music] how fast I get a way [music and singing] in.
[music] Stay hard. Keep going. When you're afraid, be brave and never [music] climb alone.
[music] It's always going to be another mountain. [music] Always going to want to make it move.
Oh, it's going to be an uphill battle.
I have [singing] to lose. Ain't about how fast I get it.
>> Ain't about what's [music] waiting on the other [singing] side in the cloud.
[music and singing] [music] Our dreams [music] might change, our path might change, the world might change.
But when we think we'll keep trying, we'll keep hoping. And this is what dreams are made of.
>> Great job.
Have you ever seen such [music] a beautiful night?
I could almost kiss the stars [music] shining so bright.
When I see you smiling as I go, oh, I [music] would never want to miss this.
Cuz in my heart I know [music] what this is. Hey now. Hey now, this is what dreams [music] are made of.
Hey now. Hey now. This is what dreams [music] are made of. I've got somewhere I belong.
I've got somebody to love. This is my dream.
I'm made of [music] This is my dream.
Have you ever wondered what life is [music] about?
You could search the world and never figure it out.
You don't have to [music] stare the oceans.
No, no, no.
[music] Happiness is a mystery. And here and now, it's you and me. Yeah. Hey now.
[music] Hey now. This is what dreams are made of. [music] Hey now. Hey now. This is what dreams [music] are made of. I've got somewhere I belong.
I've got somebody to love. This is my dream.
I'm made of.
[cheering] >> What would you say if I say that I like reading books more than doing homework?
>> Hello, my name is Mercy and I'm 11 years old. Today I want to show you my dream.
>> Dream is to become an author. [music] Ever since I was a baby, I love reading.
Later with 7 years old, we began [music] to write stories too. Before I had a lot of dreams, a teacher, a designer, and lots more. But I thought [music] maybe because I love writing stories and reading, I'll become an author. I have doubts because you can do a lot wrong.
But deep in my heart, I think maybe I'm going to get my dream very far. I got inspirations from everywhere [music] to write stories from every kind of museum, from home or the airport. I love reading so much because [music] you can put so much creativity and you can imagine everything in your own way [music] what you just read. I love both things so much and that's why I decided maybe I'll be an author. Maybe I'm going to change my mind. But right now I like my dream and I hope one day [music] my dream will become true.
>> [applause and cheering] [cheering] [music] [cheering] [applause] >> Every day [music] I grow [singing] a little bit. There isn't any way of stopping it. My jeans are [singing] too small cuz I've grown so every [singing] day I grow a little [music] bit.
Every day I grow a little bit. There isn't any of it. My nails need a clip.
My [music] hair needs a snip.
Every day I grow a little bit.
[cheering] [crying] >> [music] >> Woohoo! Woo!
[music] >> [music] >> Hey, [music] hey, [music] hey.
>> [music] >> Never forget those endless [music] years.
Street time swirling through my mind.
Trouble was often [music] in the air.
[music] >> [music] >> Every animal needs a hair. Could it be me? Hi, my name is Eileen and I'm 8 years old. My dream started when I was tiny. Since I was a baby, I liked all the animals, ladybugs, [music] cats, rabbits, sheep, dogs, and so on. At the age of 2 years and a half, I had a puppy named Susie. [snorts] She was adorable, kind, and energetic. She was all the time playing and staying next to me. She was my best friend. I remember when she had a small scratch on her ear and instead of being scared, I felt a strange sense of calm. I wanted to help.
In that moment, I knew I wanted to take care of animals forever and to become a vet. And that was the beginning of my dream.
Every animal needs a hair. Could it be Yeah.
[music] Hallelujah. [music] >> [music] [music] >> Elvira, it's your turn [music] to perform. form. If you're here in the audience, we need you.
[music] Oh, dance.
>> [music] [music] >> Be careful making wishes in a dark sides in the mean meime. I'm just dreaming [music] of tearing you apart.
I'm in the deep tears with a devil. The world can never get me on my Oh, I just got to get you off the [music] cage. I'm a young lover's age. Going to need a spark to ignite. My souls know what you [music] did in the dark.
So light up. Light them [music] up.
Light them up. I'm fire. So light up.
[music] Light them up. I'm fire.
>> [music] >> I just keep fighting [music] with it.
