AI Labs are Building "Scaffolding"

[00:00:00]The newer models already are an orchestration of different agents. So, there is there are layers that are coming to us from the labs themselves.

[00:00:10]They're already manipulating that intelligence and how it interfaces with us. One thing that I've been saying for at this point well over a year, you know, that the policy conversation is way too focused on [music] the model level where it's quite clear that where we're headed is more in the direction of systems and products.

[00:00:30]Claude for example is an application that sits on top of it which is an orchestration of the model. It's like a the term in the industry is harness or scaffolding [music] to make the model a really capable software engineering agent. This is kind of the current frontier of AI capabilities and I expect that that will only go up [music] to the point that my favorite analogy for like what their business will be like not necessarily for what the impact of AI will be like but just for like what these companies as business entities are going to be like is kind of like operating system vendors in the way [music] that like Apple and Microsoft are.
