Iran's demonstrated ability to strike a massive 600-foot South Korean ship with a sea-skimming drone or USV, causing catastrophic damage to the engine room, reveals significant naval threat capabilities that could be used to close the Strait of Hormuz, especially when combined with their arsenal of cruise missiles and ballistic missiles carrying 500-2,000 lb warheads traveling at seven times the speed of sound.

So, we just got some photos of damage caused by an Iranian projectile of some kind to a massive South Korean ship. And I want to just go over real quick what this means about Iranian capabilities.
All right, this is the HMM Namu. It's a ship that's about 600 ft long. It's really big as you can see from the photographs.
And it was hit by a projectile. Not really known at this time what it was, but we can kind of make some deductions here.
21-ft wide hole, massive damage to the engine room. It's exactly where you'd want to hit. So, precise, sea skimming just above the water in the most vulnerable spot.
And this is probably not a cruise missile because it would be even worse damage. What this looks like is a drone or USV, meaning basically a drone that goes on the water, not one that flies through the air.
Why this is important is Iran has thousands of these things, okay? If they can cause this kind of catastrophic damage to a massive ship with something that's not even their best weapon, um that's really bad. I mean, for anybody who wants to try to reopen Strait of Hormuz using force. Because they also have cruise missiles and ballistic missiles, which have massive warheads between 500 and 2,000 lb. The And I should ballistic missiles will also be going like seven times the speed of sound, so the kinetic energy is unbelievable.
So, putting all this together, it just kind of confirms the amount of control that Iran has and the arsenal is very impressive that they've built in order to keep Hormuz closed.