Somewhere another pretty angle [music] to everything except for me.
constellation of tears on your [music] love and burn the ashes my childhood.
Monster that you see my souls know what shooting [music] in the dark.
[music] [music] Heat. Heat.
[music] [music] >> [cheering] >> My songs know what you did. I know.
[cheering] So light up. [music] Light them up.
Light them up.
>> [music] >> Heat. Heat.
Oh, [music] sometimes [music] it goes to you.
[music] Heat.
Heat.
[music] [music] Remember me for centuries [music] singing dreams. Nothing wrong with me.
The [music] kids are all wrong. The stories are wrong. Heavy met.
[music] I never meant for [music] you to fix yourself.
Heat. Heat.
[music] Heat. Heat. [music] [music] Remember [music] me till the whole world knows [music] my name. Cuz I was only born inside my dreams. I'm changing. As long [cheering] as there's a light shadow over you cuz I am What?
[cheering] I mean, Do you ever feel like a plastic bag drifting through the wind wanting to start again? Do you ever feel so crein?
[music] Do you ever feel already buried deep, 6 feet under screens and no one seems to hear a thing? Do you know that [music] there's still a chance for you? Cuz there's a spark in you. You just got to ignite the light [music] and let it shine.
Just [music] the night like the fire of light. Baby, you're a [music] come.
Make them go as you shoot across the sky.
Baby, you're [music] let go.
You going to leave [music] them all.
You don't have to feel like the wasted space. Your original cannot be replaced.
If [music] you only knew what the future holds. After a hurricane comes a rainbow. Maybe a reason why [music] all the doors are closed. So you could open one that leads you to the perfect road. Like a lightning bolt, your heart [music] will blow. And when it's time to go, you just got to deny the light and let it shine. [music] Just the night of July. [music] Cuz baby, you're fire.
>> [music] >> your words. Make them go as you shoot across the sky. [music] >> Got to get [cheering] that. Got to get that. Got to get that. Got to get that.

[cheering] What a great show has been so far. I'm Kira and I've been [music] with Lincoln since the very beginning.
Being here today brings back so many memories from past show and tells. I remember one show and tell I was in the dance class. We were performing it's a hard dog life and there was a lot of kicking in the choreography.
On the day of, I decided to wear flats.
So whenever I would kick, [music] my shoe would go flying off.
But because I had a confidence built up from previous show and [music] tells and because I knew Lincoln number was a safe space, I just grabbed my shoe and kept going.
This confidence never stopped [music] growing and growing and growing. and I've been able to perform on so many stages because of it.
Show and tell has been so beneficial in my life and I've enjoyed always enjoyed being a part of them. I would pout when my mom said it was [music] time to leave after the show cuz I still wanted to goof off with my friends or I remember one time [music] I had to um I had to miss the show and tell due to co it was so sad for me but I love show and tell and I always loved coming here and being a part of them. I would never want to miss one.
As you know, um, a lot of shows like this may charge admission, but we don't.
Our main focus is [music] to create a space that is welcoming and safe for everyone where children can come and be themselves.
And yet, there's still expenses [music] that need to be covered. In a moment, my friends from Stage Harmony will come around with donation boxes.
I ask you to give generously, to consider giving generously so we can continue to create these amazing events and to [music] a safe place for everyone. Thank you so much and have a great rest of the show.
[cheering] It's a beautiful day today.
>> Who wants to sing?

When I was younger, I had so many dreams. I wanted to be a YouTuber, a doctor, [music] a chancellor, an actor, the CEO of Link and Learn, and [music] many more. Cuz I wasn't sure. But I had one specific [music] dream I kept close to my heart.
I've always wanted to be [music] a singer and not just someone small, but someone known throughout the whole world.
Now I'm not [music] sure. I have doubts.
I have fears.
Sometimes [music] I feel like I will fail at everything.
Sometimes I [music] feel like I'm not good enough, but I know it's not true.
And I know that [music] one day I will achieve a goal, a dream, in fact. Maybe I'll be something big and someone known [music] throughout the whole world. Or maybe just something small [singing] town like a nail tack. So my encouragement to you is be who you want [music] to be. Follow your heart even when the way is tougher than you thought. If you follow [music] your dreams, it will always end in success.
