Letting Everyone on Magma.com work on ONE DRAWINGAdded:
If you like to draw with other people, I wholeheartedly believe that Magma Art Jam is one of the best places that you can find yourself in. It's pretty fun to go into one of these rooms and work on your own thing, but once in a while, you'll have two people who are together working on the same drawing. In today's video, I'm going to look for just that.
I'm going to go on magma.com and see just how many people I can get to work on one big drawing together. The first one we're going to do is this one that's like red and blue and they're making a square together with their hands. Oh my god, Orb. Oh oh my god, someone's already seen it. Nobody's drawn in the box yet, but there's there's someone drawing themselves on top. Oh oh wait, someone's here. Since person two isn't here yet, I'm just going to write it right up here. Person two, we want you.
And while person two isn't here yet, I can just make lovely work with this big beautiful golden frame.
Oh, we got it. We got them. Oh, they're redoing it so that they can like interact with each other. We got some people up here watching, including me.
Watchers one, watchers times two, watchers three. I kind of forgot about myself, but it makes it perfect that we can add a background for these two. I know, they're going to be um they're going to be by a stop block and they're going to say hi to each other cuz they recognize each other. Let's add some clouds. Oh god, I want to add like one of those like recycling bins. There's a lot of There's a lot of eggs down here.
Is that me merch? I don't even need to do self-promotion. You you're just doing it right there. Orb, still Orb poop is drawing these. I feel like there's enough drawing done here for me to start drawing their own characters as well, so let me do that. I'm going to start blocking in the shapes with the lasso tool. Some people ask if this is just how I sketch now and well, I kind of flip-flop between the two. I think sketching with a lasso tool definitely gives me a better idea of what I'm planning out though cuz I'm just blocking in these big shapes. Oh my god, they're glittery. I'm so happy.
Wait, will I be in a VID? I like your hat. Aw, thanks. There we go, there's my addition. Look Look Ugh.
Oh, it's beautiful. These two people contributed. I mean, I did too with the background, but the Yeah, these two people. Just going to add some lighting.
There we go. All right, I'm going to try and make a Polaroid this time. All right, people arrived a lot quicker. So, now we got Slender and we got Darkwolf17. So, welcome. Also, the idea of like getting a base and then having two people on Magma trying to like draw that base, I don't think that's happening anymore. I want to see what people come up with. Now, let's add some doodles onto this notebook.
>> [music] >> Got a little smile. Trying to make like a room. You know how in Polaroid pictures they're always like kind of like noisy and like grayed out. Trying to do something like that. I'm going to go around the canvas and see what else is there. Oh, color it. Oh, you got it.
Going to do one with a lot of blue. Oh my god, I just realized I made it the freaking color palette of a pigeon.
It's the grand ancestor of a pigeon. Oh my [laughter] god.
I'm not sure if this person was going to finish this drawing, so I'm just going to Here we go. Now, I'm going to try and draw a dragon. I'm pretty good at drawing people. I cannot say the same thing about creatures though. I Oh my god, it looks like a bird. Why does it look like a bird?
Aw. Oh my god. Thank you. I like the reflections here.
Aw, thank you. Oh my god, he looks so offended with his hand like that. Like, ugh.
What the heck? So, I guess I'll just stick to the blue color palette.
It kind of looks like Duke Fishron. We have two people interacting with each other, but I feel like we can push that a little bit. So, everyone say hi to Wheel. It's only got three numbers cuz I'm scared to go above five, but this will tell us how many people will try to fit in the next drawing.
Four. That's an unlucky number.
Um, okay. Witches and wizards or anyone that uses magic. That's a really cool prompt, actually. I have such a good idea. Wait. I'm going to steal a little spot. I have an idea. Also, my character, this character is perfect to be a wizard. Oh my god. They're literally an orb. So, the idea I have here is to hopefully get three other artists and we can all draw us lifting up this feather together. It wasn't long before someone came by and spotted it.
Oh, we got one person. And we're going to call this a four wizards spell.
Super hard. This is awesome.
Thank you. Thank you, Bella. So, in case you don't know, Bella's our drawing neighbor. Look at this drawing they did.
There's two. Small tangent, earlier I was like tweaking around with settings and just so happened to be hovering my mouse right above this person's drawing.
So, it looked like my cursor was just directly on their character's face.
Hello.
Uh-oh. And now all that was left to do was just draw until more people show up.
In standard arcane wizard fashion, we're going to use purple and yellow. I think I'm going to upgrade that text to like a quest board kind of thing after I'm done cuz it looks kind of bland right now.
OMG, I hate you. No, don't say that. Too late. Next time, you'll like it. For real. I'll try them as well underneath here. I want us to draw the other person that was working on the drawing with me.
For some reason, I never colored the wand so the whole time it just looks like she's holding up chalk. Speaking of coloring, while I was beginning on the coloring for this person, Bella actually decided to join us, which made me super happy. This also means with one more person, we might actually be able to lift up that feather.
Three. Yes, join us. [music] They have like the This character has like the green and gold color palette, which is beautiful. Very underrated.
Makes them look very woodsy.
Oh my god. Oops. Oops. Oops. Oops. Oops.
I love this. Aw. Thank you. You very much deserve it. Okay, I'm going to come back to that person's artwork, but I I need to start refining this little quest thing up here. As I worked my way with that, somebody appropriately named the Fizz Wizard, who said hi to me, started drawing not too close, but also not too far next to our drawing. Want in. Yeah.
Ooh, okay, okay. Four, four, four, four, four, four, four, four, four. Uh, they're making like a They're making like a giant beam. Hang on, I have an idea. I'm picking up what you're putting down. At this time, Bella seemed to be struggling a little bit more with the pose, and this was completely relatable.
You kind of have to draw at a specific angle just to make the piece look right.
