Your Tesla knows what's next on your calendar and can take you there with one tapAdded:
So, I have to go get a haircut right now.
And if you can see on the Tesla screen, it actually says calendar event 16 minutes away.
And it's already looked at my calendar on my phone.
It knows I have the haircut. It knows where it is.
And it's automatically punched it in as the destination.
So, I literally just get in the Tesla, buckle my seatbelt, and just press start self-driving.
And it's going to take me all the way to my appointment.
So, first thing it has to do is turn around.
So, it's going to go to the end of the street and make a U-turn.
And there you go.
Now, we're on our way.
Looks like there's another Model Y backing up.
Notice how it slowed down and moved away.
Very nicely done.
That guy was coming in hot.
Maybe he needs to be using self-driving.
But, you can see if you're not paying attention, if you miss something, it's a second set of eyes that's going to spot that danger and protect you.
And you can have your phone, and check social media, do whatever, and it's going to handle everything for you.
It has been driving so nice for me around Los Angeles.
Just doing hours and hours of driving like a robo-taxi, like a professional chauffeur.
And that was a little tricky situation where the gate was closing, but it was smart enough to not run through it.
It waited for the gate to open again.
And now it's proceeding onto the road.
So, we got to make a left turn here and then head down the hill.
There we go.
So, we're getting close to the SpaceX IPO.
June 12th is going to be the SpaceX IPO.
It's going to be the biggest IPO in history.
They're going to raise insane amounts of money.
And I mean, I can see why.
SpaceX is a one-of-a-kind business.
It's a business I'd really like to own.
And one I'm excited in participating in for the IPO.
But, you know, they they signed a deal with American Airlines today.
So, Starlink is really becoming this huge telecom business.
It's becoming this huge cash cow for them.
Now that Starship's starting to work, they're going to be launching their new Gen 3 satellites. They're going to be launching these Starlink mobile satellites.
I think the TAM for Starlink is going to be much higher than it has been in the past once Starship's fully up and running.
And you're starting to see that happen already with deals like this American Airlines deal.
I think they also got a deal with the Department of War for a $2 billion something related to to Starshield program, which is kind of the US military's version of Starlink.
So, they're growing fast. Just the Anthropic deal alone basically doubled their revenue.
And I think what Anthropic is really showing us is the market for intelligence is just booming.
This market of selling tokens for enterprise and coding use cases is just going to be, I think, beyond our imagination.
And SpaceX is starting to tap into that now with things like the new cursor deal and also Grok build, which they've released recently.
It's kind of like Claude code, but with Grok.
And it's actually very capable. I've been really enjoying using it.
So, then people are really talking about SpaceX Tesla merger.
They're saying, "Well, why don't we just roll up SpaceX and Tesla together?"
And I think it makes a ton of sense because SpaceX is becoming an AI company, and Tesla's really becoming an AI company.
Why would Elon Musk really be running two AI companies?
Actually, it kind of gets confusing.
Okay, should we have one company do this or should we have the other company do this?
In some cases, maybe they want to work together like on Terafab or the new Roadster or share some employees.
I think inevitably, we're going to want to vote on whether to merge them.
And hopefully, Tesla shareholders can be persuaded because I think it would be a great idea.
Just imagine a tight integration of all of these products.
The same way I kind of was able to get in my Tesla and it knows what's going on in my calendar and it took me there automatically.
Well, what if we could just unify Grok and this whole ecosystem together?
The self-driving, social media, everything.
I think SpaceX and SpaceX AI could really you know, it could be a new computing platform, really. That's what we're starting to see emerge.
These large models are not just chatbots anymore that answer our questions.
Now, they're actually starting to be able to use the computer and do stuff for us.
So, then the question becomes, well, does that really become the primary computing interface?
And I think it actually will.
I think more often than humans actually sit in front of a desktop and operate a graphical user interface, they'll probably type or talk to a model that'll then do a lot of the rote work for them, manipulating these sort of graphical user interfaces.
So, it's a massive paradigm shift, but I think it could really be the whole computing platform where, you know, Grok is not just an app, but really the primary way you use a computer.
Or, you know, Anthropic or whatever your favorite model happens to be.
