In the Parable of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:30-37), Jesus teaches that our neighbor is anyone in need, regardless of their background, culture, or beliefs, and that true compassion means helping others without judgment or conditions, as demonstrated when a Samaritan helped a beaten traveler while religious leaders passed by.

The Good Samaritan (Luke 10:30-37):😲🔥Ajouté :
Master, what is the great commandment?
Love the Lord your God with all your heart.
And love your neighbor as yourself.
But who is my neighbor?
>> Jesus answered with this story.
>> A traveler was going down dangerous road from [music] Jerusalem to Jericho when robbers attacked him.
They beat him badly, took everything he had, and left him half dead by the [music] roadside. A priest came along, saw the injured man, and passed by on the other side. Then a Levite, another religious man, did the same. He looked, but kept walking. But then a Samaritan came by. Samaritans and Jews usually avoided each other. They had deep differences and tensions. Yet when this Samaritan saw the hurting man, he was filled with compassion.
He went to him, poured oil and wine on the wounds to clean and soothe them, bandaged him and lifted him onto his own donkey. Easy now, I've got you. And took him to an inn. We are here. You are safe now. There he cared for him through the night. Thank you.
>> Jesus used this story to show that our neighbor isn't just people [music] like us. It's anyone in need, even someone from a completely different background, culture, or [music] side of things. The Samaritan helped the hurting man without asking questions or agreeing with his beliefs or choices. But here's the key.
Showing compassion like that doesn't mean you condone or approve of everything. The Samaritan helped the injured man without asking questions or agreeing with his beliefs, lifestyle, or choices. He saw a fellow human in need and helped [music] him. I think we all could learn from this. So next time you see someone in need and look away because you they voted for that man or against that man, remember what Jesus taught us. If these words have brought you peace or rest for your soul,