Since we're working on the piece together, I offered, with permission, to help them figure out a pose that looked right. I actually really like the original pose they drew, so I'm just going to do the exact same thing.
I also finished up the drawing of the other character. Tell me if they remind you of anything. But anyway, with our side missions out of the way, I can actually start working on the quest board, which I've been meaning to do since forever. Oh my god, they're going to put reward underneath. Oh my god, you got the vision. You get the vision.
Let's draw some coins. Only 12 gold?
Okay, actually, no, if we were in D&D, 12 gold is a lot. I was pretty much with everything else on my part of the drawing, so all I had to do now was work on the background. Oliver Magic is going to cast this giant beam of light in the middle of darkness. What helped was that I didn't have to keep the background too detailed, since the main focus was on us and the magic, after all. Oh, this person's a bit on the outside. Let's give him a rock to stand on. It's an almighty rock. Wow, this person made it so rainbow. What if he made it like a chain? It's a rainbow binding spell.
Look at this person's art. Oh my god.
And you were saying your art was bad.
I'm so glad you didn't give up. I have a silly idea. Let's make a little star on top of their hat. All this to lift a feather. Level four Level 60.
Oh my god. Level two. Wasted XP on hair dye. XD. Wow, look at the detail on this coin bag. That's amazing. These people helping out by adding in the more intricate details of the background, and that's amazing. And to finish it all off, Bella cast their fire magic, and thus, with all our magic combined, successfully lifting this feather. I actually haven't spent my 12 gold that I got from this quest yet, so let me know what I should get in the comments. Uh this looks awesome. If you need an art prompt, here it is. It's all yours. I wonder if I just like start drawing a background, maybe people will just, you know, add to it. I don't know if it's going to be anything too crazy. Let's try anyway. Instead of prompting, oh, just two people to their characters together. Oh, what if we just like have all of them Should I add floating islands? OMG, yes. I don't know if you can tell, but this background, very sky inspired. Is someone building a fence?
That's cool. One of the most evident things that was happening on this piece was actually someone down here drawing a simple tree. Oh, you know what I can do?
The last time I added a picnic blanket, it went really well, so I'm going to do it again. Let's add a little bush.
Someone's adding a basket as well. I'm going to add a little bird.
Oh my god Oh my god. There's also just like a guy being added. Frankly, there's a lot of guys being added. Somebody as well drew a really giant guy in the middle of the grass, so I added some ancient ruins, and it looked like they awakened from a deep slumber. I looked to my left, and somebody made a generous cute little pond, which I was definitely going to take advantage of. I was going to draw myself fishing. To all the fishers out there, are worms actually good sources of bait?
I swear to god, this person draws an Among Us. Are you Who is doing this? Whoa, who drew this tree? That is That is a really good tree. Most of the ground was covered by this point, so I decided to take my focus to the skies. A lot of people actually flocked to this other sky island that I made, so I decided to build more of those. Someone else had also begun to make an island of their own, and hopefully, soon enough we'll be seeing more things done to it. Do a little campfire. As for reference, the first drawing had mainly two people working on it. The next one had four.
And now cross-reference that with how many people are working on this one.
There's currently 25 people working on the same drawing. Oh my god. I'm going to go up here and just use a little bird stamp. There we go. Got some birds up there. Wait, is this the floating island house from Terraria? I actually never ended up finding out whether this was or was not the island from the game. But for context, I love Terraria and I was not going to let the excuse of me drawing the Wyvern pass me by. All right, let's go check back on the ground. I think we're missing some campfires down here. There was already people sitting in a perfect circle for a campfire to happen, so why not? Yo, there's more people fishing. Oh my god.
And the among us. Look at this, this person's got two fish. Very impressive.
That is That's just straight up pixel art. This is amazing.
I'm going to try doing something. I don't know how good it's going to turn out, but this is a drawing that I did on one of the previous SkyNix collabs and now I'm redrawing it here. I'm pretty sure everyone just agreed that this is the ominous woods corner cuz someone added Slender Man down here. Weird things are happening off in the distance. There's still like 20 people working on this. I'm going to go chill and then we're going to come back. It's the next day. As you can see, I have everything hidden here, so you can see how it looks like from the start. There is absolutely nobody here, but there was a total of 84 participants.
I don't really have anything else to say other than to stall, so I'm just going to start dragging this down and you're going to start seeing everything pop up. I got to scroll a little bit because of just how many layers there are. Look at this.
Oh my god, it's all coming along together. Dude.
>> [laughter] >> Look at this, this is beautiful. There's like a pink flamingo here that is unfinished, so I'm just going to finish this while we talk. I had very much gotten inspired off from seeing SkyNix's collabs of these over the past few years. I was in one of them and it was just a lot of fun and I wanted to do it with more more people. Oh yeah, it's just a random flamingo in the middle of nowhere.
I think my favorite area is this one.
It's like a little grass patch. There's a There's a nether portal and there's like people confused by it. It's like a very small gathering. I love the detail.
Even if this person drew so tiny, look at the detail on this character. Someone else added to the rocks that that I drew. There's this big giant menacing tree at this like big giant menacing area in the background. The Deltarune fan art up here is amazing and obviously got the these little worms that people drew. Thank you. And some people gathered by a campfire over here.
Overall, this was fun. This was so cool.
Oh my god.
Happy midterm or exam season, everyone.
I can't wait for this to be my final year, at least in high school that is. I hope everyone's doing well. You know, get your rest. Make sure you're still doing things that you like. I don't have that much to say, so this is going to be a short end card. This is a really really short end card. Look at how fast this guy's going. Okay, more magma videos soon. There's a lot I want to do with magma. Keep an eye out for that.
Also, I cannot thank you enough for so much love. I can't thank you. All right, take care.
Bye-bye.