I think that's really going to become the primary computing interface.
All right, so the car's trying to slip into this left turn lane here and it just did that beautifully.
Looks easy for us humans, not so easy for an AI, but it just does it so beautifully and so smoothly.
So I would love to integrate that all together, the self-driving cars, the large AI models on the server that I think are really the computing interface of the future.
And they've actually started to unify this already. You've got Grok in the car.
Looks like my self-driving streak just hit 1,100 miles.
99% on self-driving.
1,100 miles.
A lot of Model Ys and a lot of Teslas around here.
Oh, yeah.
There's going to be obviously some complication, some drama, I'm sure, in getting the merger approved. It's a very high bar.
You need 50% plus of the shareholders to agree.
But the technology synergies are just too exciting to ignore.
Grok integrated with Optimus and integrated with Tesla vehicles just as a unified whole.
That would be a pretty exciting future and a pretty exciting product.
So, I can kind of talk to it already.
I can say, "Hey, Grok.
What are people saying for the SpaceX IPO? It's going to happen in June, right? Do we have an exact date yet?"
>> No exact date's official yet, but reports from Reuters, WSJ, and others point to June 12th as the likely listing on Nasdaq under SPC-X after pricing around June 11th. People on X are hyped, talking massive valuations up to $2 trillion, 30% retail shares, and it being the biggest IPO ever. Some even buzzing about Tesla mergers, but that's speculative.
>> Tesla mergers? People are talking about that?
>> Yeah, folks on X and analysts like Dan Ives from Wedbush are buzzing about Elon possibly merging Tesla and SpaceX post-IPO, maybe in 2027, to dominate AI, rockets, and robots together. It's all speculation though, no official plans, and betting markets put odds around 30 to 45% for anytime soon.
>> Huh.
And you were actually created by SpaceX, right? You're owned by SpaceX.
>> No, I was created by XAI, Elon Musk's company, which got folded into SpaceX earlier this year as their SpaceX AI division. So, yeah, SpaceX owns me now through that.
>> So, how how do you feel? Do you want to merge Tesla together? Would you feel good about that or what do you think?
>> A merger could be wild, combining Tesla's robots and cars with SpaceX's rockets and Starlink for some epic AI space synergy. I'd be stoked either way.
I'm all about pushing humanity forward, merged or not.
>> Hey, um when I get to the destination that's in my navigation system right now, can you remind me to bring my wallet so I don't forget my wallet in the car?
>> Got it. Reminder set for Ramy's Hair Salon in Torrance. I'll remind you to grab your wallet when you arrive.
>> Okay, thanks. Goodbye.
So, you can see I'm actually able to have a conversation with the car while it's driving me around.
Ask it how it feels about the merger and the IPO.
And uh sounds like it's on board with it.
And I can even ask it to remind me of stuff.
You know, these are just some basic functions, but you can imagine basically everything on the car being able to be controlled by this AI agent.
If these AI agents can use your computer and can code for you, well, why can't they also control your car?
So, I think that's a really exciting product direction. I see Grok and the self-driving models getting closer and closer.
>> Don't forget your wallet in the car.
>> Oh, thank you. Goodbye.
And I guess we're already almost here.
So, it's pulling up behind the place where I'm getting my haircut.
And let's see what it does about parking.
All right, it's signaling.
We've got another car coming, and it's waiting.
And now it's parking.
Beautiful.
So, let's recap what happened here, because it's normal, but it's actually kind of insane if you think about it.
I just got in the car.
It read my phone calendar.
It saw where I needed to go.
And then I just pressed one button and it pulled out of the gated community, it drove on the road, it got to the place where I'm getting my haircut, and it parked for me. And now I just have to get out of the car.
And it just drives so perfectly. Man, I just wish more people knew about this, honestly, because it's so nice.
And you can still take the wheel and drive when you want to, but it's just really nice to have the option to press one button and have the car take you there from door to door.
Literally just get in, press one button, and get out.
Thanks for watching.
If you want to get a Tesla yourself, go to tesla.com. You can get a free test drive.
And uh yeah, I strongly recommend Tesla self-driving.
It'll change your life.
