Karnataka Congress Cabinet Drama Escalates As Leaders Demand Portfolios Before Oath

[00:00:00]Congress leaders kind of putting their hand up in the air and saying let us be a part of the cabinet. You've got Kolar Congress leaders now writing to Malikah Jun Kar uh demanding a cabinet birth under the SC right category. Colar MLAs have in fact the Kolar MLA has shot off a letter pushing for a minister post and [music] directly has sent off this letter to Congress chief Malik Khar Jun Kar saying that they have not ensured adequate representation in the cabinet previously and they want that changed this time around. Let's see if their request is heeded or not. But these are requests now pouring in directly to Malik Khjung Kar. Uh I bring in Rahul Gotham for more details on this. Rahul uh even as we're seeing of course all these requests of who will be in the cabinet who won't be you know we've spoken about Sidra Maya's meetings uh with Rahul Gandhi Sidraaya's meetings with Malik Khajun Kar what about DK Shukumar Rahul who is he slated to meet what is happening [music] as far as DKS's demands are concerned >> well DK is obviously uh uh you know in a position to just wait and watch uh he's first waiting that then Sudra Raaya chapter gets over he gets you know convinced by the high command and then he would obviously be playing his own cards. Uh remember last night also when you know reporters asked him about Sidra Ramaya he said that my chief minister has landed in Jaipur uh instead of Delhi because of bad weather. So uh he clearly knows that uh he would not be uh he would not like to be seen as somebody opposing uh you know Sidra Ramaya given the fact that Sidra Ramena holds a very very big stature uh in Karnataka politics but uh there's a high political drama unfolding Axita as we speak uh there are several MLAs MLC's who have already reached the doorsteps of Congress President Malikarjun Kar seeking cabinet birth for themselves. So uh you know uh even before uh the chief minister takes oath uh we already are having applications uh for cabinet uh you know portfolios as far as congress president concerned. So clearly uh you know as as we speak uh the party is only uh trying to bring Sidra Ramaya on board before taking any decisions uh in regard to the new cabinet uh uh formation about the Rajya Sabha elections about MLC elections because Sidra Ramaya we've been informed from our sources is pushing very strongly uh that his loyalist his supporters should be accommodated uh in the new cabinet given the fact that uh he [music] ensured a smooth transition of power in Karnataka without uttering a word. This is what uh you know his supporters are saying that without uttering a word uh you know he he sent his resignation to high command and and therefore now he would want that uh that that his commitments should also be now be honored by the by the high command and therefore his close aids uh you know people like you know BK Har Prasad, Tati Jaroli, MB Patil, KJ George all these people uh should be given you know respectable positions in the new government. So clearly we uh uh uh you know we have to really wait and watch you because after this meeting will be uh over we've been informed that Sidar Ramaya is likely to meet Casey Vin Gopal also and uh then uh over there the other things would be discussed. So uh you know uh the the sky is the limit as far as the Rome is concerned because uh we've been informed that he has brought a very long list of uh you know things that he's seeking at this point of time given the fact that party is not in a position uh to ignore his demands and therefore he's also playing his hands uh you know uh uh very wisely at this point of time.
