[00:00:11]>> I think when you think cybersecurity, you can have a sense of tapping away at a keyboard, but actually when I've been working in it, it's brought me into contact with all of the big questions of the day.

[00:00:21]>> Because what I learned at Cyber UK is that cybersecurity [music] is really about protecting the systems our lives depend on. Banks, hospitals, energy, transport, >> [music] >> and so much more. Security Minister Dawn Butler compared the cyber attack on Jaguar Land Rover to masked [music] criminals turning up at dealerships, breaking glass, smashing computers, and driving cars off the forecourt. His point was that if we saw that physically, [music] we'd instantly see it as a serious crime. But when the same level of damage happens [music] digitally, it can often feel invisible.

[00:00:52]Just because an attack happens through a computer, doesn't mean the impact stays on a computer. And now we're moving into [music] a world of AI. This is changing the threat. We're seeing scams and fake videos. Yeah, this is something that's going to be a best friend [music] in the world of AI. But this is also bringing the opportunity to develop new technology, too. As the attackers can advance, we can use similar technologies to defend, and that makes it exciting.
