That moment, those two words, tell you more about who Trump is and how he thinks about other people than almost anything else in the entire factual record. He knew Pence was in danger. He knew people in that building were being attacked. And his reaction, his actual spontaneous, unguarded reaction in private was, "So what?" Not concern, not horror, not urgency, indifference.
